3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• Cecotec will not assume any responsibility resulting from product misuse or from not complying with traffic regulations and with this instruction manual.
• This electric scooter is not a toy. Use it with competence, attention and respect for others and yourself.
• Check local current regulations on the use of these kind of products before riding it and make sure to comply with local traffic regulations. Drive in a civilized way and pay attention to people and obstacles around in order to avoid accidents.
  • Always use the recommended clothing, helmet (fastened), glasses, gloves, shoes, knee pads and elbow pads suitable for this use.
• The vehicle measures must be proportional to the user. The person riding it must be able to place both feet easily on the ground while sitting on the saddle.
• When stopping or parking the vehicle, make sure to do it on a flat and safe surface.
  • The maximum load allowed by the product is 110 kg.
• It is not allowed to use the product with more than 1 person at a time.
  • The misuse of the product or the non-compliance of this instruction manual can cause serious injury or even death.
• For any serious reparation not described in this manual, contact the Technical Support Service of Cecotec. Do not try to repair the product by yourself.
• Do not leave the battery near fire or near heat sources. Avoid using defective batteries.
• Do not sit or allow anyone to sit on the product while it is stopped.
• Do not ride the vehicle at night.

ENGLISHENGLISH

- If the user that is going to use the product is not familiar with riding this type of vehicles, it is recommended that an adult teaches before first use:

1. Acceleration.
2. Deceleration.
3. Braking.

4. Basic riding principles.

5. Before each use, check the brakes, the pressure and condition of the tires and the throttle. If any unusual noise or fault is detected, do not use the product and contact the Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

6. Any alteration of the product is not allowed, as this can change its performance or damage its structure causing injuries.
   • Make sure to turn off the product before parking it.
7. Do not ride the vehicle under rain, snow or wet conditions.
8. Avoid the vehicle's electric parts from getting into contact with water or other liquids. Avoid riding it near rivers or lakes.
9. Supervise young children to make sure that they do not play with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.

DRIVING CONDUCT INSTRUCTIONS

• Do not use the phone or listen to music while riding the scooter.
• Only drive when there is enough light as to do it safely. Do not drive at night.
• Drive always holding the handlebar with both hands.
• While driving, your feet must always be comfortably and solidly placed on the board.
• Do not distract during the ride, always look ahead.
  • Always ride at a speed as to allow you to stop safely.
• Start braking at enough distance from obstacles, curves and from areas where the type of floor changes. Remember to release the throttle before braking.
• Do not race other drivers.
• A minimum safety distance of 5 m should be kept from other vehicles.

4. PRODUCT ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT

NOTE: The vehicle is shipped folded.

UNFOLDING THE SCOOTER'S STEM:

1. Make sure the device is completely turned off.
2. Pull up the stem up and release the stem from the rear mudguard.
3. Raise the stem, place the folding tab in a close position and lower the fixing ring to hold the tab.

FOLDING THE SCOOTER'S STEM:

1. Slide up the fixing ring.
2. Open the folding tab.
3. Lower the folding tab and then the stem.
4. Align the closing hook with the gap on the rear fender.

SCOOTER ASSEMBLY:

1. Fix the scooter stem and lock the folding lab. Then, lower the fixing ring and ensure the tab is safely fixed.

1. Install the handlebar on the stem.

1. Use the hexagonal wrench in the tool kit to tighten the 4 bolts.

1. Turn the scooter on and test it carefully before riding it.

ADJUSTING BRAKES:

The brakes require periodic adjustment.

1. The brake must be at a 5 or 6-mm distance from the handlebar grip.
2. Place yourself on the vehicle to verify the distance between the handlebar grip and the brake.
3. If you feel the brake is too tight or loose, use the M4 hexagonal wrench to adjust it.
4. If it is too tight, shorten the brake line upward. If it is too loose, pull the brake cord down. After adjusting it, tighten the nut.

Note: After each adjustment, tighten the locknut.

ADJUSTING THE HANDLEBAR AND STEM:

Use the M5 inner hexagonal wrench to adjust the handlebar and stem in order to avoid the device from shaking.

