How to install the driver for the CSL 300657 sound card?

Insert the supplied driver CD into the drive. Open the CM6206-1.03(CR) folder and run Setup.exe. Confirm the security prompts, then restart the computer. The driver is installed.

The sound card is not recognized by Windows, what should I do?

Check that the driver is correctly installed. Try a different USB port. Make sure the operating system is Windows 7 or later. Restart the computer.

Can I use this sound card with a Mac?

No, the sound card is Windows compatible only (7/8/8.1/10/11). It is not supported on macOS.

How to connect 5.1 speakers?

Connect the front speakers to the FRONT L/R jacks, the side speakers to the SIDE L/R jacks, the rear speakers to the REAR L/R jacks, and the subwoofer as well as the center speaker to the C/SUB jacks.

Why is there no sound?

Check that the mute is not activated. Make sure the speakers are connected correctly. Check the volume in the 'USB Multi-Channel Audio Device' software.

The microphone is not working, how to configure it?

Connect the microphone to one of the Mic 1 or Mic 2 jacks. Make sure that the microphone mute is not activated. In Windows sound settings, select the sound card as the default recording device.

Can I use the optical output (Toslink)?

Yes, the Toslink (SPDIF-OUT) output allows connecting an amplifier or digital audio headset. Use the supplied Toslink cable.

How to mute the microphone?

Press the Microphone Mute button on the sound card. The corresponding LED lights up to indicate that the microphone is muted.

The LED is not lighting up, is this normal?

The operating status LED lights up when the sound card is powered via USB. If it does not light up, check the USB connection and try another port. If the problem persists, the product may be defective.

Where can I find the drivers if I lost the CD?

4. Start-up

When the device is put into operation for the first time, check the intactness of the product or components and their function again. Take the sound card from its packaging and connect it to a USB 2.0 interface (or higher) using the enclosed USB connection cable. The sound card offers you numerous connection options for analogue and digital audio devices. The assignment of the individual connections is listed above. Before each use, check it for possible damage and correct assembly.

5. Installing driver

The driver has to be installed from the driver CD supplied to enable you to use the full functional scope of the sound card.

Put the driver CD in your drive and close it again. The CD will open automatically. The contents of the CD will be displayed if you click on "Open folder to display files".

The driver is in a sub-folder on the CD. Go to the folder marked "CM6206-1.03(CR)" and call up "Setup.exe".

A security question will appear to which you must answer "Yes".

Installation will now start automatically. Click on "Finish" to complete the installation.

The card is ready to use after a re-start.

You can now set up your personal configuration using the "USB Multi-Channel Audio Device" software which you will find near the task bar next to the system clock.
