Read the following instructions carefully before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the product's rating label and that the plug is earthed.
• This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for use in bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels and offices.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and

understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

• Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service or similarly qualified personnel to avoid any danger.
• If the device is to be used in a bathroom, it must be unplugged from the wall socket after use, as the proximity to water could be a risk even with the device switched off.
• As additional protection, it is recommended that a Residual Current Device (RCD) having a rated operating fault current not exceeding 30 mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. We recommend you ask a qualified installer for advice.

• WARNING: do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, sinks or other containers filled with water.
• Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any other non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable or any other part is damaged. In this case, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
• Keep all packaging materials away from children. Risk of suffocation.
• This appliance must be checked frequently for signs of wear or damage. If such signs are present, or if the appliance has been used improperly, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. Do not try to repair the appliance by yourself.
• Switch off the appliance immediately in the

event of defects or malfunctions. To unplug the appliance, pull the plug, not the cord.

This symbol means "Caution, hot surface". Accessible surfaces may reach high temperatures during use. Be careful when using the appliance.
- Do not use accessories or parts that have not been provided by Cecotec.

- Do not use the appliance simultaneously with hair mousse, spray, or gel.

• Do not place the device directly on any non-heatproof surfaces while plugged in or in operation.
• If the appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately. Do not touch the water!
• Never hold the device by or near the bristles when in operation. The hair straightening brush bristles can cause burns. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Do not carry the device if still hot.

2. BEFORE USE

- This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Remove the appliance from its box. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.

- Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.

- Do not remove the product's serial number in order to keep proper traceability if technical assistance is required.

3. OPERATION

1. Check the mains voltage and connect the device to a power socket. The power indicator light will flash.
2. Turn the temperature control knob.. During the heating time, the indicator light for the selected temperature will flash. When the brush reaches the selected temperature, the indicator will remain steady.
3. Turn the knob to the off position to turn the appliance off

and unplug it from the power socket.

1. Allow the appliance to cool down before storing it.

Using the brush

1. Wash and dry your hair, and comb it completely. Then place a towel around your neck to prevent possible skin burns.
2. Divide the hair into strands of about 3 cm. Starting from the hair root, hold the section of hair with one hand while placing it between the bristles of the brush and press to ensure it is fully inserted between the heating bristles. Slowly and evenly glide the brush from root to tip (Fig. 2).

CAUTION:

• The brush should not remain in the same position on the hair for more than 5 seconds to prevent damage.
• Avoid the bristles touching the scalp.
• If the straightening effect is not satisfactory, you may repeat this step several times.

NOTE:

When using the appliance for the first few times, it may emit a slight odour. This is completely normal and will disappear with use.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning and maintenance

• Unplug the device from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
• Place the device on a heat-resistant surface until cool before storing.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device.
• Do not wrap the power cord around the device.
• Store the appliance in a dry place out of the reach of children.

Storage

• The product can be stored in a travel bag.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Please store it in a place with low humidity and dust.
• Please avoid storing the product in a place with high temperature or direct sunlight.

CAUTION:

Do not place products that have not completely cooled down in bags.

1. TROUBLESHOOTING
