  • This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • If the external flexible cable or cord of this appliance is damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Do not use this appliance in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. Do not install this appliance immediately below a socket.
  • Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Do not touch the appliance when in use or shortly after use. Do not rest the power cable on the appliance when hot.

  • The use of an extension lead or multi-plug adaptor is not advised when connecting this appliance to the mains. Connection through these devices could lead to a risk of overloading, overheating and even fire at the extension lead or adaptor due to inadequate connection quality.
  • Install the appliance in a vertical position and at a distance of minimum 0.5 m away from furniture and other objects. Never operate the appliance near inflammable or explosive materials or gases.
  • The first time you use the appliance, a little smoke and smell due to the protective substances applied to the heating element before transport may be given off. This is normal and should not be considered a fault.
  • This appliance must only be used for space heating.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended.
  • The erroneous use of this heater may result in damage and lead to life-threatening risks such as injuries, burns, explosions, or poisoning. The first symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning may be confused with those of the flu: headache, dizziness and/or nausea. These symptoms may be caused by an improper working of the heater. If you experience one of these symptoms, immediately proceed in the open air. Also, ask a qualified technician to repair the device.
  • This device requires a flexible gas hose and gas regulator. Check with your gas supplier. Hose: EN 16436-1 class 2/class 3 compliant hose (length < 2 m); regulator: G30:28-30 mbar, G31: 37 mbar.
  • Any cleaning, maintenance or repair activity involving a dangerous component (e.g. replacement of a damaged power cable, repair of the burner) must be done by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a qualified technician in order to avoid risks.

1. Make sure all components are standing safely.

2. Use a clamping screw to fix the holder on the bottle.

3. Screw the pressure controller and the gas hose on the valve of the gas cylinder.

4. Use the butterfly nut and the chrysanthemum gasket to put the heater to the required

position. Fix it on the stand.

5. Screw the other end of the gas hose to the safety valve. Make sure all the screws are tight.FT5130

4.2 Connection to the Gas Cylinder

Keep the gas cylinder and heater away from any open flames.

Before connecting the appliance, check the installation regulations in force in the country where the appliance is to be used.

1. Place the heater element on top of the gas cylinder.

2. Connect the gas regulator to the gas cylinder. If the regulator is not supplied, please

contact your gas dealer for more information on the correct type for the gas cylinder being used. Compliant gas regulator: G30 at 28-30 mbar, G31 at 37 mbar, which must comply with regulation EN 16129:2013 or EN 12864:2001+A1:2003+A2:2009.

To avoid twisting the hose please connect the hose with the regulator and heater carefully. Make sure the length of the hose is between 50 cm and 2 m, PVC or rubber type, which must comply with EN 16436-1:2014+A3:2020.

3. Turn open the regulator.

Before putting the device into operation, check for gas leaks at the screwcaps using a detection spray or soapy water. Retighten them if necessary.

4. Test for gas leaks.

Testing must be carried out in a well-ventilated area, free from naked flames and any other sources of ignition. With the regulator connected to the cylinder turn on the regulator control. Brush all hose connections, pipe connections to the valve and gas cylinder valve with a 50:50 solution of detergent and water. A stream of bubbles forming indicates a leak. If a leak is found turn off at the regulator and disconnect the regulator from the bottle and remove the gas cylinder outdoors or to a well-ventilated area. Contact your gas supplier for assistance. Stop using the heater.

5. After leak testing is satisfactory, close the back of the heater. It may be necessary to move

the heater slightly to allow the regulator and hose to fit in the back without kinking them.

6. Regularly check the hose, regulator and cylinder for leaks. If necessary, replace the hose.

7. Install the cylinder in a proper and safe place.

4.3 What to Do if You Smell Gas

1. Do not touch any electric switch nor use any phone in the building. Do not try to switch on

2. Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbour’s phone and follow the gas supplier’s

instructions. If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire department.

3. Push in or turn off the gas control using only your hand and never use tools if the control

cannot be pushed in. Excessive force or use of tools may result in fire or an explosion. Contact a qualified service technician.

4. Do not use this appliance if any part of it has been under water. Immediately contact a

qualified service technician to inspect the appliance and to replace any part of the control system and any gas control which has been under water.FT5130

Never aim the heater at the cylinder. The hose must always trail at the rear of the heater. Never separate a switched-on heater from the gas cylinder.

1. Make sure the heater has been assembled correctly.

2. Open the regulator to feed the gas.

3. Turn the control knob to position 1 and hold pressed. Ignite the pilot light with a match.

Keep pressing the control knob for another 10 seconds.

4. Turn the control knob to position 2 to adjust the flame.

5. To turn off the heater, interrupt the gas feeding by closing the regulator. Once the flame

has died out, turn the control knob back to position 1.

4.5 Disconnection of the Gas Cylinder

1. Switch off the heater by closing the cylinder valve. Let the heater cool down for 30

3. Loose the butterfly screw by turning it in an anticlockwise direction and take the heater

element from the cylinder.

4.6 Changing a Gas Cylinder

Only replace the gas cylinder in a non-flammable and non-smoking environment.

1. Close the valve of the gas cylinder.

2. Unscrew the regulator from the valve of the cylinder. Remove the device. Take the empty

cylinder away from the heater.

3. Make sure the sealing of the pressure controller is still place.

4. Install the heater onto a new gas cylinder. To do so, follow the instructions described

5. Care and Maintenance

  • Have the heater checked by a qualified authorized technician once a year.
  • Periodically check that the gas hose is intact. If it is expired, have it replaced. Only use a gas hose of the correct length.
  • Clean the heater using a soft and dry cloth. Avoid using aggressive, abrasive or inflammable products.

6. Service Instructions Intended for the Technician

  • The technician must read this user manual prior to start replacement, repair or maintenance activities on the heater. Please contact the manufacturer if technical support, information on spare parts or other information about this heater is needed.
  • Never operate the heater in a non-authorized manner.
  • Maintaining, replacing and repairing parts of the heater does not require special tools. Always check for gas leaks in the circuit or at the connections, and make sure the pressure is correct after and before each replacement or reparation.
