- The repairing of your power tool must only be carried out by the
Cecotec official Technical Support Service or qualified personnel and only with original spare parts. This way you will guarantee the power tool is safe.

Specific safety indications for glue guns
- You must place the device on flammable, stable and non-heat-
conducting surfaces.
- There is a risk of fire due to high operating temperatures.
- Do not ever touch the device nozzle nor the glue stick.
- Do not allow persons or animals get in contact with hot glue. If there was any contact with skin, you must wet the affected area with cold water for several minutes. Do not peel the glue off the skin.

- The nozzle and the glue stick reach temperatures over 170° C.
- Do not use flammable solvents to clean the parts to be sticked. There is risk of fire.
- Do not stretch glue in the nozzle. The skin contact with hot glue can cause severe burns.
- When using the device in continuous mode, do not pull the trigger with excessive force. You can damage the

If there is glue backflow, you must stop work immediately. Cleaning must be done by the Cecotec official Technical Support Service or by authorised or qualified personnel.

Do not ever use the glue gun with room temperatures below 5°C or over 50°C.
- Do not use the glue gun in places with direct, strong or cold wind. The device efficiency may be affected.
Proper use
- The use of this device is exclusively for gluing wood, cardboard, packaging, leather, ceramics, glass,
carpets, gaskets, plastic, fabrics, cork and metal with hot-melt glue (be sure to check the technical data of the components to be glued beforehand). The components to be glued must be clean, without impurities and free of moisture and grease.
- We recommend to use this power tool with original accessories from Cecotec.
Misuse
- This device is not appropriate to glue heat-sensitive materials, like soft PVC, polystyrene and other spongy materials. It is neither appropriate to glue large surfaces.

Specific safety indications for rechargeable batteries and chargers
- You must only use the original rechargeable batteries provided by Cecotec. The use of other types of rechargeable batteries can cause fires or injuries.
- You must charge the batteries only with recommended or provided
chargers by Cecotec. A charger for a particular type of battery may cause a fire if used on a different battery.
- You must keep rechargeable batteries away from paperclips, coins, keys, nails, screws and any other small metal object that can link the battery contacts. A short-circuit between the rechargeable contacts can cause fires or injuries.
- Do not charge batteries from other
products different to Cecotec. The charger is designed to charge the rechargeable batteries provided by Cecotec with their technical specifications. An improper use can cause a fire or explosion.
- An improper use of the rechargeable battery can cause a liquid spill. If this takes place, avoid contact with it. In case of accidental contact, rinse the affected part with water.
- If the liquid comes into contact with your eyes, seek medical assistance immediately.
- Spilled liquid can cause skin irritation or burns.
- If the battery is damaged or misused it can release toxic fumes. Air the room by letting fresh air enter and seek medical assistance in case of discomfort.
- Fumes can produce irritation to the
breathing system.
- Be careful electrical connections do not come into touch with moisture. Do not immerse in water or other liquids when cleaning it or when it is working as it may produce a short-circuit. Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
- Carry out the instructions for cleaning and maintenance.
- Do not open the rechargeable
battery. You can produce a short-circuit.

- Do not hit the battery. It cannot be hit.
- The charger is only suitable for indoor use. Do not use it outdoors.
- Keep the charger clean. Dust can cause electric shock.
- You must not leave the charger
operating on easily flammable surfaces (paper, textile products, etc) nor flammable atmospheres.
- The charger can reach high temperatures while charging, there is a risk of fire.
- You must use the charger only to charge the battery. It cannot be used as power for the power tool.
Device description
- The device is a glue gun with rechargeable battery for repairing and DIY jobs.
- It is suitable for gluing e.g. wood, plastic, fabrics, cardboard, paper, ceramics, leather, cork, glass and metal.
- It is recommended to carry out jobs in approximately 30 minutes. When pausing during use, the glue gun can
be placed in the charger.
- The battery level is shown with an indicator.
- The status LED notifies by changing colour when it has reached the work temperature. Preheating time is approximately 60 seconds. Time may vary.
- The device has an auto shut-down after 10 minutes of inactivity.
- The product is exclusive for household
use, it cannot be used for industrial or commercial purposes.

2. BEFORE USE
- Take the product out of the box.
- Remove all packaging material. Save the original box.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If any visible signs of damage are observed, contact the Cecotec official Technical Support Service immediately.
- Do not leave the packaging unattended. It could be dangerous for children. Dispose the packaging according to national legislation.

