USER MANUAL AFM 4011 AMICA
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Note! To minimise the risk of fire, electric shock or injury:
- Carefully read this instruction before using the appliance.
This appliance is for household use only. - This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and older or by persons with physical, mental or sensory handicaps, or by those who are inexperienced or unfamiliar with the appliance, provided they are supervised or have been instructed how to safely use the appliance and are familiar with risks associated with the use of the appliance. Ensure that children do not play with the appliance. Do not allow children to clean and maintain the appliance unless they are 8 years or older and are supervised by a competent person.
Children do not realize the dangers that can arise when using electrical appliances; therefore keep the appliance out of reach of children. - If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced to prevent danger. The power cord must be replaced by a service technician authorised by the manufacturer or by another qualified person.
- Turn off and unplug the appliance from power when not in use and before cleaning, maintenance, or moving.
- When removing the plug from the wall outlet, always pull on
the plug, not the cord, while holding the socket with your other hand.
- Exercise caution as the surfaces of the appliance may become hot during operation.
- Do not submerge any part of the appliance in water or other liquids.
- Do not cover the air inlet and outlet openings while the appliance is in operation.
- Do not fill the frying pan with oil as this may create a fire hazard.
- Never touch the inside of the appliance when it is on.
- Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
- During hot air frying, hot steam is released from the air outlet openings. Keep your hands and face away from steam and air outlet openings. When removing the tray from the appliance be careful of hot steam and air.
- Immediately unplug the appliance from power if dark smoke is emitted. Before removing the tray, wait until no more smoke escapes from the appliance.
- Warning: Potential injuries may result from improper use.
- Make sure the frying basket is locked in place at the front of the holder- both tabs of the frying basket handle must be fully inserted into the grooves on the top of the basket holder.
- Ensure the frying basket hold
er is fully inserted and the handle is securely attached to the frying basket holder while the air fryer is running. WARNING: The air fryer will not operate if the frying basket holder is not completely inserted.
- Do NOT operate this appliance using an external timer or a separate remote control system.
- Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those for which it is intended.

Make sure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate corresponds to that of your home electrical mains. Alternating current must be used, typically marked .

Note! The spacer bracket prevents the appliance from being pushed closely against the wall. Proper spacing from the wall allows efficient ventilation.
OPERATE THE APPLIANCE:
Touch the power switch to turn on the appliance (you can now select functions). Select the function (temperature and time can be adjusted with the Temp and Time arrows - see the table for temperature and time settings for individual functions). When you have adjusted the time and temperature to your needs, touch the and the appliance will start. Touch the button again to stop cooking.

OPERATE THE APPLIANCE
- Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface so that the power cord reaches the wall socket. Ensure that the appliance is used in a well ventilated room and do not place the appliance near any flammable substances.
- Insert the frying basket into the holder and secure it, then slide it into the body of the appliance.
- For best results, let the appliance heat up for about 3-6 minutes before you place food in the appliance
- Pull out the frying basket holder and place the food in the frying basket.
- Place the holder with the frying basket in the appliance. Touch The appliance will beep and start cooking. The set time and temperature will be shown on the display.
- Select the function on the control panel. The appliance shows the default cooking temperature and time or you can set temperature and time according to your needs. Then touch the!The appliance starts to cook your food.
- Halfway through the cooking time, the appliance beeps five times and the "shake" light comes on. Pull out the frying basket holder (the appliance will stop), stir or turn the food over to ensure even frying, and then slide the frying basket holder with the frying basket back into the appliance. The appliance will resume cooking.
- The appliance will beep when programme ends. Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet, remove the frying basket with the holder, place it on a flat, heat-resistant surface, and then remove the cooked food using the strainer spatula.

If the frying basket holder is not fully inserted, the appliance will not operate. The frying basket holder must be fully removed from the appliance to deactivate the appliance protection function. The appliance retains its settings for two hours after a power outage. When you remove the frying basket holder and stir the food during frying, fully insert the frying basket holder into the appliance to continue cooking.

Be careful to avoid scalding by steam or tipping over of the frying basket, which may result in burns from hot oil or food. Also use a spatula to take out the food.
- A small amount of white smoke or an unpleasant odour may be emitted during first use of the appliance. This is normal and there is no need to worry.
- The quantity, thickness and shape of the food and whether the food is thoroughly thawed can affect the total frying time. Frying smaller portions will reduce the cooking time.
- Be careful when turning hot food. To avoid injury or damage to property, do not turn food by shaking the appliance.
- After using the appliance, never place the frying basket holder on
a heat-sensitive surface. Always place the frying basket holder on a suitable heat resistant surface or mat.
CLEANING AND CARE:
- To avoid burns, only clean the appliance when it cools down.
- After use, to avoid damage to the coating from food residues and oil stains, clean the frying basket and its holder.
- To prevent damage to the appliance, avoid using caustic detergents.
- Wipe the appliance with a soft and clean cloth. To prevent water from getting inside the appliance do not clean the appliance with an excessively damp cloth, which can lead to a short circuit and fire. 5. Do not clean the appliance with other cleaning appliances and do not wash it in the dishwasher. This may lead to damage or affect the use of the appliance.
- Wash the frying basket and its holder with water and a little mild detergent.
