These operating instructions are a component of the Manicure-Pedicure Set SMP 6200 A1 (henceforth designated as the appliance) and they supply you with important information about the intended use and the safety as well as the opera- fion of the appliance.
The operating instructions must be constanily kept available close to the appliance. They are to be read and applied by every person charged with the operation of the appliance.
Retain these operating instructions and pass them on, together with the appliance, to a possible future owner.

This appliance complies with the statutory safety regulations. Incorrect usage can, however, lead to personal injury and property damage.

For safe handling of the appliance observe the following safety information:

M Before use check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not put into operation an appliance that is damaged or has been dropped..
M This appliance is not intended for use by individuals [including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abiliies or deficiences in expe- rience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used
M Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the ap- pliance

M Repairs should only be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by GB the Customer Service Department. Incorrect repairs can result in significant IE
risks for the user. In addition, warranty claims become void. CY M Extended use may cause the development of a strong heat on the skin. Therefore, take breaks frequenily. Otherwise, there is risk of burns!
M Do not use the appliance while taking a bath or shower. M Never touch the appliance with wet or moist hands.
M To avoidrisks, arrange for defecive power plugs and/or cables to be replaced at once by qualified technicians or our Customer Service Department.
ATTENTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE M Defective components may only be replaced with original replacement parts. Only by using original replacement parts can you guarantee that you comply with the safety requirements.
M Protect the appliance against moisture and the penetration of liquids.
M Protect the appliance against shock, moisture, dust, chemicals, extremes of temperature and from being too close to sources of heat [ovens, radiators).
M Never use the appliance under blankets, pillows etc.
The appliance may not be used for longer than 15 minutes at a time, otherwise the motor could overheat. After 15 minutes of use, take a break of at least Là 30 minutes.
M Do not store the appliance where it could fall into a bath tub or wash basin. M NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids!
M Always pull the plug from the mains power socket; never pull on the cable. M Ensure that the drive can always rotate freely. Otherwise, the appliancw may overheat and be damaged beyond repair.
> A repair to the appliance during the warranty period may only be carried out by a customer service firm authorised by the manufacturer, otherwise no additional warranty claims can be considered for subsequent damages.

materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.

longer needed according to the regionally established regulations.

M Sapphire cone Q: For removing dry skin, hardened skin or callouses on the soles and heels, and to process he nails.
Guide the sapphire cone @ with a circular motion and under gentle pressure over the parts of the sole and heel to be treated. Do not exert too strong a pressure and always make contact carefully with the appliance on the surface to be treated. After every treatment apply a moisturising cream.
M Felt cone For smoothing and polishing nail edges after fling, as well as cleaning the nail surface.
Use the felt cone @ to polish and smooth the edge of the naïl and to clean the nail surface after milling. Always polish in a circular motion and never let the felt cone @ rest in one place
M Sapphire disc @: For fling and processing the nails. Process the edge of the nails with the sapphire disc @. As only ihe inner disc rotates and the outer edge does not move, you can file your nails accurately without damaging your skin with the rapidly rotating disk. Always work from the outside of the nail to the tip.
M Cylindrical miller Q: For milling thickly growing toe nails and rough smoothing of the surfaces. With the cylinder miller ® you can mill away thickly growing nail surfaces. Always hold the cylinder miller @ parallel to the nail surface and, with light pressure and circular movements, remove the excess growth.
M Flame miller ® To release ingrown nails With the flame miller @ you can release ingrown nails. Guide the flame miller ® carefully onto the treatment area and cut away the affected nail part.
M Round sapphire miller @: For the removal of corns.

GB À WARNING - RISK OF INJURY IE At too high speeds and with a too heavy pressure, the sapphire CY
miller can quickly penetrate into deeper, healthy skin layers. This can cause injury and damage to the periosteum!
> Always take care and a cautious approach when removing corns. lfin doubi, consult a pedicurist, podolgist or a dermatologist.
To remove coms, mil very carelully and slowly at low speed with the round sapphire cutter @.
Under no circumstance should you use undue pressure, otherwise you could rapidly penetrate healthy skin and injure it.
Working with the appliance
À WARNING - RISK OF INJURY Too long and too intensive treatment can also injure deeper layers of skin.
> Therefore regularly check the treatment progress and results. Diabetics in particular are less sensitive on the hands and feet. PS
> The attachments show only a reduced effect with sofiened skin. Therefore do not carry out any pretreatment in a Water bath before using the appliance.
Find a welHit place to work. À mains power outlet must be positioned in close proximity.
Insert the appropriate attachment for your purpose in the attachment accep- tor @. The attachment must sit securely.
3] Insert the power adapter @ into a mains power outlet.
Slide the on/off/direction switch @ into the desired direction. The appliance runs with the lowest speed.
> Always select the direction of run so that you can treat the naïls in their di- rection of growth. Where possible, treat the nails from the outside towards the inside (to the nail tip). Otherwise, the naïls split more easily.
> IF you feel that the naïls could tear during treatment, select the other direc- tion of run.
5) Always start the treatment at low speed and increase it only when needed. When you wish to increase the speed, press the "Speed increase" @ button. When you wish to decrease the speed, press the "Speed decrease" @ button.

While you are working, never let the aïtachments rest on one point.
Due to friction this leads to increased heat generation and may cause injury.
> Always work in a circular motion.

If you use the appliance for more than 15 minutes at a time, the motor may

Risk of electrical shocks! > Always remove the power adapter @ from the mains power socket before you clean the appliance.
ATTENTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE Do not use chemical, aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. These damage the upper surfaces.
M Clean the hand element @ and the power adapter @ with a moist cloth. For stubborn stains use a mild detergent on the cloth. Ensure that no water or moisture can penetrate the appliance. Dry everythng well.
M For hygienic reasons, we recommend cleaning the attachments with a clean Cloth or brush moistened with alcohol after each use. Dry everythng well.
M After you have cleaned the appliance, put it back in the storage bag. 2
M Siore the appliance at a dry and clean location.
Disposing of the appliance Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of the European Directive 2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your com- nunity waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.
Warranty and Service
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our service department. Only in this way can a postfree despatch for your goods be assuredl
The warranty covers only claims for material and maufacturing defects, but not for transport damage, wearing parts or for damage to fragile components, e.g buttons or batteries. This product is for private use only and is not intended for commercial use.
The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried out by our authorized service branch. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty.
The warranty period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty. This ap- plies also to replaced and repaired parts. Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking, resp. no later than fwo days after the date of purchase. Repairs made after the lapse of the warranty period are subject to charge.