INFLATING TYRES:

Note: Before using the scooter for the first time, make sure the tyres's pressure is correct. The optimum pressure is 3.5 Pa.

If a tyre is found to be short of air, use the extendible inflating nozzle to inflate them. Unscrew the cap of the tyre's nozzle, then connect one end of the extendible inflating nozzle to the tyre's inflating nozzle the other end to a pressure gauge or inflator to inflate it.

5. OPERATION

• Power: Hold down the power button for a few seconds to turn the scooter on or off.
  • Light: Press the power button once to turn the lights on or off.
• Made: Press the power button twice to switch between the different modes.
  • The scooter has 3 different modes:

- ECO

- CONFORT

SPORT

• Throttle: Use it to start the scooter and to accelerate.
• Brake: Hold it down to stop.

Note: The back light will blink when using the brakes.

ACCESSING AND ACTIVATING THE BATTERY AND ENGINE

The battery and engine are already installed and connected. To access to any of these, lift the board. To activate the electric circuit, insert the connector.

Warning:

• Keep batteries and battery packs out of the reach of children and animals, they could result of great danger if swallowed. In case of indigestion, please consult your doctor immediately.
• If any damage, crack or defect is observed, avoid direct contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If liquid leaked from the batteries comes into contact with eyes, rinse them with abundant water. Consult your doctor immediately.

CHARGING

1. Lift the board.
2. Connect the charger to the charging port.
3. Once it is fully charged, place the board back in place.

Note:

• The device comes already charged, but it is recommended to charge it for 6-8 hours before the first use.
• It is also recommended to charge it after each use and before storing it.
  • To avoid the battery from damaging, do not allow the vehicle to fully discharge.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CLEANING:

• Clean the vehicle with a soft cloth, water and soap if necessary.
  • After cleaning, dry thoroughly any metal parts subject to corrosion, oxidation, etc.
• Do not use Alcohol, gasoline, kerosene or other corrosive or chemical solvents.
• Do not clean the device with high-pressure water.
• Make sure the charging cable has been pulled out and the rubber cover of the charging port is tightly fastened, otherwise electric shock or serious failure may occur.

OVERALL MAINTENANCE :

• Maintenance should always be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Always use spare parts provided by Cecotec.
• Any type of reparation must be carried out with the vehicle on the stand and turned off.
• If the scooter is not going to be used for a while, store it indoors in a dry and shady place. Avoid long-term outdoor storage.
• Sunshine exposure, overheating and overcooling will accelerate the appearance of damage signs and will reduce the service life of the electric scooter and its battery.

BATTERY MAINTENANCE AND TREATMENT:

• Do not use battery packs of other models or brands, otherwise there may be safety risks.
• It is forbidden to touch the battery contacts and to dismantle or puncture the shell. Avoid short circuit caused by metal contact with battery contacts.
• Only the original charger can be used for charging, otherwise there is danger of fire.
  • After each use, please charge the battery before storing the electric vehicle, which is conducive to prolonging the battery life.
• Do not place the battery at temperatures above 50 °C or below -20 °C.

CHECKS TO BE CARRIED:

• After a fall, check that the throttle push button/trigger operates correctly. To do so, try to accelerate and decelerate a few times.
- From time to time, check that the brakes operate properly. To do so, move the vehicle pushing it manually and brake suddenly to ensure they respond.
- Check all the parts of the vehicle are in place and securely assembled.
- Check the wear of the tyres and their pressure.
- Check the wear of the brakes and the throttle cables.

1. TROUBLESHOOTING

ERROR CAUSE SOLUTION
The engine does not work.	The battery is not connected.	Check the connectors.

The engine switches off during use.	The break of the circuit is tripped.	Release the throttle and wait until it cools down.

	The battery is old or does not work properly.	Replace the battery.

9. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately,

in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.

The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built-in battery or uses batteries, they should be removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately.

Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

10. TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.

The warranty will not cover the following situations:

• The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
• The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
• Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.
• The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
