Heating time
Coffee machines used with non-insulated containers (e.g. glass jugs) must be switched off within 40 minutes of completing the brewing process in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 801/2013.
Your Cloer filter coffee machine therefore has an operating time (coffee brewing + heating time) of 40 minutes in total, i.e. the heating plate stays on for approx. 30-35 minutes after brewing, depending on the amount of coffee used. When the heating cycle is over, the on/off switch indicator light turns off.

- The coffee is done when it has completely run through and then is kept warm on the "Keep Warm" plate.
- Always switch the ON/OFF button to the OFF position when the „Keep Warm“ time is over.
- By pushing the ON/OFF button you can shut off the coffee maker manually before the end of 40 minutes keep warm function.
Information
The filter lid fits on the filter insert as well as on the glass carafe. After finishing the brewing process you can place the filter lid on the glass carafe.
Decalcification
It is advisable to decalcify to the coffee machine when using calcareous water (depending on the degree of hardness of the water, between 3-4 weeks). A regular decalcification will assure constant quality, low electrical consumption and a longer life of the machine. Use for this a normal liquid descaler and read the safety instructions.
For the decalcification with citric acid or vinegar, take into consideration:
- Fill the coffee maker with 3 cups of water and approx. 75ml citric acid or vinegar and turn the appliance on.
• After the decalcification, operate the appliance with clear water twice in order to rinse the appliance.
