If the Pitchblack X mini turns on but does not respond to input signals, first check the following points:

Make sure the tuner is activated by pressing the TUNER ON/OFF button. The device should display LED activity when the function is active.
Check that your instrument is properly connected to the INPUT jack (6.35 mm mono jack) and that the cable is not damaged.
Increase the output level of your instrument or bring the microphone closer to the body of the instrument if you are using it in mic mode.
Ensure that the reference pitch has not been accidentally changed via the CALIB button. The normal range for A4 is between 436 and 445 Hz.
The detection range of the Pitchblack X mini goes from E0 (20.60 Hz) to C8 (4,186 Hz). If your signal is outside this range, it will not be detected.
Test with a different instrument to confirm that the problem lies with the tuner and not the instrument.

If after these checks the tuner still does not work, the problem may be hardware-related.
