This 2-in-1 brush cutter/grass trimmer 1200 BC-2 is designated with a maximum power input 0f1200W. With the cutter blade and cutting guard attached the product is intended to cut heavier weeds. With the trimmer head and trimming guard attached the product is intended to cut smaller types of weed, lawn grass or similar soft vegetation. The product should not be used to cut unusually thick grass or vegetation, wet grass or to shred leaves etc. This product is for private light domestic use only in small spaces; it is not suitable for commercial applications or for larger open spaces and should not be used for any purpose other than described.

Power tool use and care a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Holding the machine with both hands will avoid loss of control. n) Hold the machine pl insulated gripping surfaces only, because the cutting line or blade may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. À damaged supply cord may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. s)Keep all parts of the body away from the cutter, line or blade When the machine is operating. Before you start the machine, make sure the cutter, line or blade is not contacting anything. A moment of inattention while operating the machine may result in injury to yourself or others. t) Do not operate the machine above waist height. This helps prevent unintended cutter or blade contact and enables better control of the machine in unexpected situations. u) When cutting brush or saplings that are under tension, be alert for spring back. When the tension in the wood fibres is released, the brush or sapling may strike the operator and/or throw the machine out of control
v) Use extreme caution when cutting brush and saplings. The
slender material may catch the blade and be whipped toward you or pull ou off balance. w{Maintain control ofthe machine and do not touch cutters, lines or blades and other hazardous moving parts while they are still in motion. Zhis reduces the risk ofinjury from moving parts.

Blade thrust causes and related warnings : Blade thrust is à sudden sideways, forward or backward motion ofthe machine, which may occur when the blade jams or catches on an object such as a sapling or a tree stump. lt can be violent enough to cause the machine and/or operator to be propelled in any direction, and possibly lose control of the machine. Blade thrust and its related hazards can be avoided by taking proper precautions as given below. à) Maintain a firm grip with both hands on the machine and position your arms to resist blade thrust. Position your body to the left side of the machine. Blade thrust can increase the ris of injury due to the machine moving unexpectedly. Blade thrust can be controlled by the operator if proper precautions are taken. b) Ifthe blade binds, or when interrupting a cut for any reason, switch the machine off and hold the machine motionless in the material until the blade comes to a complete stop. While the blade is binding, never attempt to remove the machine from
the material or pull the machine backward while the blade is in motion, otherwise blade thrust may occur. Investigate and take corrective actions to eliminate the cause of blade binding. ©) Do not use blunt or damaged blades. Blunt or damaged blades increase the risk ofjamming or catching on an object, resulting in blade thrust. d) Always maintain good visibility of the material being cut. Blade thrust is more likely to occur in areas where it is difficult to see the material being cut. e) If you are approached by another person while operating the machine, switch the machine off, There is an increased risk of injury v other persons being struck by the moving blade in the event of blade thrust. Training a) Read the instructions carefully, Be familiar with the controls and the correct use ofthe machine. Please use the machine properly; any unintended use may cause à danger to people. b) Never allow children, persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the machine. Local regulations cn restrict the age ofthe operator. Q Keep in mind thatthe operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to other people or their property. d) Note: National regulations may restrict the use ofthe machine. e) Keep other people including children, animals and bystanders outside the 15 meter hazard zone. Stop the machine immediately if you are approached.
Preparation a) While operating the machine always wear substantial footwear and long trousers. Do not operate the machine when barefoot or wearing open sandals. Avoid wearing dothing that is loose fitting or that has hanging cords or ties. b) Before use, check the supply and extension cord for signs of damage or aging,. Ifthe cord becomes damaged or entangled during use, disconnect the cord from the supply immediately. DO NOT TOUCH THE CORD BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE SUPPLY. Do not use the machine if the cord is damaged or worn. © Keep extension cords away from moving hazardous parts to avoid damages to the cords which can lead to contact with live parts. d) Before use, always visually inspect the machine for damaged, missing or misplaced guards or shields. e) Never operate the machine while people, especially children, or pets are nearby. f) Always inspect the tool before use, and after dropping or other impacts, check for sign of wear or damage and repair as necessary, especially the parts of the cutting head. g) Check the tool regularly for loose fasteners, damaged parts, such as crack in the cutting attachment. Operation a) Keep supply and extension cords away from cutting parts. b) Wear eye protection, protective clothing and stout & slip-resistant shoes at all times while operating the machine. Q Avoid using the machine in bad weather conditions especially when there is a risk of lightning.
2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
d) Use the machine only in daylight or good artificial light. e) Never operate the machine with damaged guards or shields or without guards or shields in place. f) Switch on the motor only when the hands and feet are away from the cutting means. g) Always disconnect the machine from the power supply (i.e. remove the plug from the mains, remove the disabling device or removable battery). Make sure that cutting means have come to a complete stop.

