Basic Safety Instructions
- The appliance is intended to be used in household only and similar environments like:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments, in farm houses,
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
- on bed and breakfast type environments.
- Repairs of Cloer electronics appliances should be carried out only by the Cloer customer service. Improper repairs can involve substantial dangers for the user. Moreover, this will void your warranty claims.
- Operate the appliance only at household-usual power sockets. Check if the mains voltage stated on the type plate is up to that of your power supply network.
- The appliance should be connected to a protective grounding conductor.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Cloer to avoid damage.
- Pull power plug of the power socket
- in case of a defect
- if the appliance is not used for a longer time
- before any cleaning.
- Only pull at the plug, never at the feed cable.
- Do not stretch the feed cable over sharp edges and do not tighten it too tight, do not use the feed cable for carrying and protect it from heat (hotplate, for example).
- Do not place the appliance near hot surfaces such as a gas- or electric cooker or oven.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years to avoid they play with it.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Protect your appliance from humidity (splash water / rain).
- This appliance is not intended to be used with a timer or external accessories.
- Let the appliance cool off before cleaning or stowing away. More information about proper cleaning on the following pages.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than that intended.
- CAUTION: Please be aware that the plate of the grill and heat elements get hot during operation. Please ensure to only touch the handles and controls. Natural stone retains heat and remains hot for a long time after grilling. Do not touch it until it has completely cooled down.
- Note that the appliance has enough space in order to prevent risk of fire. Around the grill the distance should be at least 50~cm . Do not place the grill surface near inflammable liquids, materials, objects, furniture or other heat sources (like stove, gas flame, fire, etc.). Never cover the grill surface with aluminium foil and do not place pots or plans on the grill. The heat accumulation if this happens could damage the non-stick coating. Do not put baking paper or flammable materials on the grill surface. This intense heat could lead to fire.
- Never leave the grill unattended while in use.

Before the first use
- Read these operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time. Remove all packaging elements and stickers, but not the rating plate.
- Place the Raclette grill on a non-slip, level and dry surface.
- Clean the grill surface and the palettes with a damp cloth, if necessary with a little detergent and warm water. Do not use abrasive sponges.
- Place the plate of the grill on the housing.

Smoke and odours may be emitted from the appliance during its first use. The appliance should therefore be heated for approximately 10 minutes before any food is placed on it. Allow the room to air during this time.

The appliance meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives.

The appliance is designed for indoor domestic use only.

CAUTION: The grill surface and the paddles become extremely hot during operation. There is a risk of scalding, and Fire hazard! Try and understand this Only touch the pans which have heat insulation!

ATTENTION! Always unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning.
Operating instructions
- The grill plate (1) and the pans (6) come equipped with a non-stick coating, which prevents grilled food from sticking and makes it easier to clean.
- The non-stick coating means that you need very little or no oil / fat to prepare the food.
- Do not cut or scratch inside the pans or on the grill plate. This may destroy any non-stick coating.
- Use the plastic spatula (7) provided in order to empty the pans.
- The appliance's wide range of temperature temperature control allows you to set the grill temperature to suit the food to be grilled or to keep food warm.
- The grill plate is particularly suitable for grilling meat, fish and vegetables. The food will become tender if you drizzle a little oil over it or marinate it.
Operation
- Place the Raclette grill in the middle of the table, on a dry, non-slip and flat surface.
- Connect the mains plug into the socket.
- Turn the control (5) to switch the device on.
The indicator light comes on. - Select a heating level by turning up the control button.

WARNING!
Now the appliance will get hot!
- The first time the appliance heats up, it may emit light smoke. Smoking then stops after a few minutes.
- Preheat the Raclette grill for a few minutes.
- Chop the meat into bite-sized pieces. This allows them cook faster.
- Now place the food on the grill.
- Top your paddles as you wish.
- Adjust the temperature so that the food to be grilled.
Note: Please ensure that you do not fill the pans too high and that the food does not make any contact with the heating element (2). - Slide the pans under the grill plate on the Raclette level (3) should you wish to make recipes au gratin.
Note: Please place the pans on the unheated shelf (4) should you need a brief break. - Place the food to be grilled on the grill plate whenvergrilling meat, fish and vegetables.
WARNING!
When the surface of the grill is covered with food, it is possible that hot fat or water splashes off the grill surface.
After use, turn the regulator back down and remove the socket!

WARNING!
Do not add any food without using grill tongs or metal forks. This may damage the non-stick coating.
Only use grill utensils made of wood or heat-resistant plastic!
Cleaning
- Before cleaning, disconnect the mains plug and allow the unit to cool down.
- The pans, the plastic spatula and the grill plate are all essentially dishwasher-safe. However, we recommend that you clean all parts by hand to extend the life of the Raclette unit along with its accessories. Cleaning in the dishwasher may adversely affect the characteristics of the paddies and the aluminium plate.
- Clean the surface of the grill and the grill plates with a damp cloth, if required and use a small amount of detergent and warm water. Do not use abrasive sponges.

Clean the appliance's body, cable and plug with a damp cloth, never immerse in water.

Use soft cloths or sponges, never clean with harsh saucepan sponges or steel wool.
- Do not use scouring agents, solvents, sharp objects or cleaning sprays.
- Allow the unit to dry thoroughly after cleaning!
Environmentally friendly disposal
We use environmentally friendly packaging for the transport of our appliances. Please recycle cardboard/paper and plastic packaging appropriately.

ATTENTION!
Electrical appliances should not be disposed of with the household trash.
Electrical appliances contain valuable raw materials. When an appliance is worn-out, please take it to a recognised recycling facility. Consult the local authorities for information on recycling appliances.
Warranty
Cloer electrical appliances are in conformity with the currently required EC-guidelines and safety regulations. If your Cloer electrical appliance has a defect or it does not work properly, contact your specialist dealer. Registered clients have at their disposal our technical customer service.
Manufacturer warranty
Please register your appliances in the period of 6 months since the purchase in order to benefit from our manufacturer warranty. The published conditions of warranty in the moment of the registration are valid. You will find conditions of warranty and product registration here:
