General Safety Instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.

Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.

• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
• Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off.
• Remove the plug from the socket.
• The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.
• Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
  Use only original spare parts.
  In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Do not use this device near baths, wash basins or other vessels containing water.

WARNING:

• This appliance may be used by children aged from 8 years up and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge proved they do so under supervision or have been given instructions on how to use the appliance safely and understand the hazards involved.

Children must not play with the appliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are supervised.

• The nozzles become hot during operation!

• If the hair dryer is used in the bathroom, disconnect it from the mains after use as nearby water presents a hazard. This also applies if the appliance is switched off.

• Please ensure that the inlet grille remains free of fluff and hairs. Danger of fire!

• As additional protection we recommend the installation of a fault current protection device (FI/RCD) with a rated current of not more than 30mA in the wiring system of the bathroom. Please contact an authorised electrician for advice.

Commissioning

1. Applicare eventualmente un ugello.

2. You can dry single hair locks by concentrating the flow of hot air with the hairdressing nozzle.

3. The diffuser is the ideal solution to dry curly hair without losing volume.

4. In order to replace the attachment, first remove the old attachment by pulling it off and then pushing on the new one until it clicks into place.

Electrical Connection

• Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device. You can find this information on the nameplate.
• Connect the device to a duly installed protective contact socket.

Use

1. Turn the appliance on with the bottom switch on the handle.
2. Select an air stream level on the handle (bottom switch): Position 0: off

Position: gentle stream of air
Position strong stream of air

Setting the Temperature level (top switch):

Position: low temperature

Position: Eco: Environmentally friendly energy saving setting, medium temperature for gentle drying and shaping.

Position high temperature for rapid drying.

1. COOL SHOT (Cold Air)

: With this switch you can stop the heating process.

Hold the button down in this position according to the desired interval length. When the button is released it returned automatically to the initial position.

Ionizing function -

Reduction of static in hair

The appliance is also fitted with an ionizer which gives off negative ions with the air flow when switching on. This proc supports safe, gentle drying of hair and also promotes a be hair structure, maximizes hair volume, provides for a silky fin and also reduces static in the hair.

This process is particularly gentle on stressed hair.

Switch-off

Set the bottom switch to "0" after use and disconnect from the mains.

Storage

• Leave the device to cool before putting it away!
  Hang the device up by the suspension eye.

Mains Cable

The mains cable should only be wound up loosely.
- Never tie the cable tightly round the device, as over time this may result in the cable breaking.
- Check the mains cable regularly for damage.

Cleaning and care

WARNING:

• Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socket.
• Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth without additives.

Air Intake Grill

Please clean the grill on the air intake side of the hairdryer regularly in order to avoid excessive temperatures as a result of heat accumulation.

1. Remove the air intake grill by simultaneously pushing and pulling on the long sides with thumb and middle finger.
2. Remove any dirt that is present. If necessary, a fine brush can be used.
