Frequently Asked Questions - TX100 INTENSO

How do I connect the Intenso TX100 SSD to my computer?
Use the supplied USB cable. Plug the USB-C end into the SSD and the USB-A end into your computer. The system automatically detects the device and installs drivers. A drive named "Intenso" appears in This PC.
How to safely remove the external SSD?
Before disconnecting, use the "Safely Remove Hardware" option of your operating system. Make sure the LED is not flashing (no access in progress). Close all open files on the SSD to avoid data loss.
Is the SSD compatible with Mac and Windows?
Yes, it is compatible with Windows 8 or later and Mac OS 10.x or later. No additional drivers are required. It is pre-formatted as exFAT for optimal compatibility between both systems.
What should I do if my computer does not detect the SSD?
Check that the USB cable is properly connected. Try another USB port. If the problem persists, test on another computer. Make sure your operating system is up to date. Contact support if nothing works.
How to avoid data loss?
Regularly back up your important files. Never disconnect the SSD during a transfer (flashing LED). Use safe ejection before removing the cable. Data recovery is not covered by the warranty.
What does the LED on the SSD mean?
The LED stays solid when the SSD is connected and ready. It flashes during read or write operations. Do not disconnect the SSD while it is flashing.
What is the maximum transfer rate of the TX100?
The maximum transfer rate is 5 Gbit/s (USB 3.2 Gen 1x1). Actual performance depends on your computer and file types. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports (reduced speed).
Can I use the SSD with a gaming console?
The SSD can be used with PS4, PS5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S to store and play games. Check formatting compatibility (exFAT or NTFS). For optimized games, internal storage is recommended.
How to format the SSD?
On Windows, right-click the drive in "This PC" and choose "Format". On Mac, use Disk Utility. Choose the file system according to your need: exFAT for Windows/Mac compatibility, NTFS for Windows only, or APFS for Mac only.
What to do in case of malfunction?
First consult the user manual. If the problem persists, contact technical support: support@intenso-international.de or by phone at +49 (0) 4441-999 111 (Mon-Thu 9am-4:30pm, Fri 9am-2pm). Do not attempt repairs yourself, as this would void the warranty.
