▶ Do not fall below the MIN mark.
Do not operate the device without insert otherwise the contends could burn.
Only use milk or plant-based 'barista' style drinks, e.g. soy milk. Please note that not all plant drinks are suitable for frothing.
The milk foam consistency varies depending on the temperature, type of milk or fat content.
▶ Test different types of milk and temperatures to find the best result for you.
Before use, make sure that there is no dirt on the underside of the jug or on the heating plate.
The jar should be cleaned and dried after each use.
3.3 Overheating protection
The device has an overheating protection. In case of too high temperature inside the device close to electronic components the device will switch off automatically (all function lights are on and the device beeps 5 times). Pull the plug and let the device cool down at leat for half an hour.

4 Cleaning and Maintenance
This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to cleaning and maintaining the device. Please observe the notices to prevent damages due to cleaning the device incorrectly and to ensure trouble-free operation.
4.1 Safety information
ATTENTION
Please observe the safety instructions, before cleaning your device
The device must be cleaned regularly and milk residues must be removed. If the device is not maintained in a clean condition, this will have a detrimental effect on the service life of the device and can also result in a dangerous condition in the device as well as in the growth of fungus and bacteria.
▶ Switch the device off prior to cleaning it and unplug the plug from the wall power outlet.
The heating plate will still be hot after you have finished using it. There is a danger of burns! Wait until the device has cooled down.
Clean the hob after use as soon as it has cooled down. Extended waiting unnecessarily complicates cleaning and can make it impossible in extreme cases. Excessive accumulations of dirt can even damage the device under certain circumstances.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids, and do not put it in the dishwasher.

ATTENTION
▶ Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
▶ Do not scrape off stubborn dirt with hard items.
4.2 Cleaning
The inside and outside of the glass milk container, its lid and the mixer attachment should be cleaned after each use. These items can be put in the dishwasher or cleaned using lukewarm water and a small amount of washing-up liquid.
Alternatively, you can use the "Hot milk" function for cleaning purposes. To do this, pur 150 ml water with a drop of dishwashing detergent into the jug with insert which was previously used. Place the lid and start the device. If you do this, rinse the items in lukewarm water afterwards.
Dry all the components thoroughly. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device base.
5 Troubleshooting
This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to operating the device. Observe the following notices to avoid dangers and damages:
5.1 Safety notices

ATTENTION
▶ Repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified person who are trained by the manufacturer.
▶ Repairs performed by untrained persons may result in considerable hazards for the user and damage the machine.
5.2 Troubleshooting table
The table below will help you to locate and solve small problems.
| Error Possible cause Action | ||
| The appliance does not turn on. | Mains plug not plugged in. Plug in the mains plug. | |
| Electronic defect. | Please contact customer support. | |
| The milk burns. | The mixer attachment has not been attached. | Clean the device and attach the correct mixer attachment. |
| Milk does not froth as expected. | The milk container is not clean enough. | Clean the device carefully. |
| The milk is not suitable for frothing. | Use a different milk with a higher fat content or use ‘barista’ style milk. | |
The device beeps 5 times and all the function lights flash.
There is no milk container on the heating plate or the milk container was removed from the heating plate before the process finished.
The device is overheated.
Place the milk container on the heating plate before you start the process and do not remove it from the plate until the process has finished.
Let the device cool down before you start a new process.
PLEASE NOTE
If you cannot solve the problem by carrying out the steps described above, our Customer Service will help you free of charge.
Clean the device before you send it to customer service.
6 Disposal of the Old Device
Old electric and electronic devices frequently still contain valuable materials. However, they also contain damaging substances, which were necessary for their functionality and safety. If these were put in the non-recyclable waste or were handled incorrectly, they could be detrimental to human health and the environment. Therefore, do not put your old device into the non-recyclable waste under any circumstances.

PLEASE NOTE
Utilise the collection point, established in your town, to return and recycle old electric and electronic devices. If necessary, contact your town hall, local refuse collection service or your dealer for information.
▶ Ensure that your old device is stored safely away from children until it is taken away.
6.1 Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device against damages during transit. The packaging materials are selected in accordance with environmentally compatible and recycling-related points of view and can therefore be recycled. Returning the packaging back to the material loop saves raw materials and reduces the

quantities of accumulated waste. Take any packaging materials that are no longer required to "Green Dot" recycling collection points for disposal.
