4. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
A. BEFORE USE
We recommend that you charge your electric wine opener for at least eight hours before using for the first time. Please follow the instructions for charging as stated below:
B. CHARGING YOUR WINE OPENER
Plug the adapter into the back of the charging base and the plug into an electrical outlet. The red power indicator light will illuminate. Place the wine opener into the charging base, making sure that it is firmly in position and that it is fully engaged. The green charge indicator light will flash, indicating that the unit is charging. It will take approximately 6–8 hours to recharge your wine opener. When your wine opener is fully charged, the green light will stop flashing and become a solid green light. Your wine opener can open approximately 80 bottles of wine on a full charge.
C. FOIL CUTTER
For your convenience, this unit has a foil cutter, which is stored in the base of the unit. Before removing the cork, you must remove any foil from the bottle. Attach the foil cutter to the top of the wine bottle. Keep your hand on the lower part of the bottle and turn the foil cutter in a twisting motion to remove the foil (see Fig. 1). The top part of the cork surface will now be exposed.
CAUTION: The blade on the foil cutter is sharp. Please keep fingers away from the cutter's sharp edges.
D. TO OPERATE YOUR WINE OPENER
- Place your bottle of wine on a flat surface and hold the bottle firmly with one hand.
- Place the wine opener on top of the wine bottle making sure that it remains as straight/upright as possible at all times (see Fig. 2). If you hold the wine opener at an angle to the bottle, it will not remove the cork properly.
- Hold the wine opener firmly and press the lower part of the switch indicated by the down arrow. The corkscrew spiral will turn in a anticlockwise direction and enter the cork, then gradually remove it from the bottle. When the mechanism has stopped, the cork has been fully removed from the bottle.
- Lift the wine opener up and away from the bottle. To remove the cork, press the upper part of the switch indicated by the up arrow. The spiral will turn in a clockwise direction and release the cork (see Fig. 3).
- After use, we recommend that you return your appliance to the charging base so that it is fully charged and available for use at any time.
E. USING THE VACUUM SEALER
- Place the vacuum sealer on top of the opened wine bottle.
- Press down on the top of the pump approximately 20 times or until you feel resistance.
- The top of the vacuum sealer is numbered 1-31 to represent days of the month. Twist the top of the vacuum sealer to the appropriate number to mark the seal date.
NOTE: The wine bottle with vacuum sealer must be stored in an upright position. Failure to do so may result in wine leaking from the bottle.
- To remove the vacuum sealer from wine bottle, simply pull straight up.

Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
To clean the housing, wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
Never immerse the power adapter, charging base or housing in water or any other liquids.
