How to start stirring on the SH-3ABEII?

Place the beaker containing the liquid and the stir bar in the center of the plate. Press the STIR button to start stirring. Adjust the speed by turning the stir knob.

How to adjust the heating temperature?

Press the HEAT button to activate heating. Turn the heat knob to set the desired temperature. The set temperature is displayed on the upper row.

What is the maximum stirring capacity?

The maximum stirring capacity is 5000 mL (5 liters) for the SH-3ABEII model.

How to install the stand and temperature sensor?

Screw the vertical rod into the base, install the clamp and support rail. Attach the bracket to the main body. Connect the temperature sensor to the back of the device and immerse it in the liquid. Follow the diagram in the manual.

What to do if the screen displays 'pot'?

The 'pot' display means that the external temperature sensor is not properly placed in the liquid or the temperature has not risen within 10 minutes. Check that the sensor is fully immersed and that heating is activated.

What safety precautions should be followed?

Use the device on a stable, fireproof surface. Do not touch the heating plate (burn risk). Wear protective equipment. Do not use in an explosive atmosphere. Unplug before installing accessories.

Can I use the stirrer with flammable liquids?

Yes, but the set temperature must be at least 50 °C below the flash point of the liquid. Work in a ventilated area and follow safety instructions.

How to clean the magnetic stirrer?

Unplug the device and let it cool down. Clean the plate and surfaces with a non-abrasive damp cloth. Avoid moisture inside. Do not immerse the device in water.

What to do if the stir bar does not rotate?

Check that the stir bar is properly placed in the center of the beaker and is suitable for the container size. Gradually increase the speed. If the problem persists, reduce the speed or center the container.

• Set up the instrument in a spacious area on a stable, clean, non-slip, and fireproof surface. Do not operate the instrument in explosive atmospheres, with hazardous substances, or around water. ● Gradually increase the speed, reduce the speed if:
• Stirring bar breaks away due to high speed
• The instrument is not running smoothly, or the container is not centered on the plate
• Temperature must always be set to at least 50°C lower than the flash point of the media used.
• Be aware of hazards due to:
• Flammable materials or media with a low boiling temperature
• Overfilling of media
• Unsafe container

Process pathogenic materials only in closed vessels.

If the case of the stirrer bar is PTFE, please note:

Elemental fluorine, chlorine trifluoride, and alkali metals will corrode PTFE, and halogenated alkanes will cause it to swell at room temperature.

Molten alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, or their solutions, as well as powders of elements from the second and third groups of the Periodic Table, will react chemically with PTFE when the temperature reaches 300–400°C.

Check the instrument and accessories prior to each use. Do not use damaged components. Safe operation is only guaranteed with the accessories listed in the “Accessories” section. Accessories must be securely attached to the device and must be removed when not in use. Always disconnect the power before fitting accessories.

When an external temperature sensor is needed, the tip of the measuring sensor must be at least 5–10 mm from the vessel bottom wall.

The instrument can only be fully disconnected from the main power supply by turning off the main switch or disconnecting the plug.

The voltage stated on the label must correspond to the main power supply.

Ensure that the main power supply cable does not touch the hotplate. Do not cover the device.

The instrument must only be operated by experts.

Keep away from high magnetic fields.

Proper use

The instrument is designed for mixing and/or heating liquids in schools, laboratories, or factories.

Observe the minimum distances between multiple units, and distance to the rear wall and above the assembly (min. 100 mm).

ASSEMBLY STEPS

Support frame and sensor installation steps

1. Connect the upright post of the support frame (screw connection, please do not plug it directly);
2. Install the cross bar fixer of the support frame;
3. Install the support rail;
4. Install the fixing buckle between the support frame and the agitator body;
5. Install the stirring rod;

Fix the support frame and the agitator main body, and connect the power supply according to the socket of the main body.

Precautions for installation:

1. This product is a precision experimental instrument. Please operate according to the interface during installation.
2. Please install in strict accordance with the installation steps:
3. After installation, please check the verticality of the support frame and the level of the support rail.
4. Please ensure that all parts are tightly connected without looseness. If you find that the connection part is loose during use, please stop immediately and reinstall it to avoid causing damage to parts and experiments.

The instrument is damaged.

PRODUCT FUNCTIONS

SH-3ABE, SH-3ABEII

• PV represents the temperature. When there is no external sensor, it represents the temperature of the furnace plate; when there is an external sensor, it represents the temperature of the external sensor.
• SV represents the rotational speed. In the set state, it represents the set rotational speed; in the non-set state, it represents the running rotational speed.
• If the external temperature sensor is not placed in the beaker on the heating plate, the temperature change cannot be sensed within 10 minutes after the machine is powered on, and the instrument turns off heating and displays "pot".

Operation mode:

1. Place the machine on a horizontal desktop, and then connect the power cord to the power outlet on the back of the base.
2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard socket.
3. Pay attention to the power switch on the right side of the base. The "I" indicates on, and "O" indicates off.
4. Place the machine stably, put the beaker with the liquid medicine in the center of the working plate, put an appropriate rotor in the beaker and run it in the center of the beaker. Turn on the power supply. The upper row of the instrument displays the temperature of the furnace plate (if the sensor is connected externally, the temperature of the external sensor is displayed), and the lower row displays "Off". Press the "HEAT" button to start the machine running and heating up. Similarly, press the "STIR" knob once, and the machine starts to stir. Adjust it to the required speed by rotating the "STIR" knob (when the knob rotates, the lower row of the instrument will display the rotation speed for 2 seconds after the end of rotation, and then the lower row instrument will display the current rotation speed).
5. If you need to measure the temperature of the liquid in the beaker, connect the bracket, insert the sensor lead plug into the back of the machine, and then insert the sensor into the liquid. At this time, the temperature displayed by the instrument is the liquid temperature.

Precautions for use

1. Avoid using in a humid environment.
2. When in use, the liquid medicine in the beaker should not be too full to prevent it from overflowing when stirring.
3. Do not touch the oven plate during use to avoid burns.

Use operation mode

1. Place the machine stably, and put the beaker with the liquid medicine in the center of the working plate.
2. Put the appropriate rotor in the beaker, and make it in the center of the beaker.
3. Turn on the power supply, and adjust the temperature by turning the "HEAT" knob. When HEATING, the "HEAT" indicator lights up, and the heat power is adjusted by the "HEAT" knob. Adjust the stirring speed by turning the "STIR" knob. When STIRRING, the "STIR" indicator light is on, and the stirring speed is adjusted by the "STIR" knob.
4. Measure the temperature of the liquid in the beaker with a thermometer on a bracket.

The symbol showing a wheelie bin crossed through indicates that the product requires separate refuse collection in the European Union. This applies to the product and all accessories marked with this symbol. Products marked as such may not be discarded with normal domestic waste, but must be taken to a collection point for recycling electrical and electronic devices.