Warning due to electrical voltage
Electric shock due to inadequate or insufficient insulation. Check, before using it, that the device and its accessories are not damaged and work properly. If you detect any damage do not turn it on. Do not use the device if this or your hands are wet!
3. OPERATION
Charge the battery.

Warning
During the charging process the handle may heat up, it is normal.
Note
If the battery charges improperly, it could get damaged. Do not ever
charge the battery in a room temperature below 10° C or over 40° C.
- The battery is supplied half-charged to prevent damage due to total discharge.
- The battery can be charged before using the device for the first time and whenever the battery level is low. The red light in the battery indicator informs of a low battery level.
Battery charging:
- Place the device in the charger (7). Fig.2
- Connect the plug (7) in a well protected power socket (socket base). Fig.3
The charging indicator (3) will light up in red.
A full charge takes approximately 3 hours. This value can change due to different factors.
- When the battery charging indicator turns green, the charge will be complete. Fig.4

- Unplug the charging plug (7) from the power socket (socket base).
- Unplug the glue gun from the charger.
- The device and the charger can heat up during charge.
Testing the battery charging status
The battery status is shown in the battery indicator.
- Green LED light: fully charged.
- Red LED light: empty battery. Charge the battery.
Placing the glue stick
You must introduce the glue stick into the stick input (9).
Using the glue gun
- First, you must degrease the metal surface before gluing. Remove any remains like oil, synthetic lubricant, etc.
- Moist can cause glued surfaces to separate.
-
If glue comes into contact with skin, apply cold water for some minutes on the affected area.
-
If you need to glue a highly heat-sensitive material, try it first with a test piece.
- In textile products it is not possible to remove the glue completely. It is also not possible to remove it by washing at high temperature.
- If necessary, use special glues for different materials to the ones specified in this manual.
- Do not try to glue highly flammable or combustible materials.
- Do not work on a highly flammable or combustible base.
Gluing
- To glue flexible materials, like textile products, apply glue in a zig zag pattern.
- Quickly cooling materials should be pre-treated with a hot air gun, so that the glue will adhere better.
-
Tighten and press the pieces after gluing them with your hands. It is not necessary to use a clamping device.
-
You can glue in dots or in a lineal pattern.
- To remove glue remains once it has cooled doen, you can use a sharp blade. Use extreme caution to avoid possible cuts.
- It is recommended to sand flat surfaces before gluing them.
- If you want to unglue glued areas, just heat them up.
- The glue remains can be removed once they have cooled down.
- Glued areas can be painted.
Plugging and unplugging the device
It is highly recommended to use personal protective equipment during the use of the glue gun. Hold down the on/off switch (2) until the status LED (1) turns red. Fig.5
- Glue will start to heat up.
- When the glue gun has reached the optimum work temperature, the status LED will turn green.

Now the device is ready for use.
-
To turn it off, you must hold down the on/off switch (2) until
the status LED (1) is off. Fig.6
Auto off
- The auto off starts after approximately 10 minutes of inactivity.
- It is recommended not to turn on the device until it is used.
- Turn the device on again by holding down the on/off switch (2) and check the status LED as well as the charging indicator, in case you will need to charge or heat up the device again.

The nozzle can be hot after its use. The glue that comes out of the nozzle can also be hot. You may get burnt.
- Do not ever touch the nozzle directly with your hand!

The surfaces to be glued must be completely clean, dry and free from grease, oil, moist, etc.

- When placing a new glue stick the device will require more time to heat up than when you use it for the first time. This is because the stick input can be blocked with hardened glue remains.
The status LED will turn green.
- The device should be allowed to warm up. Introduce in the stick input (9) the proper glue stick for the material used on
the back. Press the trigger (5) to adjust the adequate glue flow. Fig.7
- You can apply glue in dots or in a lineal pattern.
- You must immediately press the two pieces to be glued for approximately 30 seconds. You can use your fingers with extreme caution so you do not get burnt. It is advisable to use protective gloves.
- After approximately 5 minutes, the glued area will be resistant.
- You can place the device in the charger when you pause.
Unplugging the appliance.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Maintenance:
- You must store lithium ion batteries completely discharged. You may cause a total discharge and, as a result, it may break.
- While the device is not being used, you must store it following these instructions:
- The room temperature must be lower than 40° C.
- It must be dry, moisture-free and protected from cold and heat.
- You must store it in a place protected from dust and direct sunlight.

