What type of fuel to use in the Vevor XMZ-D2 heater?

Use exclusively high-quality diesel (gas oil). Kerosene, gasoline, vegetable oil or used oil can damage the appliance and cause odors or malfunctions.

How to correctly install the heater to avoid oil leaks?

The heater must be installed with the intake and exhaust ports facing downward (never on the side). Leave 10 cm of space around for ventilation and ensure the exhaust pipe is more than 5 cm above the ground.

What to do if error code E-01 appears?

Code E-01 indicates abnormal voltage. Check that the power supply is 12 V and the current is at least 15 A. Ensure connections are secure, the battery is not being charged during use, and do not use the cigarette lighter.

How to start the heater for the first time?

Before the first start, it is necessary to manually pump fuel to the pump inlet. Use the oil pump mode (hold the DOWN button for 7 seconds in stop mode) until fuel arrives. Then start normally; the heater may take 3 to 5 minutes to heat up.

Why does the heater emit white smoke?

White smoke often comes from an ignition failure due to excess fuel. Disconnect the oil pipe, restart 2-3 times to burn off the excess, then reconnect. You can also blow air into the intake pipe using a hairdryer.

How to use the Bluetooth function of the heater?

Download the airHeaterBle app from the App Store or Google Play. Turn on the heater, press and hold M simultaneously for 3 seconds to display the Bluetooth name (4 characters). In the app, search for the name 'BYD + MAC + 4 digits' and connect.

Can I use the car's cigarette lighter as a power source?

No, the cigarette lighter does not provide sufficient current (requires ≥15 A). Use a battery or dedicated 12 V power supply with at least 15 A (20 A recommended) and cables of diameter ≥2 mm².

How to clean the combustion chamber in case of black smoke?

Black smoke indicates carbon buildup. Disassemble the casing, remove the main board and fan with an Allen key, then unscrew the combustion chamber. Replace it with a new one or clean it thoroughly before reassembling.

What is the difference between manual mode and automatic mode?

In manual mode, you set the power from 1 to 10 (fixed level). In automatic mode, you set a target temperature (8-36 °C) and the heater automatically adjusts its power to maintain that temperature.

What to do in case of oil leakage?

First check that the heater is not installed on its side (common cause). Inspect the glow plug and atomization network: if clogged, replace it. Always use high-quality diesel to avoid blockages.

And keep away from fuel tanks, compression tanks, fire extinguishers, clothes, and other flammable objects.

1. Do not use a cigarette lighter for startup.
2. Do not use the heater in closed and/or unventilated places.
3. The heaters shall be turned off when filling fuel.
4. Do not cut off the electric power during operation.
5. If fuel leaks or discharges from the fuel system of the heater, please contact VEVOR for repair.
6. Place the exhaust outlet outside to prevent any penetration of exhaust fumes.
7. During operation, it is forbidden to cut off the electric power to stop the heater from working.
8. Seal all gaps between the mounting plate and the car body.
9. The machine will stop heating after over-temperature protection. Please do not power off. After the machine has naturally cooled down and turned off, it can be restarted.
10. After turning off the machine, please do not immediately disconnect the power supply. It takes 3-5 minutes for the machine to stop working completely.
11. After starting the machine, it will take 3-5 minutes to work normally and heat up. Please wait patiently.
12. When the heater is just started, the current is relatively high, so an adapter with a voltage of 12V and a current of 15A or greater is required for the power supply.
13. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. During installing/using, service and disposal of the appliance, please pay attention that there should be no flammable substances around the exhaust pipe. (The highest working temperature may reach 752°F, so it is forbidden to drill holes in the wooden floor to install the machine, and it is forbidden to use non-high temperature resistant glue to avoid odor poisoning.) Taking these precautions can avoid causing a fire by igniting flammable material.

