2. Intended purpose
The device can be used as an air purifier for dry indoor spaces up to approx. 15 m ^4 .
The device is designed for private home use and must not be used for commercial purposes. The device must only be used indoors.
Foreseeable misuse

FIRE HAZARD!
- Never use the device to dry textile materials or other objects on, above or in front of the device.
- The device must not be used in vehicles of any kind.
3. Safety information
Warnings
If necessary, the following warnings are used in these operating instructions:

DANGER! High risk: failure to observe this warning may result in injury to life and limb.
WARNING! Moderate risk: failure to observe this warning may result in injury or serious material damage.
CAUTION: low risk: ignoring this warning may result in minor injuries or damage to property.
NOTE: circumstances and specifics that must be observed when handling the device.
Instructions for safe operation
- This device can be used by children from the age of 8 and over if they are supervised.
- This device can be used by people with restricted physical, sensory or intellectual abilities or people without adequate experience and understanding if they are supervised or instructed on how to use this device safely and if they are aware of the resulting dangers.
- Children must not play with the device.
- Change the filter regularly.
- Do not use the device:
- in the immediate vicinity of a sink, bathtub, shower, or swimming pool, or other damp areas
- if it has been previously dropped
- if it shows visible signs of damage
- Use the device on a horizontal and stable surface.
- If the mains power cable of this device should become damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer service department or a similarly qualified specialist, in order to avoid any hazards.
- Unplug the device before cleaning or performing any other maintenance.
- There must be at least 30 cm of clear space around the device.
- Please take note of the chapter on cleaning.

DANGER for children!
- Packing materials are not children's toys. Children should not be allowed to play with the plastic bags: there is a risk of suffocation.
- Keep the device out of the reach of children.

DANGER to and from pets and livestock!
Electrical devices can represent a danger to pets and livestock. In addition, animals can also cause damage to the device. For this reason you should keep
animals away from electrical devices at all times.

DANGER! Risk of electric shock due to moisture!
- The device, the mains power cable and the mains plug must not be immersed in water or any other liquids.
- Protect the device from moisture, water drops and water splashes: failure to observe this instruction may result in an electric shock hazard.
- If liquid gets into the device, disconnect the mains plug immediately. Have the device checked before reusing.
- Never touch the device with wet hands.
- If the device has fallen into water, pull out the mains plug immediately, and only then remove the device from the water. Do not use the device again, and have it checked by a specialist workshop.

DANGER! Risk of electric shock!
- Do not use the device if the device or the mains power cable has any visible damage, or if the device has previously been dropped.
- Only connect the mains plug to a properly installed and easily accessible wall socket whose voltage corresponds to the specifications on the rating plate. The wall socket must still be easily accessible after the device is plugged in.
- Ensure that the mains power cable cannot be damaged by sharp edges or hot points.
- When using the device, ensure that the mains power cable cannot be trapped or crushed.
- Even after it has been switched off, the device is not completely disconnected from the mains power supply. In order to fully disconnect it, pull out the mains plug.
- When removing the mains plug from the wall socket, always pull on the plug and never the cable.
- Pull the mains plug out of the wall socket:
- when a malfunction occurs
- when you are not using the device
- before you clean the device
- before changing the filter
- during thunderstorms
- Never attempt to reach into the device interior by sticking your fingers or objects through the ventilation gratings.
- To avoid any risk, do not make modifications to the product.
- When using an extension cable, this must correspond to the applicable safety regulations.

FIRE HAZARD!
- There must be no flammable objects (e.g. curtains, paper, etc.) in close proximity to the device during operation.
- Never use the device to dry textile materials or other objects on, above or in front of the device.
- The device must only be set up on a solid, level, dry and non-flammable surface.
- When setting up the device, keep a minimum distance of 30 cm all around from other devices and walls.
- Never operate the device in a potentially explosive environment or close to flammable gases or liquids.
- Ensure at all times that the air can enter and exit freely. Heat can otherwise accumulate in the device.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
- Never place the device on hot surfaces (e.g. hot plates) or near to heat sources or open fire.
- Only use the original accessories.
- Do not clean using sharp objects or abrasive cleaning agents.

