6 O p e r a t i o n

6.1 Before first use

6.3 Switching on

DOMETIC RH429 LDAG - Switching on - 1

WARNING! Suffocation hazard

If children climb into unused minibars and close the door behind them, they can suffocate inside the device.

If you are not going to use the minibar for a long time, take the following precautionary steps:

  • Remove the door.
  • Leave the shelves in place so that children cannot easily climb inside.

DOMETIC RH429 LDAG - WARNING! Suffocation hazard - 1

NOTICE! Damage hazard

  • Ensure that the objects placed in the minibar are suitable for cooling to the selected temperature.
  • Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not excessively refrigerated. Liquids expand when they freeze and can therefore destroy the glass containers.
  • Ensure that your minibar is well ventilated so that any heat created can dissipate. Otherwise proper functioning cannot be ensured. It is especially important not to cover the air vents.

DOMETIC RH429 LDAG - NOTICE! Damage hazard - 1

NOTE

  • The empty minibar needs about 6 to 7 hours at normal ambient temperature to reach the proper temperature in the interior.
  • A few water drops may form inside the minibar if it has been cooling for a lengthy period. This is normal because the moisture in the air condenses to water when the temperature in the minibar falls. The minibar is not defective. Wipe it out with a dry cloth if necessary.

  • Place the minibar on a firm base.

  • Connect the connection cable to the AC mains supply.

√ The minibar performs a self test. After approx. 10 seconds the interior light (fig. 1 3, page 3) illuminates for 2 seconds. In case of a failure the interior light changes to a constant flashing.

√ The minibar starts cooling the interior.

6.4 Setting the temperature

To avoid food waste, note the following:

  • Keep temperature fluctuation as low as possible. Only open the minibar as often and for as long as necessary. Store the foodstuff in such a way that the air can still circulate well.
  • The minibar is equipped with an automatic temperature regulation function. Select the average of the possible temperature values.
  • Adjust the temperature to the quantity and type of the foodstuff.

The minibar is equipped with an automatic temperature regulation function. With the optional remote control (fig. 10, page 6) you can adjust the temperature to four different levels using two buttons (on the remote control).

With each press of the buttons on the remote control, the cooling temperature switches between the possible values. By pressing a button, a red LED illuminates on the remote control.

DOMETIC RH429 LDAG - Setting the temperature - 1