PRODUCT FUNCTION

1. The diesel heater (hereinafter referred to as the heater) is independent of the original engine system. It makes use of a 12V direct current to drive. There are two kinds of control modes for the heater: Automatic control mode and Manual mode. The heater adopts light diesel, which corresponds to the environmental temperature as fuel, and it can be started and operated normally at a temperature of above 40°C. The inhaled fresh air is heated to hot air through the heat by the energy which comes from fuel burning, then blown to where it is needed. This type of heater has the advantage of compact structure, lightweight, high

thermal efficiency, economize on electricity and fuel, and easy installation.

1. The heater gets rid of damage to the car caused by the sudden drop in temperature, improves the temperature inside the car, and preheats the engine coolant to avoid engine wear at low temperature. It is conducive to car interior, car start, and car glass defrost and defog.

The heater is mainly installed in the passenger room or baggage room of the vehicle. If it is installed, fix the heater under the vehicle, but beware of splashing.

It is recommended to use high-grade diesel fuel when refueling diesel heater. Other types of fuels, such as kerosene, vegetable gasoline, waste oil, etc., cannot be used. Otherwise, the heater

may have an unpleasant odor and malfunction during operation.

INSTALLATION OF FUEL TANK AND NOZZLE

1. Splitting machine

Please strictly follow the following diagram to avoid inevitable losses caused by oil leakage during use:

1) Drill holes with a 7.5mm drill bit at the protruding position of the fuel tank. 2) Cover the fuel tank nozzle with a gasket. 3) Fix the fuel tank nozzle with iron wire and thread it into the punching point along the fuel tank opening. 4) Swivel the pointed pliers to remove the fuel tank nozzle. 5) Insert washers and nuts for locking. 6) The three installation holes of the fuel tank are fixed with bolts and washers, and the installation is completed.

Refer to the installation diagram below and carefully read the precautions when installing or using:

(1) No Side Installation:

※ Side installation of the diesel heater will result in oil leaks inside the machine after a period of use, producing a large amount of smoke and carbon monoxide poisoning. During installation, leave a space of 10cm around the heater to ensure good ventilation.

※ If installing the heater inside a building:

1) With the heater placed indoors: Make holes in the wall for the exhaust pipe to be placed outdoors. Pay attention to insulating the exhaust pipe as it can become very hot and could cause a fire.

2) With the heater placed outdoors: It's necessary to extend the exhaust pipe, avoid the exhaust from being sucked into the building from the back fan position of the heater, which can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning.

※ Installation position and precautions

1) Reserve a 4-inch gap between the air inlet for unobstructed air intake 2) Keep the bottom exhaust pipe at a distance of 2 inches from the ground to prevent fires if the exhaust pipe temperature is high;

3) Do not bend the exhaust pipe excessively, as it may cause uneven exhaust flow;

4) The air outlet duct is not easily too long and multiple bends can cause be unable to be discharged, resulting in a high temperature fault;

5) When refueling the fuel tank, do not flow onto the casing, as it will flow the inside of the machine to the exhaust pipe position, causing smoke. I oil level close to the fuel tank port;

6) Do not block the intake pipe, which will cause insufficient oxygen and the heater will not work;

(2) Precautions for the power supply:

The power supply for the diesel heater must meet the following requirements: Voltage: 12V; Current: ≥20A, either from a direct power source or a battery. If powered by a battery, do not charge the battery while using the heater, as insufficient current can cause malfunction. Ensure a firm and secure connection to the battery. Using clamps for fixation can result in poor contact.

1. Do not use the heater when charging the battery.

2. The current is low and it does not work.

Suggest using energy storage power, batteries, and adapters for power supply.

When extending the power cable for the diesel heater, the wire diameter must be >2 mm². Using a thin wire can lead to insufficient current, causing the heater to malfunction. After connecting, use insulating tape to protect the connection and prevent electrical leakage, which might lead to fires.

Do not disconnect the power when the diesel heater is operating at high temperatures. This can cause backfire due to high temperatures. Repeatedly

doing so can cause permanent damage. Solutions:

- If power is cut and you immediately turn on the heater: Wait until the intake of the heater has completely dissipated before turning it on for normal operation. - If the heater is turned on a long time after a power cut: Incomplete combustion inside may produce a large amount of smoke. Wait for the smoke to clear, the heater will automatically start and operate normally.

