How to turn on and off the 8BitDo arcade controller?

To turn on, press the Xbox button. To turn off, hold the Xbox button for 6 seconds. For a forced shutdown, hold it for 12 seconds.

How to connect the controller wirelessly to an Xbox?

Plug the included receiver into a USB port on the console. Turn on the controller by pressing the Xbox button. The status lights on both the controller and receiver stay on when connected.

Can I use the controller in wired mode?

Yes, connect a USB cable between the controller and the console or PC. Turn on the controller with the Xbox button. The system will recognize it automatically.

What to do if wireless connection is lost?

You can re-pair the receiver. Turn off the controller, hold down the star + configuration + Xbox buttons to turn it on (the light flashes quickly). Plug the receiver into a USB port. The connection will restore automatically.

How to change light effects?

Press the light button to cycle through effects: resonance, wave, breathing, continuous, flow, off. Brightness and color can be adjusted via the Ultimate Software X.

What to do if the battery is low?

The power indicator flashes red. Connect the USB cable to charge. The indicator becomes flashing green during charging and solid green when fully charged.

Wireless Connection

1. Connect the adapter to the USB port of your Xbox device.
2. Press the Xbox button to turn on the Arcade Controller.
3. After the connection is complete, the Status LEDs on both the Arcade Controller and the adapter will remain solid.

Wired Connection

1. Connect the Arcade Controller to your Xbox console via the USB cable.
2. Press the Xbox button to turn on the Arcade Controller, wait until the Arcade Controller is successfully recognized by the Xbox console.

Windows

- System requirement: Windows 10 (1903) or above.

Wireless Connection

1. Connect the adapter to the USB port of your Windows device.
2. Press the Xbox button to turn on the Arcade Controller.
3. After the connection is complete, the Status LEDs on both the Arcade Controller and the adapter will remain solid.

Wired Connection

1. Connect the Arcade Controller to your Windows device via the USB cable.
2. Press the Xbox button to turn on the Arcade Controller, wait until the Arcade Controller is successfully recognized by the Xbox console.

Tournament Lock Switch

- Turn the Tournament lock switch to Lock position, Star button, Profile button, RGB button, Xbox button, View button, Menu button, and Share button will be disabled, to prevent unintentional inputs from impacting game.

P1/P2 Buttons Configuration

• Single button on the Arcade Controller can be mapped to the P1/P2 buttons, multiple button configurations are not supported.
• View button, Menu button, Share button, and Xbox button are not supported for the button configuration.

Re-pair the Adapter

If the Arcade Controller is disconnected from the adapter or the adapter is replaced, you can re-pair it by following these steps:

1. When the Arcade Controller is powered off, press and hold the Star button+Profile button+Xbox button to turn on, and the Status LED will blink rapidly.
2. Connect the adapter to the USB port of your Xbox console or Windows device, wait for the Arcade Controller to automatically pair and connect with the adapter.
3. After the connection is complete, the Status LEDs on both the Arcade Controller and the adapter will remain solid.
