Precautions for Use

- UV-C radiation is harmful when your eyes and skin are exposed to them. The rays can attribute to cataracts, eye inflammation, premature macular degeneration, blindness and skin cancer.

Precautions for Use

- Do not wash the UV streamer air purifier unit with water. Doing so may result in electric shock or fire due to short circuit.
- Ventilate the room frequently when using together with a burning appliance. Running this unit is not a substitute for ventilation. (Cause of carbon monoxide poisoning) This unit cannot remove carbon monoxide.
- Be careful of your scaffolding when working at height. Unstable scaffolding may result in injury due to falling or tipping over.
- To clean the outer surface of the unit, wipe with a soft, dry cloth, and do not use thinner or benzine. Failure to do so may result in cracking, discolouration, or malfunction.

UV UNIT Regarding the Deep Ultraviolet (UVC) LED
This product is equipped with a deep ultraviolet (UVC) LED to purify air.
The deep ultraviolet (UVC) LED is harmful to your eyes and skin. Accidental use or emission due to the damage of the Unit can harm your eyes and skin. Especially for those with photosensitivity, symptoms may appear even for a short exposure. If you feel unwell, consult a doctor.
- Do not run the unit with the protective net, pleated filter or other parts removed. Deep ultraviolet rays may leak and cause harm to your eyes and skin.
- Do not run the unit if it is damaged or found visible damage on the outside of the unit. Deep ultraviolet rays may leak and cause harm to your eyes and skin.

- Places exposed to sulphurous gas such as hot spring areas.
- Places full of acid or alkaline vapour.

- Places where UV detectors are installed.
- Smoke-filled places such as smoking rooms.
- Places with hot and humid environment.
- Places that require a high ceiling mode setting and 2/3 way blow mode setting of the indoor unit.
Regarding the electrical work
- Qualification is necessary to carry out electrical work. Do not attempt to do such work yourself, but make a request to your dealer.
- Are you using a dedicated circuit for your air conditioner? Failure to do so may result in heat generation, fire, or malfunction.
- The replacement of damaged wiring must be performed only by a qualified person.
To prevent danger, do not attempt to perform rewiring by yourself, but make a request to your dealer.
- The Unit must be shut down and turn off the breaker before checking the unit.

■ The UV streamer air purifier unit does not come with a remote controller. The UV streamer air purifier unit purifies air while the indoor unit is operating.
For operating instructions, refer to the operation manual of the remote controller. See the air cleaning/purification icon on the display of the wired remote controller during the normal operation. It is not possible to see the air cleaning/purification icon on the wireless remote controller display (in this case, follow the operation display on the corner cover).
- When it is time to replace the filter, the filter sign is indicated on the display of the wired remote controller. In case of wireless remote controller, the filter sign is indicated on the receiver on the decoration panel).
■ Malfunction of the UV streamer air purifier unit is indicated on the display of the wired remote controller. In case of wireless remote controller, the malfunction of the UV streamer air purifier unit is indicated on the receiver on the decoration panel.
If an error displays, carry out an inspection in accordance with the operation manuals of the UV streamer air purifier unit and wired or wireless remote controller.
For details, follow the installation and operation manual of the wired or wireless remote controller.
The errors of the UV streamer air purifier unit kit will not be visible in the Onecta application for Sky air units. In this case it is necessary to see the errors displayed in the wired or wireless remote controller.
How to Operate
Check before operation
- Are the pleated filter and protective net properly installed?
(If the pleated filter and protective net are not properly installed, the UV streamer air purifier unit will not operate correctly.) - Is the air filter of the indoor unit properly installed?
How to Operate
Preparation
Turn on the power breaker of the air conditioner.

Run the air conditioner. (For operating instructions, refer to the operation manual of the remote controller.)
NOTES
- The UV streamer air purifier unit purifies air while the air conditioner is operating. (Air purification is possible also in FAN ONLY operation.)
- In order to purify the air effectively, the UV Streamer Air Purifier Unit is designed to work in cycles (in one-day cycle, the UV Streamer Air Purifier Unit will take 6 hours to work, divided into 3-hour working -> 3-hour off -> 3-hour working)
- When the UV streamer air purifier unit is installed, air volume, performance and operation sound of the indoor unit may be altered
- The pleated filter can be used up to 12 months (2,500 hours). The pleated filter lifetime may vary depending on the room conditions. In rooms with lot of pollutants (smoke, pets, high traffic areas...) pleated filter may require more frequent changes.
- The pleated filter CANNOT be renewed by washing.

- Read the service manual before opening the appliance.
- For details on how to clean the air filter and suction grille, refer to the operation manual of the indoor unit.
- If the protective net or pleated filter needs to be opened or removed for maintenance, please request to your dealer or the contact centre. (Refer to the back cover.)

- When an error is indicated during operation, the UV streamer air purifier unit stops automatically. (The air conditioner continues operating.)
- If the problem persists even after checking the above, do not attempt to repair by yourself, but contact your dealer. When contacting your dealer, provide the symptoms and model name. The model name is found on the model name plate (Refer to Page 5).

■ Retention period of functional parts for repair
Functional parts for repair refer to parts required for maintaining the product functionality.
The company will retain functional parts for repair of this UV streamer air purifier unit for 9 years after discontinuation of production.
■ Recommendation to have a maintenance contract
After several seasons of use, performance of the UV streamer air purifier unit may degrade as its interior becomes dirty. The company recommends that you conclude a maintenance contract (charged) since disassembly and internal cleaning of the unit require specialized skills.
■ Guideline for inspection and maintenance cycle
[Note that maintenance cycle does not indicate warranty period.]
- Read the service manual before opening the appliance.
Table 1 assumes the following conditions of use.
(1) Normal conditions of use with no frequent running and stopping.
(Although it depends on the model, the standard number times the unit runs and stops in normal use is no more than 6 times per hour.)
(2) The operating time of the product is assumed to be 10 hours/day, 2,500 hours/year.
