What types of gas can I use with the Sogo SS-10237 stove?

This appliance is designed to operate with LPG gas (butane or propane) at a pressure of 28-30 mbar for butane and 37 mbar for propane. Use a certified low-pressure regulator (1.5 kg/300 mm SS).

Can I use this cooker indoors?

No, this product is strictly for outdoor use. It must not be used indoors or in enclosed spaces due to the risk of gas and carbon monoxide accumulation.

How do I ignite a burner?

Press the burner knob and turn it counterclockwise to the maximum position. Keep pressed until the electronic igniter produces a spark. Then adjust the flame to the desired height. To turn off, turn the knob clockwise to the off position.

What to do in case of gas smell?

Immediately close the regulator on the gas cylinder. Open all doors and windows for ventilation. Never use a flame to check for leaks. Use a special leak detector spray. If the smell persists, take the appliance to an authorized technical service.

How to clean the cooker?

Allow the appliance to cool completely after use. Clean surfaces with a soft cloth or sponge soaked in warm water and mild detergent (like dish soap). Dry with a dry cloth. Never use abrasive products, scouring powder, sharp objects, or a steam cleaner.

What safety distance should be observed around the appliance?

Ensure that no flammable objects are within one meter of the cooker in all directions. Also keep children and pets away.

Can I use large containers?

Yes, but the flame size should be adjusted so as not to extend beyond the bottom of the container. Always center the container on the burner. Recommended diameters are 12 to 24 cm depending on the position on the grid.

How to check the gas connection for leaks?

Open the regulator and apply a soapy solution to all connections. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Never use a flame for this check. If a leak is detected, turn off the gas and have it repaired by a professional.

What to do if the electronic igniter doesn't work?

Check that the igniter is not wet (protect it from water). If dry but still faulty, contact after-sales service. You can light the burner manually with a lighter or match by turning the knob to the maximum position.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER

Intended use

This product is designed for outdoor use. It is not allowed for commercial use. "CAUTION: This product may be used only for cooking. It should not be used to heat the room or any other purpose."

• Be careful to avoid getting burned by touching the top panel of the gas table as it gets very hot near the burner when in use.
• Do not apply excessive pressure to the gas control knobs. • To avoid damage, do not place charcoal on the burners.
• Do not allow the holes in the burners to become clogged.
• Keep the gas table clean for better service and a longer operation life.
• At night or when leaving the house, be sure to turn off not only the control knobs of the gas table, but also the main gas valve of gas bottle as well.
• For better complete combustion, keep the burners clean.
• Check the rubber gas hose which connect the gas cooker to the gas bottle regularly for wear or leak, it must be replaced occasionally. Keep it away from heat source and keep it clean. • Make sure that there are no inflammable objects near the gas table.
• The cooker must be connected to the cylinder using a rubber hose for LPG in conformity with the regulations of the country in which the cooker is to be used.
• Do not move the stove when using it.
• Keep all ventilation channels unobstructed around them.

• After each use of the product, make sure the pressure-reducing valve is closed. - Do not use sharp or piercing materials to clean the inside and glass of the product; such materials may damage your product. - The hose must be no longer than 1.5 m and should be replaced in accordance with the current legislation in the country of use, and in any case after 4 years of use. • Always use a low-pressure regulator to connect the cooker to the cylinder. This regulator must be with normalized fixed calibration at 28-30 mbar for butane and 37 mbar for propane. - Metal hose clips suitable for gas must be used to secure the hose to the cooker and to the regulator in countries where it is allowed to fix the hose to the actual appliance. - When you smell gas (leakage), close the pressure-reducing valve immediately. - Never use flames to check for gas leaks. Always use a special spray. - Never operate the appliance if the rubber hose is not firmly secured with the recommended clips. - Do not use the appliance if there are leaks, damage, or malfunction. - Ensure objects are positioned at least 1 m from the cooker in all directions. - Do not let pets roam freely in the vicinity of the cooker. - Never leave the cooker lit without supervision. - Never let children approach the cooker. - In the event of malfunction or smell of gas, never check the heater yourself, but take it to the dealers. In any case, close the gas cylinder tap immediately. - Open all doors and windows if there is a smell of gas and DO NOT light a fire or operate any device which may cause a spark. - Protect the electronic ignition system from water. - The electronic igniter will not work if it gets wet. Be careful not to spill water. - This product is not designed for use by any handicapped people, mentally, physically, or sensually, or by any people having no knowledge or experience (including children) unless they are attended by a person who may assume their safety or give directions for use of it. Children must be supervised and must not be allowed to play with the product. - During and after operation of the product, the exposed parts of the product will remain hot until it cools; keep children

away from it.

- CAUTION: During operation of the grill, the accessible parts may be hot. Keep small children away from it.

- It is risky for children below 8 years old to come into contact with the product when they are not attended by an adult person.

- This product may be used by children above 8 years old and/or by any physically, sensually, or mentally handicapped people if they are informed about the risks and proper operation of the product is shown to them.

• Children should not play with the product. Cleaning and maintenance of the product may not be performed by children not supervised by adults.

- Packaging materials may be risky for children. Keep them out of reach of children and dispose of them according to waste instructions.

- If the venturis of your stove become clogged due to food overflow, contact the authorized service center to have the burner unclogged.

- If the product is damaged or has any visible defect, do not operate it.

- Do not perform any repair or modification on the product.

- Do not use the product when your judgment is impaired due to drugs and/or alcohol.

Always call an authorized service center for installation and repair operations. The manufacturing company may not be held responsible for any damage that may arise from operations by unauthorized persons, and the warranty will become invalid as a result.

- Be careful when using alcohol in your food. Alcohol evaporates at high temperatures and, when it comes into contact with hot surfaces, it can ignite and cause a fire risk.

