3. OPERATION

Filling up the water tank

  • Make sure that the iron is switched off and that the power cord is unplugged from the mains.
  • Move the steam adjustment lever to the "0" position before filling up the tank.
  • Open the water tank cover and fill the tank up to the "MAX" line.
  • The water level can be observed through the see-through part of the tank with the iron placed upright.
  • Drain the remaining water after using the iron.

Note:

  • Whenever you fill or empty the water tank, you must do so with the iron unplugged from the mains.
  • Do not use additives or add other liquids such as perfume, vinegar, starch, condensed water from dryers or air conditioning systems, or chemicals, as this may damage the iron.
  • Thisiron.is designed to work with tap water. However, to ensure optimal performance for longer, you can mix tap water with distilled water in a 1:1 ratio. If water in your area is very hard, the mixture of tap water and distilled water should be in a 1:2 ratio.

Dry ironing

  • Place the iron upright.
  • Plug the cord into a power outlet.
  • Turn the temperature adjustment knob to the "MIN" position.
  • A red indicator light will turn on.
  • Wait until the indicator light turns green: this means that the set temperature has been reached.
  • You can now proceed to dry ironing.

Using the spray

  • Before using the spray function, check for ironing instructions on the fabric label to avoid stains.
  • The spray function is especially useful for removing stubborn creases and when more humidification is needed. The spray can be used with steam or dry ironing. Simply press the spray button when you want to spray water on the fabric.

Steam ironing

  • Fill up the iron as explained in the section "Filling up the water tank".
  • Place the iron upright and turn the temperature adjustment knob to the steam position.
  • Plug the cord into a power outlet.
  • Turn the temperature adjustment knob to the steam position. Steam ironing is only possible

at the highest temperature settings indicated by the "MAX" mark, otherwise water will drip from the soleplate.

  • A red indicator light will turn on.
  • Wait until the indicator light turns green: this means that the set temperature has been reached.
  • Move the steam adjustment lever to the setting most suitable for the fabric to be ironed.
  • You can now proceed to steam ironing.

Using the steam shot

  • The steam shot function provides additional steam to remove stubborn creases. It can be used with both dry and steam ironing.
  • Press the steam-shot button to release a steam shot. It may be necessary to press the button several times to activate the surge system. Wait a few seconds for steam to penetrate the fabric before pressing the button again for more steam.
Synthetics, nylon, acrylics, polyester, rayon.
●●ilk, wool.
●●●otton, linen.

Note:
For optimal steam quality, do not apply more than three consecutive steam shots after the indicator light turns green.

After each use

  1. Turn off and unplug the iron.
  2. Empty the tank immediately after use. Do not store the iron with water in it.
  3. Wait until the iron has cooled down before storing it, and always place it on the base to protect the soleplate from scratches, corrosion, or stains.
  4. After allowing the iron to cool down completely, store it upright in a safe place.

Anti-drip function

This system controls the water flow emitted to the soleplate at all times. Above a certain temperature, the anti-drip function cuts off the water flow and prevents the soleplate from dripping water onto the garments.

Automatic shut-off function

  • The iron will automatically switch off if it remains stationary in horizontal position for 30 seconds, or in vertical position for 8 minutes.
  • To indicate that the iron has been switched off, the appliance will beep 6 times and the automatic switch-off indicator light will start flashing.
  • The iron can take up to 45-60 minutes to completely cool down.

ENGLISH

To reheat the iron:

  1. Lift the iron or move it slightly.
  2. The indicator light will stop flashing.
  3. The automatic switch-off indicator will light up and the iron will be ready for use.

WARNING:

Never use steam-iron cleaners on the iron, as they may damage it.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Exterior iron surface

  • After unplugging and allowing the iron to cool down, simply wipe it with a damp cloth and, if necessary, use a mild detergent.
  • Never use aggressive detergents.

Soleplate

  • Starch and other types of residue can be easily removed from the soleplate with a damp cloth.
  • To avoid scratching the finish, never use a metal scouring pad to clean the soleplate or place the iron on a rough surface. If synthetic fabrics are ironed at too high a temperature, not only can the fabric be damaged, but it's possible for the iron soleplate to be covered with the synthetic fabric's melted residue. The best way to remove synthetic residues from the soleplate is to heat up the iron and iron an old cotton cloth.

Anti-scale function

  • The anti-scale function is a permanent system inside the water tank used to remove impurities from the water and reduce problems caused by limescale build-up.
  • To extend the efficiency of the system, occasionally follow these steps:

  • After using the iron, unplug it and allow it to cool down.

  • Fill the water tank up to 3/4.
  • Leave the solution in the water tank for 15 minutes, shake the iron from time to time, and then empty it.
  • Fill the water tank a second time with water, shake occasionally, and empty it again after 15 minutes.
  • Fill the tank with water for rinsing and empty it.

Auto-clean function

IMPORTANT:

Your iron will give the best ironing results and last longer by auto-cleaning once a month or

more depending on usage.

  1. Fill the water tank halfway with water.
  2. Place the iron on the base.
  3. Turn the temperature adjustment knob to the "MAX" position.
  4. Plug the cord into a power outlet.
  5. Allow the iron to heat up until the indicator light turns off.
  6. Unplug the iron from the socket.
  7. Hold the iron horizontally over the sink.
  8. Hold down the auto-clean button: hot water and steam will come out of the holes in the soleplate.
  9. Move the iron forwards and backwards; keep letting steam and water out until the water tank is empty.
  10. Turn the steam knob to the "0" position.
  11. Plug the iron.
  12. Turn the temperature adjustment knob to the "MAX" position and let the iron heat up again: the rest of the water inside the tank will vaporise and come out of the iron through the soleplate.
  13. During this dry steaming process, it is advisable to use a piece of old cloth.
