• Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.

• Never operate the device with any power cord other than the original one.

• Do not operate in the vicinity of high-frequency electromagnetic transmitters.

• Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

• Keep the power cable and the unit away from heat, hot surfaces, moisture and liquids.

• Never touch the power plug or On/Off button with wet or damp hands or while standing in water.

• Unit components carrying voltage may not come into contact with liquid.

• Do not reach for the unit if it falls into water. Unplug the power cable immediately.

• Connect the unit so that the power plug is freely accessible.

• Always unplug the power plug from the power outlet immediately after use.

• Disconnect the unit from the mains by pulling on the plug. Never pull on the cable!

• Do not lift, pull or turn the unit by the power cable.

for using the unit

• Use the unit only for its intended purpose as according to the instruction manual. In case of misuse the warranty is no longer valid.
• Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not leave the unit unattended while it is connected to the mains.
• Avoid letting the unit come into contact with pointed or sharp objects. Never use pins or other metallic fasteners with this appliance.
• Never place the unit directly next to electric ovens or other heat sources.
• Do not stand on the unit.
• Only use this device in areas with sufficient space and where a good ventilation is guaranteed. Never operate the appliance with the air openings blocked.
• Do not use the massage function for longer than 30 minutes. A too long massage can lead to overstimulation of muscles and to nerve irritations.

ATTENTION Do not move on the chair when the power cable is plugged in. This may damage the cable.

The unit is not intended for household or commercial purposes or for the medical sector. Consult your physician before using the chair if you have health concerns.

Do not use the massage chair in damp spaces (e.g. near bathtub or shower).

• Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight.

• To avoid the risk of electric shock, immediately pull out the plug from the power source:

• if a malfunction occurs during operation

• after each use
• before each cleaning or maintenance.

The chair is maintenance-free.

• In case of malfunction do not repair the unit yourself. This does not only annul the warranty, but can also cause serious danger (fire, electric shock, injury). Only let authorized service points carry out repairs.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Never drop or insert any object into any opening.

• This unit is not intended for use by persons (including children below the age of 14) with restricted physical, sensory or mental abilities, lack of experience and/or lack of knowledge, unless they are supervised by someone responsible for their safety and have received instructions on how to use the unit.

• Do not use this unit as an aid to or a replacement for medical applications. This may exacerbate chronic illness and symptoms.
• Do not treat any areas of the body, which show swellings, burns, inflammations, rashes, wounds or sensitive areas.

• You should refrain from using the device or consult your physician prior to use if:

• you are pregnant,

• you have a pacemaker, artificial joints or electronic implants,

• you suffer from one or more of the following illnesses or medical conditions: circulatory disorder, varicose veins, open wounds, contusions, skin cracks, phlebitis.

• The unit has a hot surface. Persons insensitive to heat must be careful when using the unit.

• Discontinue use and consult your physician if you feel pain or if the massage feels uncomfortable.
• Avoid falling asleep while using the massage chair.

Make sure there are no children, pets or other obstacles behind or underneath the massage chair.

2.1 Please check first of all that the device is complete and items is not damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use supplied it and contact your supplier or your service centre. and packa- qing The following parts are included:

The packaging can be reused or recycled. Please dispose properly of any packaging material no longer required. If you notice any transport damage during unpacking, please contact your supplier without delay.

WARNING

Please ensure that the polythene packing is kept away from her reach of children! Risk of suffocation!

2.2 Setting up the device

• Place the unit so that other objects or walls are at a sufficient distance from the unit (see illustration).
• Place the unit on a mat to prevent damage to the floor.
  Install the unit near a wall outlet.

3 Operating

3.1 Preparation

• Make sure that there are no persons, pets or other objects in the vicinity of the product.
• Before sitting on the product, make sure that there are no foreign objects between two parts of the product.
• Never put your hands, arms or head between the backrest and the back cover.
• Do not place pets on the product (e.g. on the backrest or armrests).

3.2 Power on the device

• Plug the mains cable completely into the mains connection on the device.

