Frequently Asked Questions - 630 Mobileye

How to turn on or off the Mobileye 630?
To turn off the system, press and hold the central button on the vision sensor or on the EyeWatch screen until the screen turns off. To turn on, press any button. The system activates automatically when the vehicle starts.
What are the different types of alarms?
The Mobileye 630 offers several alarms: Forward Collision Warning (FCW) up to 2.7 seconds before a collision, Urban Forward Collision Warning (UFCW) below 30 km/h, Pedestrian Collision Warning (PCW) during the day below 50 km/h, Lane Departure Warning (LDW) above 65 km/h, Headway Monitoring Warning (HMW) with display in seconds, and other optional features such as Intelligent High Beam Control (IHC) and Traffic Sign Recognition (SLI/TSR).
How to adjust the volume of alerts?
On the main screen, press the (-) button several times to decrease the volume or the (+) button to increase it. There are 6 sound levels (0 to 5). When the volume is at zero, LDW and HMW alerts are deactivated, but the volume of FCW, UFCW, and PCW alerts remains at default 3.

If the temperature icon appears, the system has overheated. Wait a few minutes for it to cool down. Using the air conditioning can accelerate cooling. If the problem persists, contact your installer.
What are the limitations of the system?
The Mobileye 630 does not replace attentive driving. It does not perfectly detect all vehicles, pedestrians, or lanes, especially in poor visibility (night, dirt, bad weather). It is designed for paved roads with good markings. The driver remains responsible for safety.
How to adjust the sensitivity of the following distance alert (HMW)?
From the EyeWatch screen, press the menu button, navigate to the HMW icon, then press menu again. Use (-) or (+) to adjust the threshold between 0.1 and 2.5 seconds. Confirm by pressing menu again or waiting 5 seconds.
How to enable or disable the LDW function?

System Limitations

  1. The Mobileye 6-Series Systems are intended for paved roads with lanes that are clearly marked.
  2. The Mobileye 6-Series Systems cannot "see" better than the driver. It is the driver's responsibility to be alert and aware at all times, and to depend on his or her eyesight and hearing when driving.
  3. The Mobileye 6-Series Systems detect fully visible rear-ends of vehicles. Therefore, crossing, oncoming, and passing vehicles cannot be detected.
  4. The Mobileye 6-Series Systems do not guarantee 100% accuracy in detecting vehicles, pedestrians or driving lanes, or in providing warnings for all potential road hazards. In addition, road, weather and other conditions can adversely affect the Mobileye 6-Series Systems' recognition and response capabilities. Any conditions that create partial or full blockage of the vision sensor's view will result in no or reduced functionality of the Mobileye Systems. Always ensure that the vision sensor has a clear field of view.