- Do not heat closed tin cans and glass jars.

- Pressure buildup may cause the jar to burst.

- Do not bring flammable materials near the product when it is operating, as its sides may be hot.

• The product and its parts accessible by hand are hot when in use.

• The product may be hot after use. If you must touch it, wear heat-resistant gloves.

Installation

• Install your stove in the sizes shown in the figure. • Make sure the vents are open. • Make sure the place where you install the stove is made of heat-resistant material. Do not place it on plastic and similar materials.

• Make sure the gas installation is proper.
• Preparation of the installation place as well as gas installation is the responsibility of the product. • The rules set forth in the applicable local standards regarding gas should be observed during installation of the product.
• Damaged products may pose danger for your safety. • Any operation on the gas equipment and systems should be performed by authorized and competent persons. The product is not equipped with a system for evacuation of the gases that may form after combustion. • The product should be installed and connected as per the applicable installation regulations. Requirements related to ventilation should be specially observed.

Do not use the cover, gas hose and/or gas control switches to carry or move the product.

Gas Connections

Any operation on the gas equipment and systems should be performed by authorized and competent persons. Prior to installation, make sure the local distribution conditions (gas type and gas pressure) are compliant with the settings of the product.

LPG connection

• Be careful that gas hose and gas-reducing valve you will use for the stove should be reliable. Fix the gas supply hose to the hose nozzle behind the stove and tighten with a hose clamp and screwdriver (Figure 6). Make sure it is tightened well.
• Length of the gas hose of the stove should not be longer than 1500mm.
• Pressure of the gas-reducing valve to be used for LPG should be 1.5 kg/300mm SS and duly certificated.
• Hoses old, cracked, softened, hardened and used more than 2 years should be replaced.
• Hoses for connecting the containers to the equipment should comply with TS1846 standard and should be made of such material as not to be affected by gas.
• Use your stove with 12 kg gas container. Make sure the system does not leak gas prior to use of it.

Gas supply hose should not pass through the hot part at the rear of the stove. Temperature of the gas hose should not exceed 90° C.

Leakage control

Open the gas-reducing valve and control with highly foamed soap water for any gas leakage on the connection you have made.

Never control it with flame.

Preliminary Preparation

First Use

Make sure the requirements set forth in the manual have been fulfilled.

First Cleaning

Some detergents or cleaning agents may damage the surface.

1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Wipe clean the surface of the product with a damp cloth or sponge and then wipe it dry with a cloth.

Description of the Use of the Stove

1: Push and turn anticlockwise the gas stove switch to bring to high flame. 2: Ignite the lighter according to the characteristic of your stove. 3: Bring it to the desired flame position. 4: When the cooking is over, turn the switch clockwise to the high point to cut off the burner.

Size of the container and size of the gas flame should exactly comply with each other. Adjust the gas flame in such a way that it will exceed the base of the container. Put the container on the centre of the pan supporter.

Maintenance and Cleaning

General Information

If the product is regularly cleaned, its service time will be extended and frequently encountered problems will be reduced.

• Hot surfaces may cause burns! Allow the product to cool down before you clean the product.
• The product should be cleaned thoroughly after each use. Thus the food deposits are easily cleaned off and thus such deposits are prevented from burning in the subsequent use of the product.
• No special cleaning agent is required to clean the product. Clean the product with washing liquid, lukewarm water, and a soft cloth or sponge, then wipe it dry.
• Make sure that no liquids remain after the cleaning process, and immediately clean any food splashes during cooking.
• Do not use any cleaning agent containing acid or chlorine to clean the stainless steel or inox surfaces and handle. Clean by wiping in one direction with a soft cloth and a soapy, non-scratching liquid detergent.

Some detergents or cleaning agents may damage the surface. Do not use aggressive detergents, cleaning powder/cream, or sharp objects.

Do not use steam cleaning products for cleaning purposes.

Cleaning of the control panel

• Clean the control panel and control buttons with a damp cloth, then wipe them dry with a dry cloth.
• The control panel may be damaged! Do not remove the control switch to clean the control panel.

Disposal of the product

Destruction of the packaging

Packaging materials are dangerous for children. Keep the packaging materials out of reach of children.

The packaging of the product is made of recyclable materials. Sort them according to waste instructions and dispose of them properly. Do not throw them together with domestic waste.

Future handling operations

• Keep the original carton of the product and carry the product inside this box. Comply with the instructions given on the carton. If the original carton is not available, wrap the product with bubble packaging material or a thick cardboard and band it tightly.
• Band and fix the heads and pan supports tightly.

Do not use the cover or handle to carry or move the product.

Do not put any article on the product. The product should be carried upright.

Control the product visually against any damage that may have occurred during the handling.

Disposal of the old product

• Dispose the old product in such a way not to give any damage to the environment. The product has a symbol (WEEE) on it, indicating that electric and electronic equipment waste should be collected separately.
• You should comply with the Directive 2002/96/EC in order to recycle or divide into part for minimization of its possible effect on the environment. For further details please apply to the local or regional authorities.
• Electronic products not subject to the controlled collection operation would constitute potential risk for both environment and human health due to the harmful materials they contain.
• You may contact your dealer or the garbage collection department of the municipality.

WARRANTY PERIOD:

SOGO provides you 3 years warranty from the date of purchase against any defect due to defective material or workmanship of the product. If the product poses any defect or become defective during this period, SOGO will repair it free of cost (change in certain cases) in any of their own or authorized after-sales service centre.

The warranty does not cover if the product has been used in a wrong way or being used other than its intended use. Failing to follow the SOGO manual guidelines in order to ensure the product and user safety will lead to warranty extinction. Also the warrantee will be invalid, if the product servicing or repair has been done by any service centre other than SOGO'S its own service centres or officially authorized centres.
