Frequently Asked Questions - OR 1570 ECG

How do I assemble the base with wheels?
Thread the bent end of the stirrup through the opening in the base, insert between the ribs on the bottom of the radiator, push the stirrup downwards, and tighten with the wing nut. Repeat for the second base on the opposite side. Ensure the radiator is stable and upright.
Why does the radiator emit a smell or smoke when first used?
This is normal for the first use or after long storage. The heating elements burn off dust or residues. It will disappear after a short time. Ensure the room is ventilated.
How do I set the desired temperature?
Turn the thermostat control knob slowly until you hear a 'snap' when the room reaches the desired temperature. The thermostat will maintain that temperature. Fine-tune by turning slightly up or down.
What should I do if the radiator turns off automatically?
The overheat protection has activated. Unplug the radiator and let it cool for about 15 minutes. Then plug it back in. Ensure the thermostat is set correctly and that air vents are not blocked. If it persists, contact service.
Can I cover the radiator to dry clothes?
No, never cover the radiator. It can overheat and cause a fire. Keep flammable materials like curtains, towels, and clothing at least 90 cm away from the unit.
How do I clean the radiator?
Always unplug and let it cool completely. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive or sharp cleaners. Do not immerse in water.
What are the power level settings?
The main switch has four positions: 0 (off), I (500 W), II (1000 W), and III (1500 W). Combine with the thermostat for precise heating control.
Is it safe to use the radiator in a bathroom?
No, do not use near bathtubs, showers, or pools. The radiator is not waterproof and must be kept away from water to avoid electric shock. Only use in dry indoor areas.
What should I do if the power cord is damaged?
Do not use the radiator. Cord replacement and all other repairs must be done by a professional service centre. Do not remove protective covers.
How should I store the radiator when not in use?
Turn off, unplug, and allow it to cool completely. Store in a clean, dry place away from dust. Wrap the cord around the cable storage area.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Note: An odour or smoke may emit from the heat elements during the first use of the appliance or when turning on after a longer period of time. This effect is normal and will go away after a short while.

Main switch and power level settings

0 = Radiator is off

I = 500 W

II = 1000 W

II = 1500 W

Thermostat and temperature settings

When you turn the thermostat control ⑧ you can regulate the temperature.

When the ambient temperature reaches the desired temperature, slowly rotate the thermostat until you hear "snap". Be careful not to continue turning. The thermostat will follow this set temperature and will continue to maintain it.

Turning off the radiator

First, set the thermostat control ⑧ in the "MIN" position and the power level control ⑦ to "0" position. Then always unplug the power cable from the outlet.

Note: Any handling of the appliance can be performed only if it is turned off with the main power switch and unplugged from the outlet.

Protection against overheating

The internal heat fuse protects the radiator against overheating and switches off the appliance automatically. In this case, the operating lamp will switch off.

If the appliance switches itself off, unplug the power cable from the socket. After cooling down (about 15 minutes), the appliance is again ready for use. Plug the power cable back into the socket.

If the situation persists, first make sure the thermostat controller is properly configured and whether the air vents are not covered.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always unplug the power cord from the outlet before cleaning and wait for the appliance to cool completely. Clean the outer surface of the radiator with a damp cloth. Do not use sharp or abrasive agents to clean the device, otherwise the surface of the radiator can become damaged.

You can store the radiator only after turning off the main switch, unplugging the it from the outlet and after it cools completely.

RADIATOR STORAGE

If you do not plan to use the appliance for a longer period of time, it should be placed in a clean and dry location protected against dust.
