Specific safety indications for electric screwdrivers
- Only the Cecotec official Technical Support Service or specialized or authorised technicians can carry out maintenance jobs and repairs that involve opening the casing.
- Do not use the device if you feel abnormal vibrations during use.
- Hold the device firmly to decrease the vibration level.
- If the vibration and/or noise level is excessively high, contact the Cecotec Technical Support Service.
- Do not use the device if you feel abnormal noises during use.
- Do not force the electric tool. Use the electric tool properly for every type of use. The proper electric tool will make your work better and safer using the speed for which it was designed.
- Use only accessories with an rpm rating at least equal to the maximum no-load rpm rating of the tool.
- Never cover the device with fabrics or other materials to
reduce the noise level. If you do so, the appliance will not ventilate properly. The heat generated by the appliance can create a risk of fire and body injuries.
- When the use of the tool produces harmful, flammable or explosive dust, take all necessary precautions. Dust can be carcinogenic. Use a dust mask and remove dust and shavings after use.
- Set the direction selector switch to the centre position (tool locked) before handling, storing or adjusting the tool or before replacing an accessory.

Specific safety indications for rechargeable batteries and chargers
- You must only use the original rechargeable batteries provided by Cecotec. The use of other types of rechargeable batteries can cause fires or injuries.
- You must charge the batteries only with recommended or provided chargers/cords by Cecotec. A charger/cord for a particular type of battery may cause a fire if used on a different battery.
- You must keep rechargeable batteries away from paperclips, coins, keys, nails, screws and any other small metal object that can link the battery contacts. A short circuit between contacts can cause fires or injuries.
- Do not charge batteries from other products different to Cecotec. The charger/cord is designed to charge the rechargeable batteries provided by Cecotec with their technical specifications. An improper use can cause a fire or explosion.
- An improper use of the rechargeable battery can cause a liquid spill. If this takes place, avoid contact with it. In case of accidental contact, rinse the affected part with water.

Spilled liquid can cause skin irritation or burns.

If liquid comes into contact with your eyes, seek medical assistance immediately.
- If the battery is damaged or misused it can release toxic fumes. Air the room by letting fresh air enter and seek medical assistance in case of discomfort.
- Fumes can produce irritation to the breathing system.
- Be careful electrical connections do not come into touch with moisture. Do not immerse in water or other liquids when cleaning it or when it is working as it may produce a short circuit.
- Carry out the instructions for cleaning and maintenance.
- Do not open the rechargeable battery. You can produce a short circuit.
- Do not short contact the rechargeable battery. You may produce an explosion.
- Do not hit the battery. It cannot be hit.
- Keep the USB cord clean. Dirt can cause electric shock.
- You must use the USB cord only to charge the battery. It cannot be used as power for the power tool.

2. BEFORE USE
- Take the product out of the box.
- Remove all packaging material. Save the original box.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If any visible signs of damage are observed, contact the Cecotec official Technical Support Service immediately.
- Do not leave the packaging unattended. It could be dangerous for children. Dispose the packaging according to national legislation.

Electric shock due to inadequate or insufficient insulation. Check, before using it, that the device and its accessories are not damaged and work properly. If you detect any damage do not turn it on. Do not use the device if this or your hands are wet!
3. OPERATION
3.1 Battery charging

Warning
During the charging process the handle may heat up, it is normal.
Note
If the battery charges improperly, it could get damaged. Do not ever charge the battery in a room temperature below 10° C or over 40° C.
- The battery is supplied half-charged to prevent damage due to total discharge.
- The battery must be fully charged before using the device for the first time and whenever the battery level is low. The red light in the battery indicator informs of a low battery level.
- Do not use the appliance while the battery is charging.
- A new battery will develop its full ampere-hour capacity after 5 complete charge/discharge cycles.
Battery charging:
- Insert the plug of the micro USB - USB cord into the charging socket (11). Connect the other end of the micro USB - USB cable (13) to a USB power adapter - the LED indicators (3) will turn on.
- After charging (approx. 80 minutes), when all LEDs (3) are lit, unplug the micro USB - USB cord from the electric power supply and from the battery charging socket (11).
3.2 Setting the working direction
Use the direction selector (6) to set the rotation direction clockwise or counterclockwise, or place it in the centre to lock the tool.
Note
Do not change the direction (6) while the shaft is turning.
3.3 Bits assembling / substitution
- The screwdriver comes with a bit holder (1). Place the direction selector (6) in the centre (locked tool). Pull the clamping sleeve of the bit holder (1), overcoming the resistance of the spring.
- Place a bit in the bit holder. Check the bit assembling.
- To remove the bit, pull the clamping sleeve (1), overcoming the resistance of the spring and remove the bit from the bit holder (1).
Note
Do not substitute bits without placing the direction knob (6) in the centre position (blocked).

3.4 Plugging and unplugging the device
It is recommended to use personal protective equipment during the screwdriver use.
- To turn on the tool:
- Charge the battery.
- Assemble the bit.
- Press the on/off button (5).
- To turn off the tool, release the on/off button (5).

- Unplug the appliance.
- Unplug the USB cord by pulling the connector, not the cord.

You must leave the device to cool down (if necessary).

