1. Safety of use

-INTENDED USE-

This device is intended for private use and may not be used for commercial purposes. The device is designed to measure blood pressure (systolic and diastolic) as well as heart rate. Memory capacity allows to save up to 199 test results for each of the two users. Voice messages allow for easier operation even for people with sight problems. The blood pressure measured by this product is equivalent to that measured by auscultation of an artery. The device can be used even when the pulse is irregular, i.e. it differs by 25% from the average detected during the measurement. If the instrument detects an irregular pulse and a blinking symbol appears on the display, it is recommended to see a doctor. This device is designed to monitor blood pressure and pulse rate of adults in a domestic environment.

What is blood pressure?

Arterial pressure is the pressure exerted by the flowing blood on the arterial

walls. Systolic blood pressure occurs when the heart contracts and the blood is pumped into the veins. Diastolic pressure when the blood returns to the heart. Blood pressure is measured in manometric unit of pressure - millimetres of mercury (mmHg).

What is hypertension and how to control it?

Hypertension is an extremely high blood pressure. Blood pressure should be checked regularly to detect hypertension as early as possible, as disregarding this can lead to serious illnesses such as heart attacks and strokes. To prevent or reduce the hypertension:

o do not smoke
- avoid stress
- maintain correct

weight

- exercise regularly

○ reduce consumption of salt and fats

Why is it worth to measure blood pressure at home?

Pressure measurement in a hospital or doctor's office may cause anxiety (the so-called white coat syndrome) and affect the increase in pressure by up to 25-30 mmHg. Measurement at home reduces all external factors.

Read the entire user manual carefully before use. Keep it for future reference.

TAKING A MEASUREMENT

Huslog AOJ-30C - TAKING A MEASUREMENT - 1

Immediately before the pressure measurement, we recommend that you do not eat, drink, smoke or exercise. Sit down and relax for about

10 minutes before the test.

Huslog AOJ-30C - TAKING A MEASUREMENT - 2

Remove clothing tightly adjacent to the arm on which the cuff is to be worn. In order to maintain the same measurement conditions, to

compare values, the cuff must be worn over the same arm. We recommend that you take measurements on your left shoulder at the same time of day, if possible.

Huslog AOJ-30C - TAKING A MEASUREMENT - 3

Prior to measurement, the cuff on the arm in which the muscles are relaxed should be carefully adjusted. Incorrectly adjusted and fastened cuffs may cause an incorrect measurement.

Huslog AOJ-30C - TAKING A MEASUREMENT - 4

If the measurement is to be repeated, wait 2-3 minutes between them. It is best to remove the cuff and lift the arm so that the amount

of blood and its flow in the arm can normalize. The measurement results may be incorrect otherwise.

Huslog AOJ-30C - Blood pressure monitor - 1

If it is not possible to adjust the cuff on the left upper arm, it can be placed on the right upper arm as well. However, all measurements shall be made on the same arm.

Huslog AOJ-30C - Blood pressure monitor - 2

Measurement results may be influenced by the measurement site, patient position, exercise, or physiological condition of the patient.

Huslog AOJ-30C - Blood pressure monitor - 3

Too frequent measurements can cause injury to the patient due to blood flow interference. Placing the cuff over a wound may cause further injury.

text_image 2-3 cm
  1. Make sure the lower edge of the cuff is about 2-3 cm above the elbow and that the tube is on the inside of the arm.

  2. Wrap the cuff firmly in place around your arm using the cloth fastener as shown in the previous illustration. Air tube coming out of the cuff should be located above the brachial artery (\~3cm long strap), on the inside of the arm.

  3. There should be no space between the cuff and arm, as this may affect the readings. Rolled up sleeves must not press down on the shoulder and must therefore be rolled up or removed. The adjustable cuff size allows it to be applied to an arm circumference of 22 to 42 cm.

  4. Secure the cuff with Velcro so that it is comfortable and not too tight. Remember to sit comfortably with your legs uncrossed and feet flat on the floor, back and arm supported. Lay your arm on the table (palm up) with the centre of the cuff on the same height as the right atrium of your heart as shown in the figure below

  1. Make sure that the air tube is not bent or pressed.

  2. Stay in this position for five minutes before starting the measurement.

MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE

Once the cuff is properly attached to your arm, you can start measuring your blood pressure. After performing the correct measurement, the result

EN © 2024 huslog All rights reserved

Blood pressure monitor

will be saved automatically. The device's memory can store a maximum of 199 results for two different users. The memory for users 1 and 2 is selected before starting the measurement, when the device is turned off, by pressing the button as many times as necessary to select the appropriate memory.

Press the button. All symbols on the display will turn on for 1 second. The measurement will start automatically. The display will show an increasing pressure value until the maximum cuff inflation value is reached.

Once the band begins to deflate, the symbol will flash to indicate that your heart rate has been detected.

ATTENTION! If you feel great discomfort when inflating the cuff, immediately unfasten and remove the cuff and turn the device off by pressing the button.

The icon visible on the display during measurement means that the cuff has been applied correctly. When the icon is visible, the cuff is too loose. After the measurement is completed correctly, the screen will display the values (looking from the top) of systolic (SYS), diastolic (DIA) and heart rate (PUL). The result of a correct measurement will be saved in the memory set for a given user.

When the user does not sit still during the measurement (moves the entire body or the hand on which the cuff is placed), the symbol may appear on the screen. This means that the measurement is incorrect and should be repeated. We recommend resting for at least 3 minutes and repeating the measurement.

If the measurement shows irregular heartbeat, the symbol will be displayed. Irregular heart rhythm is a condition in which the heart rate is 25% slower or faster than the average heart rate that was measured when measuring systolic and diastolic blood pressure. We recommend resting for at least 3 minutes and repeating the measurement. If the symbol appears again, please consult your doctor.

Once you have finished measuring, remove the cuff. Turn off the device with the ⏻ button. You can also leave the device on and it will turn off automatically after a minute.

Each measurement is automatically saved in the device's memory. When the memory is full, the oldest measurement will be overwritten.

VIEWING THE RESULTS SAVED IN THE DEVICE MEMORY

The device's memory can store 199 measurement results for two users. Saved results can be viewed. To do this, press the button with the device turned off. The average value of the stored measurements for the selected user will be displayed on the screen. Pressing the button again will show the measurement results, starting with the most recent one.

Pressing and holding the button for approximately 3 seconds while viewing the measurement memory will clear the device's memory. After finishing browsing, turn off the device by pressing the button.

ADDITIONAL SETTINGS

To set the measurement unit in which the result is to be presented, press and hold the button for about 10 seconds. By pressing the button you switch between measurement units - mmHg and kPa. Confirm your selection by pressing the button.

Holding the 🔒 button for about 3 seconds activates the settings menu, where you can change the date, time and turn the sound on or off.
