Charging the VCM36-W

Powering on/off
- Long tap the mute button for 5 seconds to power on the VCM36-W. The battery LED indicator flashes green and then off.
- Long tap the mute button for 15 seconds to power off the VCM36-W. The battery LED indicator flashes red and then off.
Pairing the VCM36-W
- Pairing directly
- Connect the USB-C port on the VCM36-W to the USB port on the video conference system/UVC camera/AVHub using the USB-C cable.
- The Mute LED indicator fast flashes yellow during pairing. The display device will show: Wireless microphone is paired successfully.
- Disconnect the cable, then you can use the VCM36-W.
- Pairing by Yealink RoomConnect software
- Connect the USB-C port on the VCM36-W to the USB port on the PC using the USB-C cable.
- Connect the Video Out port on the UVC camera/AVHub to the same PC using the USB-B cable.
- Run the Yealink RoomConnect software on the PC. The Mute LED indicator fast flashes yellow during pairing. After paired successfully, the VCM36-W card appears on the Yealink RoomConnect software.
- Disconnect the cable, then you can use the VCM36-W.
Note: Currently, only wired pairing is available.
Muting or Unmuting the VCM36-W
- Tap the mute button to mute it.
The mute LED indicator glows red.
- Tap the mute button again to unmute it.
LED Instruction
- Mute LED indicator:

| Solid red | The VCM36-W is muted. |
| Solid green | The VCM36-W is unmuted. |
| Fast flashing yellow | The VCM36-W is pairing. |
| Flashing yellow | The VCM36-W is searching for signal. |
| Flashing green | Ringing. |
| Flashing red and green alternately | The paired device is looking for the microphone. |
| Off | • The VCM36-W is in standby mode. • The VCM36-W is powered off. |
- Battery LED indicator:
| LED Status | Description |
| Solid red | Charging. |
| Solid green | Fully charged. |
| Slowly flashing red | The battery capacity is less than 20%. |
| Fast flashing red 3 times and then off | The battery capacity is too low to power on the VCM36-W. |
| Solid green for 3 seconds and then off | The VCM36-W is standby. |
| Solid green for one second and then off | The VCM36-W is powered on. |
| Off | • The VCM36-W is in standby mode. • The VCM36-W is powered off. |
Note: When the VCM36-W is not used for a while, it will enter standby mode. You can wake up the VCM36-W by tapping the Mute button or placing it in the charging cradle. After wake-up, the VCM36-W will return to the state before standby.
Upgrading the VCM36-W
If the video conferencing system or UVC camera has a built-in wireless microphone firmware after pairing with VCM36-W successfully, the VCM36-W will be upgraded automatically.
Note: Make sure the VCM36-W has enough power before upgrading.

The following basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce risk of fire, electrical shock, and other personal injury.
Environmental Requirements
- Place the product on a stable, level and non-slip surface.
- Do not place the product close to heat sources, in direct sunlight or need to any household appliances with electromagnetic field or electromagnetic fields. Use a microwave oven for a longer time.
- Do not allow the product to come into contact with water, dust and chemicals.
- Protect the product from aggressive liquids and vapors.
- Do not place the product on or near any inflammable or firevulnerable object, such as rubber-made materials.
- Do not install the products in rooms with high humidity, for example, in bathrooms, laundry rooms and wet basements.
Safety Notes During Operation
- Use only spare parts and accessories supplied or authorized by Yealink. The operation of non-authorized parts cannot be guaranteed.
- Do not place heavy objects on top of the handset or the base station in case of damage and deformation caused by the heavy load.
- Do not open the handset or the base station by yourself for repair purpose, without the help of a professional or high voltages. Have all repairs carried out by authorized service personnel.
- Do not let a child operate the product without guidance.
- Keep the small accessories contained in your product out of reach of small children in case of accidental swallowing.
- Before plugging or unplugging any cable, make sure that your hands are completely dry.
- Do not hold the handset up to your ear when speakphone is on or when the voice calls as the column can be very loud, which may be harmful to your hearing.
- During a thunderstorm, stop using the product and disconnect it from the power supply to avoid lightning strike.
- If the product is left unused for a rather long time, disconnect the base station from the power supply and unplug the power adapter.
- When there is smoke emitted from the product, or some abnormal noise or smell, disconnect the product from the power supply, and unplug the power supply.
- Remove the electrical cord from an outlet by pulling gently on the power adapter, not by pulling the cord.
Battery Precautions
- Do not immerse the battery into water, which could short-circuit and damage the battery.
- Do not expose the battery to an open flame or leave the battery where it is exposed to extremely high temperatures, which could cause the battery to explode.

- Do power the handset off before removing the battery.
- Do not try to use the battery for the power supply of any device other than this handset.
- Do not open or mutilate the battery, released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to your eyes or skin.
- Use only the rechargeable battery pack delivered with the handset or those rechargeable battery packs expressly recommended by Yealink.
- Defective or exhausted battery should never be disposed as of a municipal landfill.
- The disposal of the battery supplier, a licensed battery dealer, is designated collection facility.
A Notices of Cleaning
- Before cleaning the base station, stop using it and disconnect it from the power supply.
- Remove the battery before cleaning the handset to reduce risk of electric shock.
- Only clean your product with a piece of slightly moist and anti-static cloth.
- Keep the power plug clean and dry. Using a dirty or wet power plug may lead to electric shock or other perils.
ENVIRONMENTAL RECYCLING

Never dispose of the device with domestic waste
Ask your Town Council about how to dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way. The cardboard box, plastic packaging and player components may be recycled in accordance with prevailing recycling regulations in your country.
Always adhere to prevailing regulations

Troubleshooting
The unit cannot supply power to Yealink device.
There is a bad connection with the plug.

The cable between the unit and the Yealink device is connected incorrectly.
- Connect the cable correctly.
You cannot connect the cable properly.

Some dust, etc., may be in the port.
- Clean the port.
