3. USER GUIDE
Adjusting the bicycle
Adjusting the height and position of the saddle
- To adjust the height of the saddle, remember that the correct position is the one in which your waist is not tilted to the side when the pedal is in the lower position and the foot is perfectly inserted in the toe clips. (Fig. 13)
- For a correct use of the device and to avoid possible injuries in the knees, the horizontal adjustment of the saddle is extremely important. The correct position is the one in which, when the two pedal cranks are in the horizontal position, your front knee is right over the pedal centre. (Fig. 14)
- Use one hand to loosen the adjustment knob on the main frame and pull it outwards, while holding the centre part of the seat post with the other hand to lift it (or press it down) to adjust it to the desired position.
- Loosen the adjustment knob and move it gently up and down.
- Move the seat post so that the spring automatically readjusts (it clicks, indicating that the crank has slipped into the hole in the seat post), then tighten the crank until it is tight.
- Loosen the adjustment knob under the saddle, slide the saddle back and forth, adjust it to the desired position and turn the adjustment knob until it is tight. (Fig. 7)
- The adjustment cannot exceed the minimum insertion mark in the saddle (marked with the word STOP in the post).
Adjusting the handlebar height
- Make sure the handlebar height is approximately at the same height as the saddle, remember that this parameter will depend on the biomechanics and physiology of the user. If in this position you feel uncomfortable or your knees touch the handlebar, you should increase the height slightly. (Fig. 15)
- Use one hand to loosen the crank handle on the main frame and pull it outwards, while holding the centre part of the handlebar with the other hand to lift (or press down) to adjust it to the desired position.
- Loosen the crank and move it gently up and down.
- Move the handlebar post to allow it to readjust automatically (a click is heard, indicating
that it has slipped into the hole in the stem) and then turn the crank until it is tight. (Fig. 6)
- The adjustment cannot exceed the minimum insertion mark in the handlebar (marked with the word STOP in the post).
Adjusting the main body
There are four adjustment feet distributed under the front and rear anti-roll bars. Loosen the feet to bring it closer to the ground until there is no vibration. (Fig. 8)
Adjusting the resistance
Turn the resistance adjustment wheel clockwise to increase the resistance and counterclockwise to decrease the resistance. (Fig. 9)
Moving the bicycle
Hold the front anti-roll bar of the main frame with your feet first, grab the handlebar with both hands and press down firmly the front of the bike. After lifting the rear anti-roll bar, you can move the bike. (Fig. 10)
Information on exercising
A proper workout should consist of the following three activities:
- Warm-up: Consisting of 5 to 10 minutes of stretching and light exercise. A proper warm-up increases your body temperature, heart rate, and circulation in preparation for exercise. (Fig. 12)
- Training: exercise for 20 to 30 minutes (note: during the first weeks of exercise, do not keep your heart rate high for more than 20 minutes).
- Cool-down: 5 to 10 minutes of stretching exercises. This will increase the flexibility of your muscles and will help prevent injuries.
Workout routine
To maintain or improve your physical condition, exercise three times per week, with at least one day of rest between workouts. After a few months of regular exercise, you may exercise up to five times per week, if desired. For best results you must be consistent when exercising.
How to get on and off the bicycle
- To get on the bike, the first thing to do is to make sure that the bike is at a complete standstill. Stand next to the bike and pass the leg that is closer to it over the frame to sit on the saddle, then insert your feet in the toe clips in the pedals.
- To get off the bike, do the previous step in reverse order.
Use
The tension control knob allows you to alter the resistance level of the pedals. A high resistance makes it more difficult to pedal, while a low resistance makes it easier. For best
ENGLISH
results, set the tension while the bike is in use. Make sure your feet are correctly adjusted in the toe clips to prevent any undesired movement.
Emergency brake
In the event of an emergency requiring a complete braking of the bicycle, the resistance selector knob must be pushed inwards firmly until it stops and the machine completely stops.
Troubleshooting
- If no number appears on the monitor, make sure all connections are correct.
- If the problem persists, replace the batteries with new ones.
Recommendation
It is recommended to periodically lubricate the moving parts of the unit. To do so, apply some silicone spray or gel to those parts, including pedals and flywheel. Then, run the device normally for at least half a minute.