1) Use the hex key{number 21) to insert into the round hole of the gear
box, manually rotate the gear box until the tool can be stuck in the gear box, 2) Use the spanner(number 13) to remove the nut (number 16), remove the fx plate (number 15); 3) spool set installation: rotate the spool set to install it into the gear box until it is screwed. Blade installation: Install the cross blade round hole to the round tab ofthe lower plate(number 14); note that the blade edge and the rotating arrow on the top of the shroud should be the same . Install the fix plate {number 15) and nut (number 16) in turn, then tighten the nut. r. Before working, check that the spool set and the blade are effectively secured, check that the knob is clamped to the tube sleeve, and check that all screws and nuts are tight. s. Use the spanner{number 13) to loosen the handle screws, adjust the front and rear position of the handle appropriately to suit the different needs of the user, and then re-lock the screws firmly in tum. t. Do not simultaneously wear multiple belt harnesses or multiple shoulder harnesses. u. When wearing a harness, no other wearable interferes with the release and removal of the harness
v. How to prevent the blockage:1) Before and during each use, clean up
the grass dlippings or debris on the blade or spool set in time; 2)Avoid cutting off the higher grass at one time, for the high grass can be cut in multiple times; 3)when cutting the vines, you also need to slow down the action and cut offthe grass in multiple times w. Please follow the specifications or ask the help ofthe authorised service centres for the maintance ofthe blade ,otherwise the effect of blade thrust behaviour may result
x) Keep the cutting head below waist level. Always cut from left to right
so that debris is thrown away from you. y) Maintain a correct working posture. The operator must take a break and change working position after working for a long period. Keep a firm footing and balance during operation: the harness must be used if itis provided.
2) Never replace the non-metallic cutting means with metallic cutting

Never touch moving hazardous parts before the machine is disconnected from the mains and the moving hazardous parts have come to a complete stop. bb) Never connect a damaged cord to the supply or touch a damaged cord before it is disconnected from the supply for the reason that damaged cords can lead to contact with live parts. Maintenance and storage a)Disconnect the machine from the power supply (i.e. remove the plug from the mains, remove the disabling device or removable battery) before carrying out maintenance or cleaning work. b}Use only the manufacturer’s recommended replacement parts and accessories. dInspect and maintain the machine regularly. Have the machine repaired only by an authorized repairer. d)When not in use, store the machine out ofthe reach of children.
Recommendation The machine should be supplied via a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current of not more than 30 mA. PANNE When working with the cutter blade there is always a risk of kickback ifthe cutting head comes into contact with a hard object! Kickback will cause the sudden stalling ofthe cutting head, which in turn results in the cutting head being forced in the opposite direction to the rotation of the cutter blade! Ensure that you retain a firm grip with both hands at any sign of such kickback, pay attention and retain a firm stance to avoid injuries!" Vibration and noise reduction To reduce the impact of noise and vibration emission, limit the operation time, use low-vibration and low-noise operating modes and wear pesonal protecie equipment. Take the following points into account to minimise the vibration and noise exposure risks: 1.0nly use the product as intended by its design and these instructions. 2.Ensure that the product is in pol Condition and well maintained. 3.Use the correct attachments for the product and ensure they are in good condition. 4.Keep a tight grip of the handles/grip surface. 5.Maintain this product in accordance with these instructions and keep it well lubricated (where appropriate). 6.Plan your work schedule to spread any high vibration tool use across a longer period oftime.