(3) After the heater is installed, you need to manually pump before turning it on:

The fuel line of the heater is long. Before initially starting the heater, manually pump oil up to the fuel inlet. Otherwise, when turned on, the heater will take 30 minutes to detect the fuel (during this time, it will continuously check for signal). Once the ignition plug detects the fuel, it will ignite and heat. Refer to the LCD switch user guide for detailed instructions on manual fuel pumping.

The first work requires manual pumping of oil to the position shown in the (1) and starting up.

When manually pumping fuel, pump just up to the fuel inlet. Over-pumping can result in the heater emitting a large amount of white smoke. Quick solution: disconnect the fuel line, turn on the heater and let it stop naturally, then restart it. Repeat the process until no smoke is emitted. Reconnect the fuel line and turn the heater on to resume normal operation.

After starting the diesel heater, continuously blow air into the air pipe using an air pump or a high-speed blower until the heater starts and functions normally. If white smoke appears after operating for a period: This indicates that the atomizing net is clogged. Remove the ignition plug, take out the atomizing net, clean its surface or replace it with a new one.

Excessive pump oil produces white smoke.

Blow the air gun towards the intake pipe to assist combustion.

Remove the oil pipe and insert it after it is not blocked.

※ Oil circuit fault, such as E4/E8/E10 fault code, indicates that there is no heater or heat in the machine. The following steps need to be followed for troubleshooting:

① Is there a shortage of oil in the fuel tank; ② Whether the oil filter is blocked; ③ Is there any bending of the oil pipe that cannot accommodate oil; ④ Is the oil pump not working;

※ Maintenance: If black smoke is found during the operation of the heater for a period of time or the second year of use, it indicates that there is carbon accumulation in the combustion chamber that needs to be cleaned in a timely manner. The operation method is as follows:

① Remove the outer shell; ② Remove the motherboard bolts with an Allen wrench; ③ Remove the four bolts of the fan assembly with an Allen wrench; ④ Remove the four bolts of the combustion chamber with an Allen wrench; ⑤ Remove the combustion chamber and replace it with a new recovery heater.

Cautions for Diesel Heater Power Supply:

※ Diesel heater power supply requirements: Voltage: 12V; Current: ≥ 20A; Use either a power source or a battery. (Avoid charging the battery while supplying power to the heater, as low current may lead to malfunctions. Ensure a secure battery connection without using clamps to prevent poor contact. Using the car cigarette lighter as a power source is not recommended due to insufficient current.)

Warning:

1. The air inlet shall not be blocked, and keep the inlet open and clear.
2. Keep the exhaust pipe clear. The exhaust pipe outlet shall be kept away from anything flammable, and avoid heating and igniting the flammable goods and loading cargo on the ground.
3. To ensure optimal combustion, please remember that the smoke exhaust pipe cannot be placed upward but must be placed horizontally or downward.

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

After starting the machine for 3-5 minutes, it will work normally and heat up. Please wait patiently.

There are two types of switches, the standard without Bluetooth function and the high-end with Bluetooth function.

Standard one without Bluetooth function:

Run Mode declaration:

The heater has manual set, the output power mode and automatic constant temperature mode. In the automatic mode the heater according to the temper difference between setting and room, automatically adjusts the output power. In the manual mode the adjustable power range for Level 1 \~ 10, in the autor

mode the setting temperature adjustable for 8 \~ 36 °C (46.4°F \~ 96.8°F).

Instruction:

• Turn ON/OFF the Heater: Press the ON/OFF key to turn ON or OFF the heater.
• Change the Run Mode: Press the ON/OFF key more than 3s to change the run mode for the heater. It will loop at manual mode and automatic mode
• Adjust Temperature Units (°C and °F): In the automatic mode, press the key more than 3s to switch between °C and °F. ●
• Adjust Output Power Level or Setting Temperature: In manual mode, use the

UP and DOWN keys to adjust the output power. In automatic mode, use UP and DOWN keys to adjust the setting temperature.