5. Setting up the device

FIRE HAZARD!
The device must only be set up on a solid, level, dry and non-flammable surface. For example, the device must not be placed on a deep-pile carpet.
- When setting up the device, keep a minimum distance of 30 cm all around from other devices and walls.
- There must be no flammable objects (e.g. curtains, paper, etc.) in close proximity to the device during operation.
- Select a location which complies with the safety information.
- Select a location where no persons, animals or plants are directly above the outlet opening.
- Ensure that the device is standing securely.
6. Operation
6.1 Putting the device into operation and switching it off
- Pull out as much power cable as you need from the cable compartment and plug the mains plug 7 into a wall socket that complies with the technical specifications.
- The LEDs 3 and 5 light up briefly.
- Use the button 4 to switch the device on, change the power stages and switch the device off again.
- Press 1x: switches on the device. The lowest power stage (I) is selected and the LED 5 lights up dimly.
- Press 2x: the medium power stage (II) is selected and the LED 5 lights up slightly brighter.
- Press 3x: the highest power stage ( III) is selected and the LED 5 lights up brightly. Pressing repeatedly returns the device to the lowest power stage (I).
- Press and hold the button 4 for approx. 3 seconds: the device switches off and the LED 5 goes out.
6.2 Changing the filter
If the filter LED 3 flashes and an audio signal sounds, the pollen filter 10 must be replaced.

- Remove the pre-filter 6. It is best to hold it by the recessed grip 8 on the side of the device.
- Figure A: remove the pollen filter 10 from the air purifier by pulling it out by the tab at the top and dispose of it in the household waste.
- Carefully vacuum the pre-filter 6 with a vacuum cleaner.
- Figure B: press the filter reset button 9 inside the device until the LED 3 for the filter indicator flashes briefly. This tells the device that a new pollen filter 10 has been inserted.
- Insert the new pollen filter 10 and place the pre-filter 6 back onto the device.
7. Cleaning
In order to enjoy your device for a long time, you should regularly clean it.

DANGER! Risk of electric shock!
- Disconnect the mains plug 7 before any cleaning.
- Never immerse the device in water.
- Do not let water or cleaning agent run into the device.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
- Do not clean using sharp objects or abrasive cleaning agents.
Device
- The pre-filter 6 can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner. If necessary, this filter can also be cleaned with water.
- Clean the outside of the device with a damp cloth. You can also use a little detergent.
- Wipe with a cloth moistened with clear water.
- Wipe the inside of the device with a dry cloth.
- Do not use the device until it is completely dry again.
8. Storage
- Pull out the mains plug 7 if you are not using the device for an extended period.
- Slide the mains power cable into the cable compartment.
9. Disposal
This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EC. The symbol showing a wheelie bin crossed through indicates that the product requires separate refuse collection in the European Union. This applies to the product and all accessories marked with this symbol. Products identified with this symbol may not be discarded with normal household waste, but must be taken to a collection point for recycling electric and electronic appliances.

10. Trouble-shooting
If your device fails to function as required, please try this checklist first. Perhaps there is only a minor problem, and you can solve it yourself.

12. Warranty of the HOYER Handel GmbH
Dear Customer,
your device is provided with a 3 year warranty starting with the purchase date. In the event of product defects, you are entitled to statutory rights against the vendor. These statutory rights are not restricted by our warranty presented in the following.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts with the purchase date. Please keep the original purchase receipt in a safe place. This document is required to verify the purchase.
If within three years from the purchase date of this product a material or factory defect occurs, the product will be repaired or replaced by us – at our discretion – free of charge to you, or the purchase price will be refunded. This warranty implies that within the period of three years the defective device and the purchase receipt are presented, including a brief written description of the defect and the time it occurred.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be returned to you. No new warranty period starts with a repair or replacement of the product.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not extended when the warranty has been claimed. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Any damages and defects already existing at the time of purchase must be reported immediately upon unpacking. Repairs arising after the expiration of the warranty period are subject to a charge.
Warranty coverage
The device was produced carefully according to strict quality guidelines and tested diligently prior to delivery. The warranty applies to material or factory defects.
Excluded from the warranty are wear parts subject to normal wear and damages to fragile parts, e.g. switches, lamps or other parts manufactured from glass.
This warranty expires if the product is damaged, not used as intended or not serviced. For the proper operation of the product, all instructions listed in the operating instructions must be observed carefully. Any form of use and handling that is advised against in the operating instructions or warned against must always be avoided.
The product is only intended for private and not for commercial use. In the case of incorrect and improper treatment, use of force and interventions not performed by our authorised Service Centre, the warranty shall cease.