Liquids entering the casing can cause short-circuits! Do not immerse the device into water or any other liquid. Make sure any type of liquid does not enter the casing.
- To clean the external parts of the device, use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth, it may be slightly moistened. Make sure moist does not enter the casing or come into contact with any electric component.
- Do not use detergents, aggressive cleaning agents or solvents, like cleaning sprays, paint thinners, detergents containing
alcohol or abrasive cleaners to moisten the cloth.
- To dry the device, use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. And completely dry.
- Clean the device connection contacts carefully, as well as the charger contacts.
Transport and storage

- You must transport and store the device properly, following the instructions in this manual, so you do not harm it.
Transport
- Follow at all times the following transport instructions:
- First, unplug the device.
- Remove the power cord from the power socket (socket base) by grabbing the plug, not the cord.

Switch off the device and allow it to cool down completely.
-
To transport lithium ion batteries you must take into account the provisions of the transport of dangerous goods.
- You must take into account the following instructions to transport lithium ion batteries.
- The user can transport batteries by road without further requirements.
- To ship them through third parties (e.g. air transport or forwarding) you must take into account the requirements you must meet regarding packaging and signaling. The packaging must be made by an expert in dangerous goods.
- Before shipping the rechargeable battery, make sure the casing is in perfect conditions.
- You must also take into account additional national dispositions regarding shipping.
Storage
- First, unplug the device.
- Remove the power cord from the power socket (socket base) by grabbing the plug, not the cord.
- Switch off the device and allow it to cool down completely.
- Clean the device as explained in the "Cleaning" section.
5. TROUBLESHOOTING
- Only the Cecotec official Technical Support Service or specialized or authorised by Cecotec companies can carry out maintenance jobs and repairs that involve opening the casing.
- Cecotec has checked the correct operation of the device. Yet, if there is an issue, check as it follows:
The first time you start the machine there is smoke and a slight smell:
ENGLISH
It is not a fault. Shortly after we start the machine, both the smoke and the smell will disappear.
The battery does not charge:
- You must check both the charger connection with the device and the mains.
- You must check there is electric power in the socket base.
- You must check both the cord and the power plug are not damaged.
- You must check the power supply (fuses, thermal-magnetic circuit breakers, RCDs, etc).
- You must check the charger is not damaged. If you notice any damage, stop using it. Contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
- You must check there is no dirt in the charger connections. Clean the dirt.
- The battery may be defective or suffer any damage. Contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
The device does not work:
- The battery level may be too low. Charge the battery.
- The charging connectors and the charging socket may be dirty. Clean them by removing the dirt remains.
- The charger is not correctly connected. Check the connections.

Information
Wait for at least 10 minutes before you restart the device.
The glue stick falls from the device:
You must check the glue stick diameter is appropriate.
The glue stick does not move:
- Check the stick has enough glue. Place a new glue stick. Use only appropriate glue sticks, following the technical details.
- You must check the glue stick diameter is appropriate.
The glue does not dose evenly:
Make sure the device has reached its optimum melting temperature before using it. Allow the device to completely heat up. Press the trigger slowly and evenly.
There is liquid leaking from the stick input:
It may occur that the glue stick diameter is too small or the melting temperature is too low.
The glue detaches after cooling down:
- There are dust, dirt or grease remains on the surface. Clean and/or carefully sand the surfaces to be glued.
- The material to be glued is not suitable for hot melt glue. Use special glue sticks.
Only one side is glued:
Check the glue has not cooled down before pressing the pieces. Press the pieces to be glued immediately. You can heat the materials that cool down quickly with a hot air gun. You can apply glue in dots.
There are glue remains in the shape of "threads".
You must not hold the trigger down after gluing. You must release the trigger in due time. Scrape the nozzle when you lift the piece.
The glued soles detach:
Moisture makes leather swell. Use special glue sticks.
Glue comes into contact with your fingers:
- Glue may go through materials, like paper or certain fabrics. You must use protective gloves to avoid possible burns when operating the glue gun. It is also advisable to use a heat-resistant base, e.g. made of silicone.
- If the piece to be glued is made of steel it may heat up. It is advisable to use protective gloves to avoid possible injuries.
ENGLISH
The piece to be glued melts down:
The piece to be glued may be made of a heat-sensitive material, e.g. polystyrene. These materials are not suitable for hot melt glue. Use special glue sticks.
Note
After every maintenance and repairing work, wait for at least 3 minutes to restart the device.
If the device is not working properly, contact the Cecotec official Customer Service.

7. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU and 2006/66/CE on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimise the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you
of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly.
Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.
The glue gun, accessories, packaging, glue sticks and glue remains must be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
8. TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WARRANTY
This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.
The warranty will not cover the following situations:
- The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture,

immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
- The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the Cecotec official Technical Support Service.
- Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.
The warranty service covers every manufacturing defect of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