Clean the device. Read the "Cleaning and Maintenance" section.
- You must store the device following the "Storage" section.
3.5 Torque setting
- When turning the torque knob (2) to the selected position, the gear ratio (torque) is adjusted.
- The recommended torque depends on the type of bit and material used. The higher the setting number, the higher the torque.
– Turn the torque adjustment knob (2) to the selected value. - Start with a lower torque value.
- The device can be used as a soft drilling machine in wood or MDF boards if the torque knob (2) is set to this symbol.

3.6 Setting the twist grip
To set the twist grip (7):
- Turn the direction selector (6) to the centre position (blocked).
- Press the twist grip lock (4).
- Turn the twist grip to the desired position until it is blocked.

The screwdriver has a battery level indicator (3). The other 3 LEDs, with different colors, indicate the battery charge level. To check the level:
– Turn the direction selector (6) clockwise or counterclockwise.
- Press the on/off button. The LEDs will turn on, indicating the charge level.
– Fully charged battery: three lights on.
– Low battery: two lights on.
– Discharge battery: one light on.
3.8 LED worklight
When pressing the on/off button (5), the LED front worklight (8) will turn on.
3.9 Turning on the flashlight
To turn on and off the flashlight, press the on/off button placed in the central part of the LED diodes protector.
Note
To save energy, check the flashlight is off after working with it.
3.10 Recommendations for use
- Always choose the proper bit for the screw you are using. To avoid damaging the screw, use the largest possible bit size to fit the screw head.
- When screwing, press the switch (6) that turns the bit holder clockwise.
- When unscrewing, press the switch (6) that turns the bit holder counterclockwise.
- The screwdriver has a flashlight (9). If the workplace lighting is low, turn on the flashlight to better light up the workplace.
- Drill bits are not included in the kit. Use only hexagonal drill bits.
- The drilling function is only suitable to soft drill in wood and MDF boards.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Maintenance.
- You must store lithium ion batteries completely discharged. You may cause a total discharge and, as a result, it may break.
- While the device is not being used, you must store it following these instructions:
- The room temperature must be lower than 40° C.
- It must be dry, moisture-free and protected from cold and heat.
- You must store it in a place protected from dust and direct sunlight.

Inside the device there are not any pieces the user must maintain or lubricate.
Cleaning
It is necessary to clean the device before and after using it.
Note
It is not necessary to lubricate it after the clean-up.

Liquids entering the casing may cause short circuits! Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid. Make sure any type of liquid does not enter the casing.
- To clean the external parts of the device, use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth, it may be slightly moistened. Make sure moisture does not enter the casing or come into contact with any electric component.
- Do not use detergents, aggressive cleaning agents or solvents, like cleaning sprays, paint thinners, detergents containing alcohol or abrasive cleaners to moisten the cloth.
- To dry the device, use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. And completely dry.
- Carefully clean the connection contacts.
- Protective devices, ventilation openings and the motor casing must always be kept free of dust and other contamination.
5. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

Warning
You must transport and store the device properly, following the instructions in this manual.
Transport
Follow at all times the following transport instructions:
- First, unplug the device.
- Unplug the USB cord by pulling the connector, not the cord.
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
- To transport lithium ion batteries you must take into account the provisions for the transport of dangerous goods.

The user can transport batteries by road without further requirements.
- To ship them through third parties (e.g. air transport or forwarding) you must take into account the requirements you must meet regarding packaging and signaling. The packaging must be made by an expert in dangerous goods.
- Before shipping the rechargeable battery, make sure the casing is in perfect conditions.
- You must also take into account additional national dispositions regarding shipping.
Storage
- First, unplug the device.
- Unplug the USB cord by pulling the connector, not the cord.
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
- Clean the device as explained in the "Cleaning" section.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
- Only the Cecotec official Technical Support Service or a specialised company authorised by Cecotec can carry out maintenance jobs and repairs that involve handling or opening the casing.
- Cecotec has checked the correct operation of the device. Yet, if there is an issue, check as it follows:
The first time you start the machine there is smoke and a slight smell:
It is not a fault. Shortly after we start the machine, both the smoke and the smell will disappear.
The battery does not charge:
- You must check the USB cord connection.
- You must check there is electric power in the socket base.
- You must check both the cord and the power plug are not damaged.
- You must check the power supply (fuses, thermal-magnetic circuit breakers, RCDs, etc.).
- You must check the USB cord is not damaged. If you notice any damage, stop using it. Contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
- You must check there is no dirt in the USB cord connections. If there is, clean the dirt.
- The battery may be defective or suffer any damage. Contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
The device does not work:
- The battery level may be too low. Charge the battery.
- The USB cord connectors can be dirty. Clean them by removing the dirt remains.
- The USB cord is not connected. Check the connections.

Information
Wait for at least 10 minutes before you restart the device.

Torque value exceeded (protection against tool overload or damage to the bolt/bolt head). Screw and unscrew the bolt/bolt head with a manual screwdriver.

8. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU and 2006/66/CE on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimise the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of
your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly.
Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.
The screwdriver, accessories, packaging and waste generated during the working process must be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
9. TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WARRANTY
This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.
The warranty will not cover the following situations:
- The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
- If the product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons not authorised by the Cecotec official Technical Support Service.
- Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.
The warranty service covers every manufacturing defect of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
