Never immerse the main body in water or any other liquid, or put it in the dishwasher. The appliance should not come into contact with water during cleaning.

- Clean the tank, steam nozzle and filter holder regularly. To keep your coffee machine in a perfect condition, we recommend the use of a special descaler product for coffee machines to descale the appliance approximately once every 12 months (depending on the hardness of the water and the frequency with which the appliance is used).
- Do not modify or repair the appliance. In the event of any anomaly in the appliance, do not use it and take it to an authorised assistance service. - Do not use any parts or accessories not supplied or recommended by SOLAC. - Before plugging the appliance into the mains, check that the indicated voltage is the same as in your home. - Always unplug the appliance after use and before assembling or removing parts, and performing any maintenance or cleaning operations. Also unplug it in the case of a power cut. The appliance must be switched off before plugging or unplugging it into the mains - Never pull the cord or use it to hang up the appliance. Always unplug the appliance by pulling the connection pin, and not the cord. - Make sure the cord does not come into contact with sharp edges or hot surfaces. Do not leave the cord hanging over the edge of a table or worktop, to prevent children from pulling it and causing the appliance to fall. - Remove all elements from the inside or outside of the appliance used for protection during transport or for sales promotions, such as paper or plastic bags, plastic sheets, cardboard and stickers. - Make sure that there is water in the tank, before connecting the coffee maker. • Do not touch the appliance with wet hands when in operation. - Do not use the appliance on wet surfaces or outdoors. - The appliance must be connected to a power socket with a suitable ground connection. - Do not release the filter holder while coffee is coming out. - Steam and water may sometimes emerge from the coffee outlet. This is not a sign of a fault or malfunction. - This espresso coffee maker is a high pressure model (up to 19 bar) and has a built-in electric
- Before using the coffee machine for the first time, we recommend allowing the equivalent of 8-10 cups of water to run through the filter holder (with no coffee in the filter). This completely cleans the entire system. - Getting the right espresso for every user’s taste is a result of the type of coffee, the dose and the pressing: - We recommend you choose your preferred coffee blend, one with a fine grind especially for espresso. - The result will vary considerably according to the quantity of coffee used. If you want a strong coffee, you can exceed the dispenser spoon amount and fill the filter holder to the top. - Finally, we recommend that you press the coffee to extract all the coffee essences and improve the cream. - Coffee should always come out of the filter holder in a regular stream, without dripping. If not, both the quantity of coffee and the pressing should be reduced or the coffee grind adjusted. - We recommend that you make the coffee as soon as the indicator light turns blue to ensure a higher temperature.
- Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE BEFORE USE:
- Make sure that all the product’s packaging has been removed. - Before connecting the machine, check that the buttons (F, G) are not pressed, and steam control (Q) is closed - Before using this product for the first time, it is advisable to test it only with water.
- Before using the product for the first time, clean the parts that will come into contact with food in the manner described in the cleaning section. Priming the circuit: This simple operation ensures optimum dispensing and must be carried out: - When first starting: - When the machine has been out of use for a long time (1 or 2 weeks) - After making steam - When the tank has run out of water. - Fill the receptacle taking care to observe the MAX level - Connect the appliance to the mains. - Press the on/off switch (F) to ON position. The (D) pilot light will come on - You do not have to wait for the machine to heat up for this operation - Without fitting the filter holder (or with the filter holder fitted, but without coffee), place a recipient under the steam pipe (I) - Open the steam knob (Q) by turning counterclockwise. - Press the coffee switch / water (G) to on position - Water will exit through the steam pipe. Wait until approximately one cupful has exited - To finish serving, back coffee / water switch to OFF position and close the steam knob (Q) by turning clockwise This will complete the priming operation.
- The deposit must be filled with water before turning the appliance on. - Remove the water tank. - Open the cover. - Fill the deposit taking care to observe the MAX level (Fig. 1) - Close the lid. - Replace the tank in its housing, ensuring that it is well fitted.
- We recommend using natural toast coffee, as using roasted coffee may affect the operation of the machine.
- Fill the removable filter with ground coffee (6-7 g per cup to be prepared). - If you wish to make 1 coffee, fill the ladle (1 spoonful) and take the capacity of the measuring spoon measure for one coffee until half its capacity. - For 2 coffees, put in 2 spoonfuls. - Next lightly press down the ground coffee with the back of the spoon. - Before fitting the filter holder in the coffeemaker assembly, turn the ladle-holder backwards. - Fit the filter holder in the appliance once more. - Position the filter holder in the coffee assembly by inserting the assembly downwards and turning it from left to right until it locks. - Insert the filter holder with coffee into the appliance - Turn it anticlockwise until it is in the locked position. - Turn the appliance on using the on/off switch (F) - The (D) pilot light comes on. - Wait until the pilot light (E) is lighting - Place one or two pre-heated cups at the filter holder outlet. - Press the coffee switch (G) to the ON position The coffee infusion will begin to exit. When you have obtained the desired quantity of espresso coffee (short or long), come back switch to OFF position - Once serving has finished, wait a few seconds and remove the cups with the coffee. - Remove the filter holder and empty the grounds from it. - Wash the filter holder with running water and dry it well. - Check that the removable filter is perfectly fitted into the filter holder. - Fit the filter holder in the appliance once more.

- Wait Until the pilot light coffee outlet (E) is also highlighted. - To that end, after 25 minutes, the unit switches to energy saving mode. - To return to normal operation you should just march off-connect button (F). - If Coffee stop half done, simply return to normal operation, switching off and ON-OFF switch (F). Once you have finished using the appliance: - Turn the appliance off, using the on/off switch to OFF. - Unplug the appliance to the mains. - Remove the water from the water tank. - Clean the appliance.
- Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
- It is advisable to clean the appliance regularly and remove any food remains. - If the appliance is not in good condition of cleanliness, its surface may degrade and inexorably affect the duration of the appliance’s useful life and could become unsafe to use. - After washing, dry all the parts before fitting them together and storing. HOW TO DEAL WITH LIME SCALE INCRUSTATIONS: - For the appliance to work correctly it should be kept free of lime scale or magnesium incrustations caused by the use of hard water. - To prevent this kind of problem, we recommend the use of water with low lime or magnesium mineralisation. - However, if it is not possible to use the kind of water recommended above, you should periodically remove the lime scale from the appliance: - Every 6 weeks if the water is “very hard”. - Every 12 weeks if the water is “hard”. - To do so, we recommend the use of the specific product Taurus Decal, which can be found in specialised shops and authorised technical services. - Homemade solutions are not recommended in the descaling of this appliance, such as the use of vinegar.
ANOMALIES AND REPAIR
- Take the appliance to an authorised technical support service if problems arise. Do not try to dismantle or repair without assistance, as this may be dangerous. - If the connection to the mains has been damaged, it must be replaced and you should proceed as you would in the case of damage. - If you detect any anomalies, refer to the following table:
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool before undertaking any cleaning task. - Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
