drain cap
Before switching the device to the power supply, make sure that the thermostat knob is switched off, this means, in the "OFF" position. Make sure that the drain cap is closed (it should be at the maximum on the right or left side). Fill the tank with water. Make sure that the maximum water level in the tank stays at or below the "MAX" mark, which can be found on the inner wall of the tank. Cover the tank with the lid and turn the lid clockwise until it is closed. Then insert the power cord into power outlet and set the thermostat as desired.
When water is being heated an orange indicator lamp ("BOLL") is on. As water temperature reaches the pre-set value, the orange indicator lamp goes off and a green indicator lamp ("KEEP WARM") goes on. When the temperature of water in the tank drops, the thermostat goes on automatically and water is re-heated to the pre-set temperature (the green indicator lamp goes off and the orange one goes on). To drain water from the tank, put an appropriate utensil on the drip tray (like a glass or a cup) and turn the tap to the left or right. When the utensil is filled with the desired amount of water, turn the tap again to the left or right.
When the device is not used, switch it off; this means, turn the thermostat to the "OFF" position. To drain water remaining in the tank wait until it has cooled down. Make sure to check the water level when the device is in operation - top up with fresh water when necessary. Please note! Risk of burns! Proceed with extreme caution.
Please note! The device features an overheating detector. It will activate when water evaporates or when water level is below the allowable level and the device is still on. If this happens a protection will trip and switch the device off. In such cases wait until the device cools down then drain water from the tank, turn the device 180^ (upside down) and press the reset button (marked as "Reset button"). Now the device can be used again.
Please note! When the thermostat knob is set in the "HIGH" position, the device will work continuously (water will boil all the time)! This device is not designed for continuous operation!
Assembly / disassembly of the device's elements:
Assemble all device components before turning it on. To attach the drip tray to the device place the drip tray strainer in the base and fix the base on the two fasteners.
