USE OF THE PRESERVING FOIL

The foil allows you to prepare bags of the accurate length, suitable for the food you want to preserve.

  1. Establish the length of the bag, considering the length of the food and adding at least 8 cm. Add another 2cm for each time you want to reuse the bag.

  2. Unwind the foil roll and use sharp scissors with long blades to cut the foil into the desired size.

  3. Place one of the two open ends of the foil on the sealing strip with the smooth part upwards. CAUTION! Do not let the foil enter the suction chamber.

  4. Make sure that the bag is well stretched, clean and without folds.

  5. Lay down one open end of the foil onto the sealing strip

  6. Press down firmly with both hands the two sides of the cover until it clicks. The cover is now closed.

  7. Press the SEAL button to start sealing one end of the preserving foil. When the light goes out, the end of the foil has been sealed. Press the UNLOCK button and then the two cover opening buttons to open the cover and take out the bag. Verify the sealing of the bag. The bag is now ready for use.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Before each use, carefully clean the device following the instructions given in the paragraph “Cleaning and maintenance”.

  1. Place the device on a flat and stable surface. Make sure you leave enough working space around the appliance.
  2. Connect the device to a power supply outlet corresponding to the rating data given on the bottom of the device. Verify that the green warning light switches on.
  3. Insert homogeneously the food to be preserved in the bag. Verify that the bag is 8cm longer than the length of the food to be preserved.
  4. Lift the cover.
  5. Place the open end of the bag in the suction chamber, with the smooth part upwards. Make sure that side of the bag that rests on the sealing strip is clean and free of any food residues. The bag must be well stretched, without any folds.
  6. Firmly press with both hands on the two sides of the cover until you hear a click, locking the two locking levers at the bottom of the device.
  7. Press the AUTO button to start the air suction automatically or use the VACUUM and SEAL buttons to manually package your food, which might come in handy for packaging sauces etc. Follow the instructions below for automatic or manual vacuum sealing. Wait for the red light to go out. First press the UNLOCK button and only then the two cover opening buttons at the sides of the appliance to open the cover.
  8. Verify the sealing of the bag and place it in the fridge or freezer.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before performing the cleaning procedures, make sure that the plug has been disconnected from the power supply outlet.

  • Before and after the use, clean the device with a dry or slightly wet cloth, paying attention not to let liquids penetrate in the device. The liquid collection tank can be removed and rinsed under a water jet.
  • To remove the liquid collection tank, unlock the lever positioned on the side by pulling it towards the right and by pulling the container upwards. Before repositioning it into the device, make sure that it is completely clean.

  • It is important to remove any nylon residuals (bag) from the sealing strip using a soft cloth after each use, paying attention not to damage it. Clean the sealing strip only when it has cooled down.

  • This unit contains precision components. Therefore, do not submit the appliance to extreme temperature variations, humidity, bumps, dust and direct sunlight.
  • Do not let the unit fall or be hit. For cleaning, never use chemical or abrasive products.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The device does not work

  • Check if the plug is well inserted into the power supply outlet.
  • Verify whether the warning light is on.
  • The thermal protection may have tripped: let the device cool down for at least 30 minutes and switch it on again.

The device does not create the complete vacuum in the bag

  • The bag could have been pierced. Try to replace it with a new one.
  • Verify the correct position of the bag within the suction chamber.
  • The sealing strip could have been overheated: this occurs when many sealing procedures are performed consecutively at very short intervals. Wait a couple of minutes to let the sealing strip cool down. Between one sealing and the next, we suggest to wait at least 20 seconds.

The bag does not keep the vacuum condition after it has been sealed

  • Check if the bag is not pierced. Protect any pointy edge with pieces of paper towel.
  • Make sure that there are no impurities along the sealing: crumbs, fat, etc. Reopen the bag and try again to perform the sealing.

The bag melts and is not sealed in the right way

• Make sure that the bag is clean and well stretched.
