Can I use a custom charging station or do I have to use the original charging dock provided with the VCM36-W?
Frequently Asked Questions - 17 d
Response Notice-Facile

The Yealink VCM36-W has two charging methods: the charging dock provided with the product (with a 1.8 m cable) or directly via USB-C to a power source.

Regarding the use of a custom or built-in charging station:

  • If your station has a standard USB-C connector and provides the correct voltage/current, it is technically possible to use it. The microphone is not limited to the original dock for USB-C charging.
  • Important: Ensure that your built-in station complies with standard USB-C electrical specifications to avoid damaging the VCM36-W's built-in battery.
  • The provided charging dock remains the safest and tested solution for this model.

If you are unsure about the specifications of your custom station (voltage, current), it is recommended to prefer the original dock or contact Yealink support for compatibility confirmation.
