Frequently Asked Questions - VP 4101 S ECG

How to change the bag of the ECG VP 4101 S vacuum cleaner?
To change the bag, turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner. Open the bag compartment (usually at the front or back). Remove the full bag by lifting the cardboard support. Insert a new bag type ECG S-100 by pushing the collar well. Close the lid.
How to clean the HEPA filter?
The HEPA filter is cleaned with clean water. Remove it from the appliance, rinse it under warm water without detergent. Let it dry completely in the open air (24 h) before reinstalling. Do not use abrasive tools. Replace the filter every 6 months.
The power cord does not retract automatically, what to do?
Check that the cord is not tangled or twisted. If the mechanism is stuck, gently pull the cord and guide it manually to rewind. Avoid forcing. If the problem persists, consult an after-sales service.
The vacuum cleaner loses suction, what are the possible causes?
Common causes are: full bag to change, clogged filter to clean or replace, blocked hose (check for obstructions), or air leak (worn seals). Inspect each element.
Can generic bags or other brands be used?
It is recommended to use original ECG S-100 bags to ensure performance and filtration. Generic bags may not fit properly, reducing suction and potentially damaging the motor.
How to maintain the main brush?
Clean the brush regularly by removing accumulated hair and fibers. Use scissors or a cleaning tool. Check that the side brushes (if any) rotate freely. Replace the brush if bristles are worn.
The vacuum cleaner makes an abnormal noise, what to check?
An abnormal noise may come from a blocked object in the hose or brush, a worn motor bearing, or a loose belt. Empty and inspect the ducts. If the noise persists, contact an authorized repairer.
Is the HEPA filter washable or disposable?
The HEPA filter of the ECG VP 4101 S is washable with water. It can be washed several times. However, it should be replaced every 6 to 12 months depending on use. Never wash a disposable HEPA filter; check the symbol on the filter.
Where can I buy spare parts (bags, filters, etc.)?
Spare parts are available online at ecg-electronics.com or from authorized dealers. You can also contact ECG customer service. Use exact references: bag S-100, filter HREF-001, belt B-200.
How to properly store the vacuum cleaner after use?
Store the vacuum cleaner in a dry place. Wind the cord around the provided hooks. Place the nozzle in its holder. Clean the tank (bag) and filter regularly. Avoid storing the appliance near a heat source.
