This appliance is intended for domestic and similar use, as described in this user guide. Please ensure that this guide is fully understood before operating the appliance.
WARNING To eliminate suffocation hazard for young children, discard all packaging materials immediately after removing the product.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Keep children under 8 years of age away from the appliance and connecting cable and do not allow them to use the appliance. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
Only use the appliance indoors and at altitudes not exceeding 2000m above sea level.
If the power cord is damaged stop using the appliance immediately. To avoid a safety hazard, an authorised Haier service engineer must replace the power cord. Use only attachments, consumables or spares recommended or supplied by Haier.
Only use the appliance in accordance with the power specification on the rating plate.
This appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet in your house is well earthed.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

Follow the operation guide to position the lid so that steam is directed away from the handle.
To avoid scalding from steam, do not open the lid or reach across the top of the spout when the water is boiling.
Unplug from the socket after use and before cleaning the appliance or any maintenance task.
Allow the appliance to cool down before removing any parts and before cleaning.
Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle too fast.
Be careful when opening the lid for refilling when the kettle is hot.

2. Getting to know your Kettle

3. Before first use
- Remove all parts and accessories from the package and read this manual carefully.
- Pay attention to safety instructions, warnings and important notes to prevent any injury or damage.
- Release the required amount of cable from the cable tidy and plug the appliance into a socket.
- Fill the kettle to Max 1.7L with water.
- Press the On/Off power button, set the temperature to 100°C.
- On completion of the heating cycle discard the water, your kettle is clean and ready for use.
WARNING:
- Use the kettle only with the base provided.
- Only fill the kettle with water: milk and instant beverages will burn and damage the appliance. RISK OF SCALDING!
Observe the min and max markings, if the kettle is too full, the water will boil over!
- Boil dry protection: do not turn on the appliance if the kettle is empty, the overheat control will engage and the appliance will switch off automatically.
- Use the kettle only while the lid is closed and the limescale filter is in place.
4. Using your Kettle
HEATING WATER
- Remove the kettle from the base [1] and remove the lid. [2]
- Fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water reading the water gauge inside of kettle body. [3] Always fill between the min 250ml and max 1.7L level (1 Cup=250ml).
NOTE: Featuring with One-Cup-Safetechology, your kettle is reassured that heating up a minimum amount of 250ml water is safe.
- Refit the lid to the kettle body ensuring it is locked in place. [4]
- Place the kettle onto the base. [5,6]
- Press the ON/OFF button on the kettle base. [7] The temperature indicator panel will illuminate from 20°C through 100°C on the Base control panel, it will then remain illuminated on 20°C when ready to be set.
- Select the desired temperature on the control panel by pressing the - / + buttons. The selected temperature indicator will illuminate with and you will hear 2 audible beeps, the heating process will automatically start. [8]
40°C - Baby Drink
70°C 80°C 85°C & 90°C - Specialty Tea 95°C - Coffee
100°C - Boil water
WARNING: Please do not fill the kettle with milk or prepare baby milk in the kettle.
NOTE: The individual temperature indicators will flash then remain illuminated as the temperature rises during the heat cycle until the desired temperature is reached.
IMPORTANT: The desired temperature can be changed at any time during the heating process.
If the water is hotter than the new desired temperature, then it must be allowed to cool down to the lower temperature before being used.
The individual temperature indicators will flash then go off as the temperature
reduces in the cooling cycle to the desired temperature.
- When the water has reached the selected temperature, you will hear 3 audible beeps. [9] After 15 seconds, the temperature indicator lights will turn off automatically and your appliance will go into standby mode.
- Carefully remove the kettle from the base and pour your water. [10]
- Return the kettle to the base.
NOTE: If the appliance remains connected to the power source, the previously used temperature setting will be saved for next use.
KEEP WARM FUNCTION
Your product is fitted with a keep warm function, this will maintain the water at the desired temperature for up to 30 minutes after the heating cycle is complete.
- The keep warm function can be turned on during heating or within 15 seconds immediately after.
- Press the keep warm button, the indicator will illuminate and the function is activated. [11]
- To turn off this function, press the keep warm button again; the indicator light will turn off and the function is deactivated. [11]
IMPORTANT: The appliance will go into standby mode automatically after 30 minutes of keep warm.
STANDBY MODE
After the heating cycle or keep warm cycle, without any operation for 15 seconds, the kettle will turn to standby mode automatically, and only the ON/OFF indicator will be illuminated.
The kettle will automatically power off after 10 minutes of further inactivity.
MUTE FUNCTION
Your product is fitted with a mute function; this will turn off all acoustic sounds from the appliance.
- The mute function can be turned on by pressing and holding the keep warm button for 3 seconds.
- To turn off this function, press and hold the keep warm button again for 3 seconds, and the function is deactivated.
5. Cleaning & Maintenance
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before performing maintenance tasks.
WARNING:
- Never immerse the device in water or place it in a dishwasher.
- Do not steam-clean the appliance.
Cleaning
- Clean the outside of the kettle and base with a damp cloth.
- Do not use strong or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Remove the limescale filter, soak it in a little vinegar, then rinse clean with clean water.
- To refit the filter, slide into place, until it snaps into location.
Descaling
Regular descaling will make your kettle last longer, ensure proper functionality and will save energy. The ideal frequency to descale depends on water hardness.
We recommend to use Care Plus Protect Professional Kettle Descaler.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and frequency.
Descaling the kettle with vinegar:
- Fill the kettle with water up to the 1.7L mark and bring to a boil.
- Add a small amount of white vinegar and let it sit for several hours.
- Rinse the kettle and the limescale filter with clear water.
Important: never use hard objects to remove limescale residue as this will damage the seal.
6. Troubleshooting
The kettle does not heat to the desired temperature and the temperature indicators on the base control panel are not illuminated.
- The overheat control has tripped during dry heating (not enough water).
- Let the kettle cool down (approximately 12 mins), remove the kettle from the base and fill with cold water.
The base unit switches off before the heating cycle is complete.
- The kettle contains too much scale.
- Descale the kettle as per the instructions.
The kettle 'beeps' and all lights flash 5 times.
- The kettle temperature sensor is not working.
- Restart the appliance to attempt reset.
- If problem persists after reset, unplug the appliance from the power outlet and contact Customer Service.

KEEP WARM FUNCTION