• Remote Controller Authorization: When the controller is in the off status, press and hold the UP key for more than 2 seconds until the display is "rte," then release the UP key. Next, press any key on the remote control. When the controller returns to the off status, it means authorization has successful. If not, repeat the above operation.
• Time Setting: When the controller is in "On" status, press the DOWN key more than 2s until the screen displays digital "S01" and then click the DOWN key to select a set project it will loop in a project.

• Press the ON/OFF key more than 2s into edit mode and clicked the ON/C key again to exit edit mode. In the edit mode, the display blinks the set the running time set range 0.5 \~ 10 hours, and the set step 0.5 hours. the Timer switch displays t-oF, the Timer is disabled; display t-oN the Ti enabled.
• Select Language: While the controller is on, press and hold the ON/OFF key and the DOWN key for more than 3 seconds to change the language of speaker. It will cycle between options such as "u-OF" (mute), "u-En" (Eng "u-Ge" (German), and "u-Ru" (Russian).
• Executing Independent Fuel Pumping Program: When the controller is in the OFF status, first power it on and press and hold the DOWN key for more 7 seconds until the display shows "300." Release the DOWN key, and the pump will start pumping fuel. The display will show the remaining time (in seconds) for this program. When the remaining time reaches "0," the pump program is complete. Pressing the ON/OFF key will stop the program.

Warning:

When execute this programme attention don't pumping too much fuel into the heater.

Fault display:

When the heater fails, the display area flashes a fault code, and the fault type is shown in the table below:

Operating instructions:

• On/Off: Press【⏻】 to start the machine in the off state; press【◀】 to shut down the machine when it is turned on.
• Mode switching: Under the temperature control mode, press [M] to switch to gear mode, and under gear mode, press [M] to switch to temperature control mode.
• Gear adjustment: Press【▲】 to run gear/temperature+1, up to 10 gear/36°C, press【▼】 to run gear/temperature - 1, down to 1 gear/8°C.
• Time setting: In the power-on state, the screen displays the current time, and long press [▲] for 3s to enter the time setting:

- Remote control matching: When the machine is turned on, press and hold [▲] for 3s to display 'rte' on the screen. At this time, press any key on the rer control. If the matching is successful, the system will automatically return to t operation interface.

- Bluetooth matching (optional): open the mobile phone applet, press the 【Set】key, set the 4-digit password, and then adjust the switch to enter the 010 p the engineering mode. The interface displays the original password. The code flashes until the original password changes to the set password, and the inte display changes to "SUC". After successful matching, it automatically returns to the operation interface.

- Query the local Bluetooth name: After turning on the machine, press [+]【M】

for 3s at the same time, the screen displays the Bluetooth name in 4-digit characters (0-F), and the non-Bluetooth version screen displays "NULL". Press any key again to exit.

- Language switching: Press and ho[∅M] 【▼】 for 3s while turning on the

machine to switch, and cycle through the sequence of "English", "German", "Russian", and "voice off".

• Oil pumping mode: Under the first power-on and power-off state, press and hold 【▼】 for 7s, and the display area starts to count down for 300s to state pumping oil. After the countdown is completed, the pump automatically ends ( press【💡】to end pumping oil and shut down;

- Fault display: When the heater fails, the display area flashes a fault code, and the fault type is shown in the table below:

Search and download the corresponding APP named "airHeaterBle" in the IOS/Android APP store, then please follow the below steps to connect and control the heater with a mobile phone.

Scan the QR-Code by browser to download the Airheater app from GooglePlay or search the

"Airheaterble" in the Google Play app to install Airheater app.

1. Query the Bluetooth name: After turning on the machine, press 【💡】 【M】

for 3s at the same time, the screen displays the Bluetooth name in 4-digit characters (0-F).

1. Connect to the mobile phone via Bluetooth: Click on the Bluetooth symbol in the upper right corner, find the corresponding local Bluetooth number: BYD+M address of the Bluetooth device+4 digits from the controller (Refer to the picture above), then click on the Bluetooth number to connect.