Residual risks Even if you are operating this product in accordance with all the safety requirements, potential risks of injury and damage remain. The following dangers can arise in connection with the structure and design of this product: 1.Health defects resulting from vibration emission ifthe product is being used over long periods oftime or is not adequately managed and properly maintained. 2.Injuries and damage to property due to broken cutting attachments or the sudden impact of hidden objects during use. 3.Danger ofinjury and property damage caused by lying objects. 4.Prolonged use of this product expose the operator to vibrations and may produce ‘whitefinger’ disease. In order to reduce the risk, please wear gloves and keep your hands warm. fany ofthe'whitefinger’ symptoms appear, seek medical advice immediately. Whitefinger” symptoms include: numbness, loss of feeling, tingling, pricking, pain, loss of strength, changes in skin colour or condition. These symptoms normally appear in the fingers, hands or wrists. The risk increases at low temperatures.
VAN This product produces an electromagnetic field during operation! This field may under some circumstances interfere with active or passive medical implants! To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, we recommend persons with medical implants to consult their doctor and the medical implant manufacturer before operating this product! Trimming Before use, check that the cutter in good working order and thatthe length ofthe blade is correct, as follows:
1. Ensure the switch is on the off position and disconnect the cable plug
from the mains supply.
2. Examine the general condition ofthe tool. Inspect the guard, switch,
and blade. Check for loose screws, misalignment, and binding of moving parts, improper mounting, broken parts and any other condition that may affect its safe operation. lfabnormal noise or vibration occurs during operation, turn the machine off immediately and have the problem corrected .Do not use a damaged tool and attach a label” DO NOT USE" to the tool.
3. Ensure that you are on à flat surface and have secure footing.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
Connect the cable to the power. To switch on, pull the safety lock-off button forward and then keep the switch trigger depressed. To switch off, release the switch trigger. WARNING! The tool runs for approximately 5 seconds after it has been switched off. Letthe motor came to à complete stand still before setting the tool down.
Make sure thatthe work area is free of rock, debris, lines and other foreign objects. Cutthe grass/brush by suiing the tool from right to left and the tool indined forwards at an angle of about 30°. Start cutting nearest the mains power source and work away from it to make it easier to avoid the cable. Do not overload your tool. After finishing the cutting operation, keep the head close to ground level, release the switch and follow the motor to come to a complete stand still. Place the tool on the ground, switch off and remove the cable plug from the main supply. 4-tooth metal blade provided with the machine. The metal blade is used for cutting brush and weeds up to 23cm in diameter. Use of saw blade with this machine is prohibited. WARNING! DANGER DO NOT USE À BRUSH CUTTER T0 CUTTREES Use the shoulder hamess at all times. Adjust both the harness and the harness clamp on the unit so that the unit hangs à few inches above ground level. The cutting head and the metal debris shield should be level in all directions. Harness the unit on the right side of your body. DO NOT CUT WITH À DULL, CRACKED OR DAMAGED METAL BLADE. Before working, inspect for obstructions such as boulders, metal stakes or stands of wire from broken fences. Ian obstruction cannot be removed , mark its location so that you can avoid it with the blade . Rocks and metal will dull or damage a blade. Wire can catch on the blade head and flap around or be thrown into the air. Cut only with the side ofthe blade so that the debris moves away from
you. Do not force the blade to cut. Do not change the cutting angle after you have cut into the wood. Avoid using any pressure or leverage which could ause the blade to bind or crack.
EXTENDING THE LINE FOR SPOOL SET
To extend the line, press the spool onto the ground whilst the motor is tuming and the line will extend automatically. For most effective grass timming, ensure the machine is operation at full speed and then use Slow shallow sweeps ofthe line, ensuring that you do not overload the machine by cutting too fast or cutting through heavy terrain.
2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CUTTING WITH THE SPOOL
Make sure that the work area is free of rock, debris, lines and other foreign objects. Start the tool before approaching the grass to be cut. Iyou need to release the line, “bump”the spool button of the trimmer on the ground to feed out line. IFtoo much line is fed out and it projects beyond the guard edge it is cut by the line cutting blade. Cutthe grass/brush by swinging the tool from right to left and the tool indined forwards at an angle of about 30°. Light cuts are better than heavy cuts as they allow the cut grass to fall away from the spool preventing the grass from clogging the spool. Start cutting nearest the mains power source and work away from it to make it easier to avoid the cable. High grass should be cut in layers always beginning from the top. Do not cut damp or wet grass. Do not overload your tool. Avoid wearing the line out quickly by knocking against hard objects (stones, walls, fences etc.).
