Frequently Asked Questions - VT-1833 Vitek

How do I assemble the Vitek VT-1833 vacuum cleaner?
Insert the flexible hose into the air inlet until it snaps. Attach the telescopic extension tube to the hose handle, then choose the desired attachment (carpet/floor brush, crevice tool, etc.) and connect it to the tube. Fill the dust-collecting bin with 600 ml of water up to the MAX mark before use.
Can I use the vacuum cleaner to pick up liquids?
No, the Vitek VT-1833 is designed for dry cleaning only. Never use it to pick up water or other liquids, as it may damage the unit and cause electrical hazards.
How often should I clean the filters?
Clean the HEPA filter, sponge filters, and the filter holder at least six times a year. More frequent cleaning is needed if they become very dirty. Wash them under warm tap water and dry thoroughly before reinstalling.
Why is suction power reduced?
Reduced suction can be due to dirty water in the bin, clogged filters, or blockages in the hose or tube. First, empty and refill the bin with clean water. Next, check and clean the filters. If the problem persists, inspect the hose and tube for obstructions.
How do I store the vacuum cleaner?
Always empty the water bin and clean/dry the filters before storing. Keep the vacuum cleaner in a dry, cool place out of children's reach. Use the brush parking area on the unit to store the brush during breaks.
What is the turbo brush used for?
The turbo brush is ideal for cleaning floors, rugs, and carpets with long or short pile, and it effectively removes pet hair. Do not use it on rugs with fringe or pile longer than 15 mm to avoid damage.
How do I replace the HEPA filter?
Turn off and unplug the vacuum. Remove the dust-collecting bin, open the latches, and remove the lid. Press the filter lock to remove the filter holder, then remove the HEPA filter. Wash the new filter (if reusable) or replace with a genuine Vitek part. Reassemble in reverse order.
What should I do if the vacuum cleaner overheats?
If the vacuum overheats, turn it off immediately and unplug it. Check for blockages in the hose, tube, or filters. Clean as needed. Allow the unit to cool down for at least 30 minutes before restarting.
Can I use extension cords?
It is recommended to plug the vacuum directly into a wall outlet. If an extension cord is necessary, use a heavy-duty cord rated for at least 1800W and ensure it is fully unwound to avoid overheating.
Where can I find spare parts or accessories?
Spare parts and accessories for the Vitek VT-1833 can be obtained from authorized Vitek service centers or online retailers. Ensure you use genuine parts for optimal performance and safety.
