How to install the Y2 vacuum pump?

Assemble the vacuum chamber following the instructions: install the vacuum gauge on the acrylic lid, connect the hose to the pump, and fill the pump with oil before first use.
Important: Tighten the fittings without excessive force to avoid damaging the threads.

Why is the gauge needle not moving?

This may be due to poor lid sealing. Check that the red rubber ring is properly positioned. If necessary, press firmly on the lid for 5 seconds after starting the pump to create a seal.
Tip: Make sure the oil drain plug is closed.

What is the maximum capacity of the Y2 chamber?

The Y2 chamber has a volume of 7 liters, ideal for degassing epoxy resins or vacuum sealing small items. Do not exceed the indicated volume to avoid overflow.

How to maintain the vacuum pump?

After each use, drain the used oil and replace it with new vacuum pump oil. Clean the filters regularly. Refer to the manual for the recommended oil change interval (every 50 hours of use).

Can I use the pump without oil?

No, the Y2 pump is an oil-lubricated vane pump. Always use vacuum pump oil (SAE 20W-50 viscosity recommended). Running it dry would damage the pump.

What to do if the chamber leaks?

Check the red rubber ring on the lid and the square gasket. Clean the contact surfaces. If the gasket is deformed, replace it with a new one (available as a spare part).
Tip: Apply a little silicone grease to the gasket to improve sealing.

What accessories are included with the Y2 pump?

The Y2 pump comes with a 1.5 m rubber hose, a muffler, a square gasket, and a vacuum gauge (depending on version). Some models do not include the wrench; check the package contents.

Can I use the Y2 chamber with another pump?

Yes, the acrylic chamber has a standard 1/4 inch SAE female connection port. It is compatible with most vacuum pumps equipped with the corresponding male fitting.

How to clean the acrylic chamber?

Use a soft cloth and soapy water. Avoid harsh solvents (acetone, alcohol) that may crack the acrylic. Dry thoroughly before storage.

What to do if the pump overheats?

Turn off the pump immediately. Let it cool for 30 minutes. Check the oil level and ensure the ventilation openings are not blocked. If the problem persists, contact Vevor customer service.

Assembly precautions

1. Assemble only according to these instructions. Improper assembly can create hazards.
2. Keep the assembly area clean and well-lit.
3. Keep bystanders out of the area during assembly.
4. Do not assemble when tired or when under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.
5. The product capabilities apply to properly and completely assembled products only.

CAUTION:

1) When the vacuum gauge of the vacuum barrel is connected with acrylic plate, rubber rings must be installed on the upper and lower: otherwise, there will be air leakage. 2) In some cases, the red rubber ring on the outer edge of the chamber cover may be uneven, causing poor sealing when directly placed on chamber. This can result in the vacuum gauge showing no pressure response. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

a. Start the vacuum pump. b. Using both hands, firmly press down on the chamber cover for approximately 5 seconds. c. Release the pressure on the chamber cover after observing the rotation of the pointer on the vacuum gauge. d. The rotation of the vacuum gauge pointer indicates that the vacuum chamber and vacuum pump are operating normally. e. By applying this treatment, you can ensure proper sealing and establish the normal operation of the vacuum chamber and vacuum pump.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR VACUUM PUMP AND VACUUM CHAMBER

1. After removing the vacuum gauge assembly, install it in the order shown in the diagram, then tighten the nut with appropriate force.
2. Prepare 1 vacuum pump, 1 vacuum chamber, and vacuum pump oil.
3. After filling the vacuum pump, connect the hose to the air inlet nozzle of the vacuum pump.

1. The other end of the hose is connected to the vacuum gauge, and the valve switch is shown in the figure.

1. After connection, start the power normally, and you will see the pointer pressure of the vacuum gauge rotate.
