LAN The electrical connection or repairs to electrical parts of the machine must be carried out by a certified electrician or one of our customer service points. Local regulations - especially regarding protective measures - must be observed.
FAN Repairs to other parts of the machine must be carried
out by the manufacturer or one of his customer service points. Use only original spare parts. Accidents can arise for the user through the use of other spare parts. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage or injury resulting from such action.

&\ additional SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
“The machine may only be operated by persons over the age of 16 years, and who have read and understood these operating instructions.
= Wear your safety gear (goggles/vizor, gloves) for protection from possible injuries.
“Never aim the suction/blowing pipe at people or animals. Never blow objects in the direction of people of animals.
= Spectators must observe safety clearance of min. 5 m.
=“ Beware of swirling and flying objects. Be particularly aware of recoiling effects from brickwork or house walls. Before starting work, check the working area, and while working, beware of foreign bodies (e.g. stones).
“Do not operate the machine with wet hands or during damp weather.
= Keep your hands and feet out of the way of the rotating impeller.
“Always ensure that the connection lead runs back away from the machine. Otherwise there is a risk of stumbling, slipping or falling.
“_ Fasten the connection lead at the back ofthe machine.

1 What can | vacuum and blow?

FAN Do not use the machine to vacuum or blow any burning, explosive or smoking items such as cigarettes, matches or hot ash.
Do not vacuum or blow any liquids, in particular flammable liquids such as fuel. Do not use the
machine in the vicinity of such substances.
Operation Switching on/off
À Before using the machine, ensure that the bag has been fitted, is not damaged or worn and the zip fastener has been closed.
Instructions for using as vac/shredder
1. Move the changeover mm switch to the vac/ shredding setting.
2. Hold the machine firmly at the handle and place the belt over your shoulder. Adjust the belt so that the machine can be carried comfortably and safely.
3. Switch the machine on.
4. Move the machine slowly and evenly over the material. Do not press it into the leaves.
5. The suction power decreases when the bag is full. Switch the machine off and disconnect from the mains. Open the zip fastener and empty the bag.
6. After finishing work, move the changeover switch to the blowing setting to remove any remains from the suction/blowing pipe.
© Take up leaves in good time! - It is advisable to take up fallen leaves when the weather is dry and as soon as they have fallen. Wet leaves are à problem, together with leaves that have already begun to rot or are on big piles.
Instructions for use as blower
1. Move the changeover | switch to the blowing setting.
2. Hold the machine firmly at
the handle and place the
belt over your shoulder.
Adjust the belt so that the
machine can be carried
comfortably and safely.
Switch the machine on.
4. Move the suction/blowing pipe in generous swaying movements uniformly à few centimetres over the ground, moving from one side to the other.
Garden vac with speed control
This version has adjustable motor speed and therefore adjustable vacuuming and blowing. The speed is fully variable from 3400 rpm to 14000 rpm.
Care and maintenance
À Remove the plug from the power socket before G2-| starting any maintenance or cleaning work.
Z Keep the garden vac in à dry place out of reach of children.

® Please proceed as follows to preserve the functioning ability of your garden vac.
Cleaning the machine
Clean the machine thoroughly after you have finished work.
1. Keep the slots free of dust. Clean the slots with a small brush.
2. Clean the suction/blowing pipe with a commercially available bottle brush.
3. Open the cleaning flap A to clean the shredder turbine B.

4. Wipe the machine with a soft, clean cloth. Use mild soap suds. &N Do not clean the machine “under running water. “with a power cleaner. =" With aggressive cleaning agents containing acid,
chlorine, fuel or spirits.
Empty the bag every time after it has been used.
1. Shake the bag thoroughly.
2. Tumitinside out and brush the bag out thoroughly. 3. Wash the bag when extremely soiled or at least once a year, by hand in mild soap suds.

À For your own safety, regularly check the bag for any signs of damage. Always replace a damaged bag immediately.

+ Faulty parts must be returned to our works carriage-paid. The decision on free replacement of faulty parts will be made at our discretion.
+ _ The guarantee does not cover normal wear of the shredder turbine and bag.
+ Any guarantee work will be carried out by the manufacturer. Our express approval must be obtained before having any such work carried out by another company.
+ The guarantee only remains valid provided that original replacement parts are used.
+ All plastic parts are marked for pure grade recycling. Please contact the manufacturer for recycling machines which can no longer be used. The manufacturer will inform you of the current recycling costs.
+ We reserve the right to make technical changes in the course of technical progress.
