How to install the stand and temperature probe?

First, fix the vertical pole using the screw connector, then install the crossbar fixer and support rail. Next, secure the loop between the stand and the stirrer body. Insert the temperature probe into the stand and plug it into the back of the machine.

How to start stirring?

Place the beaker with liquid in the center of the plate, add the magnetic stir bar. Turn on the device, then press the STIR button to start stirring. Turn the rotary knob to adjust the desired speed.

How to set the temperature?

Press the HEAT button to activate heating. The plate temperature is displayed at the top. To measure the liquid temperature, use the external probe plugged in at the back; the display will then switch to the measured temperature.

What to do if the screen shows 'pot'?

This means the external temperature probe is not properly placed in the liquid or the temperature does not change within 10 minutes of power-on. Check that the probe is immersed and that heating is active.

What are the important safety precautions?

Read the manual carefully before use. Wear protective equipment. Do not touch the hot plate. Ensure the outlet is grounded. Do not use in a humid or explosive environment. Maintain a minimum 100 mm clearance around the device.

What is the maximum stirring capacity?

The maximum stirring capacity is 2000 mL for model SH-3ABE. Use an appropriate beaker and a suitably sized magnetic stir bar.

Can I use the device without a temperature probe?

Yes, the device works without a probe. In this case, the displayed temperature is that of the hot plate. The probe is optional for measuring liquid temperature.

How to clean the magnetic stirrer?

Unplug the device and let it cool. Clean the plate and housing with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners and avoid water ingress.

• Set up the instrument in a spacious area on a stable, clean, non-slip, and fireproof surface. Do not operate the instrument in explosive atmospheres, with hazardous substances, or around water. ● Gradually increase the speed, reduce the speed if:
• Stirring bar breaks away due to high speed
• The instrument is not running smoothly, or the container is not centered on the plate
• Temperature must always be set to at least 50° C lower than the boiling point of the media used.
• Be aware of hazards due to:
• Flammable materials or media with a low boiling temperature
• Overfilling of media
• Unsafe container

Process pathogenic materials only in closed vessels.

If the case of the stirrer bar is PTFE, please note:

Elemental fluorine, fluorine trifluoride, and alkali metals will corrode PTFE, and halogenated alkanes will cause it to swell at room temperature.

Molten alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, or their solutions, as well as powders of elements from the second and third groups of the Periodic Table, will react chemically with PTFE when the temperature reaches 300–400°C.

Check the instrument and accessories prior to each use. Do not use damaged components. Safe operation is only guaranteed with the accessories listed in the “Accessories” section. Accessories must be securely attached to the device and must be removed when not in use. Always disconnect the power before fitting accessories.

When an external temperature sensor is needed, the tip of the measuring sensor must be at least 5–10 mm from the vessel bottom wall.

The instrument can only be fully disconnected from the main power supply by turning off the main switch or disconnecting the plug.

The voltage stated on the label must correspond to the main power supply.

Ensure that the main power supply cable does not touch the hotplate. Do not cover the device.

The instrument must only be operated by experts.

Keep away from high magnetic fields.

Proper use

The instrument is designed for mixing and/or heating liquids in schools, laboratories, or factories.

Observe the minimum distances between multiple units, and distance to the rear wall and above the assembly (min. 100 mm).

ASSEMBLY STEPS

Support frame and sensor installation steps

1. Connect the upright post of the support frame (screw connection, please do not plug it directly);
2. Install the cross bar fixer of the support frame;
3. Install the support rail;
4. Install the fixing buckle between the support frame and the agitator body;
5. Install the stirring rod;

Fix the support frame and the agitator main body, and connect the power supply according to the socket of the main body.

Precautions for installation:

1. This product is a precision experimental instrument. Please operate according to the interface during installation.
2. Please install in strict accordance with the installation steps:
3. After installation, please check the verticality of the support frame and the level of the support rail.
4. Please ensure that all parts are tightly connected without looseness. If you find that the connection part is loose during use, please stop immediately and reinstall it to avoid causing damage to parts and experiments.

PRODUCT FUNCTIONS

SH-3ABE, SH-3ABEII

• PV represents the temperature. When there is no external sensor, it represents the temperature of the furnace plate; when there is an external sensor, it represents the temperature of the external sensor.
• SV represents the rotational speed. In the set state, it represents the set rotational speed; in the non-set state, it represents the running rotational speed.
• If the external temperature sensor is not placed in the beaker on the heating plate, the temperature change cannot be sensed within 10 minutes after the machine is powered on, and the instrument turns off heating and displays "pot".

Operation mode:

1. Place the machine on a horizontal desktop, and then connect the power cord to the power outlet on the back of the base.
2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard socket.
3. Pay attention to the power switch on the right side of the base. The "I" indicates on, and "O" indicates off.
4. Place the machine stably, put the beaker with the liquid medicine in the center of the working plate, put an appropriate rotor in the beaker and run it in the center of the beaker. Turn on the power supply. The upper row of the instrument displays the temperature of the furnace plate (if the sensor is connected externally, the temperature of the external sensor is displayed), and the lower row displays "Off". Press the "HEAT" button to start the machine running and heating up. Similarly, press the "STIR" knob once, and the machine starts to stir. Adjust it to the required speed by rotating the "STIR" knob (when the knob rotates, the lower row of the instrument will display the rotation speed for 2 seconds after the end of rotation, and then the lower row instrument will display the current rotation speed).
5. If you need to measure the temperature of the liquid in the beaker, connect the bracket, insert the sensor lead plug into the back of the machine, and then insert the sensor into the liquid. At this time, the temperature displayed by the instrument is the liquid temperature.

Precautions for use

1. Avoid using in a humid environment.
2. When in use, the liquid medicine in the beaker should not be too full to prevent it from overflowing when stirring.
3. Do not touch the oven plate during use to avoid burns.

1. Place the machine stably, and put the beaker with the liquid medicine in the center of the working plate.

4. Measure the temperature of the liquid in the beaker with a thermometer for a bracket.