• Plug the power plug into a wall outlet.
• Set the on/off switch to the "1" position.

If the electrical connection is interrupted during the massage, massage heads will return immediately to the parking position after being reconnected to the power supply.

3.3 Functions and remote control

After the unit is powered and the On/Off switch is set to position "l", the unit is in sleep mode.

Only a few basic functions are available in this mode.
- The 16 and 17 buttons change the angle of the back section and the leg section of the device.
- Button ⑩ switches the unit on completely.

Overview of all remote control buttons

On/Off button: Press the button once: The button lights up and device is ready.

Now select one of the massage function buttons to start the massage.

Press button again to end all massage functions. The moving parts of the massage chair will then return to their original position.

Demo: Press the Demo button once to run an automatic demonstration of all massage functions. The automatic program combines all types of massage (kneading, tapping, Swedish massage, shiatsu, rolling massage). The demonstration lasts 15 minutes and will be stopped automatically. Press the demo button again at any time to manually stop the program.
Manual (manual selection of massage functions)

Circle through six functions of the button: Kneading, Taping, Swedish massage, Shiatsu, Rolling massage, Stop massage function.
Vibration: Press the button to activate/deactivate the vibration function.

Select the intensity of the vibration with the button 1.

Intensity: Press the button to adjust the intensity of the vibration in several steps.

Point/Partial

Press the button once to preform spot massage at the current point on the back.

Press the button again to switch to partial back massage -

The massage heads move up and down 8cm at the selected point.

Press the button again to stop the function and return to full massage mode.

Back and leg section adjustment: the buttons change the angle of the back section and leg section of the device. Press the respective button once to start the movement, press the button again to stop the movement.

Recline (16): the chair moves towards reclining postion.

Upright (1): the chair moves towards upright position.

3.5 Switching off the device

Press the Power button on the remote control.
All functions are terminated - but the massage heads are still moving to their parking position. Please wait a few seconds.

Then set the on/off switch (position ③) to position "O" and disconnect the device from the power socket.

3.6 Troubleshooting

The device does not work	The device is not plug-ged in properly	Ensure the voltage on the device corre-sponds to the local mains voltage and then plug in again. Make sure the outlet is properly working.
The device stopped working	The device has just finished its auto timer session and has auto-matically switched to standby mode.	If you want another session, press the power button again.
The device stopped working	You may have used the device continuous-ly for 30 minutes where the over-heat protection has been activated.	Unplug the device and let it cool down for 30 minutes before you use it again.
The device stopped working	An excessive load has been applied on the device.	Reduce the excessive load and start again.
The device is abnor-mally warm	The device is likely to be overused.	Unplug the device and let it cool down before using it again.
Noise can be heard from the device	Noise is made by the mechanical parts of the device.	This is normal and does not mean that the device is faulty.

If the problem encountered is not listed, please try the following suggestions:
1. Turn off the product and unplug it.
2. Wait for 30 minutes.
3. Plug the product back to the recommended outlet and restart.
4. If the problem persists, contact the authorized service center.

4.1 Cleaning and maintenance

• Before cleaning the device, make sure that it is turned off and the mains plug is removed from the socket. Allow the unit to cool down. Only clean the Shiatsu massage seat cover with a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild detergent (e.g. soap pads).
• Under no circumstances should you use aggressive detergents, strong brushes, solvents, petrol, thinners or alcohol. These could damage the surface.
• When cleaning, never immerse the unit in water and make sure that no water gets into the unit.
• Wait until the device is completely dry before using it again.
• Do not dry the surface by a hair drier.

4.2 Disposal

This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste. All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner. Consult your local authority or your supplier for information about disposal.

Warranty and repair terms

Please contact your supplier or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty. Please prepare a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is.

The following warranty terms apply:

1. The warranty period for medisana products is 3 years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be corrected free of charge within the warranty period.
3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.
4. The following is excluded under the warranty:

a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer.
d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.

1. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.
