Disconnect the battery. Remove the old controller by disconnecting the terminals. Connect the wires according to the pinout diagram (pins 1-2 for potentiometer, 3 for speed, 4 for key switch, 5 empty). Securely fasten the new controller. Reconnect the battery and test.

What type of motor is compatible with this controller?

This controller is compatible with series motors with 3 blades and 5 pins, used on EZ-GO TXT, Medalist, and ITS series 1994-2019 models. It does not work with separately excited (Sep Ex) or shunt wound motors.

● This product is designed to fit the 1206-4301 Curtis Controller 36V - Compatible with E-Z-GO EZGO TXT, Series ITS 1994-2019; Compatible with Medalist & TXT models only with Series Motor (3 Blades and 5 1994-2019; Not a Separately Excited (Sep Ex) motor controller and will not work with shunt wound electric motors.
