This provides the be protection and prevents damage. Securing your Speakerphone The Speakerphone has a 1/4“ threaded hole in the centre of its underside, which can be used to screw it onto a tripod, for example. Charging the battery We recommend you use only the supplied USB cable to charge the battery.
1. Use the cable supplied to connect the beyerdynamic
SPACE MAX Speakerphone to any andard-com- pliant live USB-C socket (e.g. USB power adapter) via the USB-C po. If necessary, use a USB adapter (see „Scope of delivery“ on page7).
2. Remove the USB cable aer charging.
Quick charge The speaker phone can be charged quickly via USB-PD (USB Power Delivery) using the primary USB-C connector. To quickly charge the device’s battery, the power consumption mu be up to 30 W depending on the charger’s peormance according to the PPS (program- mable power supply protocol) of the USB-PD 3.0 andard. Remarks on the life of Li-ion batteries
- When fully charged, disconnect the USB cable from the charging unit and the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone.
- CAUTION! High temperatures, especially with a high charge level, can cause irreversible damage.
- If the battery is not used or is ored for extended periods of time, it is recommended to charge it to approx. 50% and ore it at no more than 20°C.
- Switch o the battery-powered product aer use. Power bank function The beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone can also be used to charge other devices (e.g. smaphones). ► Connect the device to be charged (e.g. smaphone) to the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone with the secondary USB-C po using the USB cable. Charging stas automatically. An LED next to the USB-C po indicates that an external device is being charged. The LED lights up red. Displaying the battery charge level ► Briefly press the button once. The charge level is displayed via the LED ring. Using the product with a USB cable connection You can operate the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speaker- phone with a PC or laptop using a USB cable connection.
3. If the speakerphone has not come on automatically,
switch it on with the on/o switch. LED display of charge level: Red*: Battery 0–25 % full

*) The LED flashes when the charge level is close to zero Using the product with Bluetooth® connection You can operate the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speak- erphone via Bluetooth® with a smaphone or PC. For this, the Bluetooth®function mu be active, and the speak- erphone mu be paired with the output device. You can find inructions on how to operate the product under „Operation“ on page9. SOFTWARE UPDATE Firmware updates are carried out via USB-HID using the beyerdynamic Update Hub. The so- ware for updating the product can be down- loaded here: https://byr.li/firmwareupdate The device has a firmware update function (DFU) via USB connection to a PC (Windows and Mac OS). COMPATIBILITY WITH PLAYBACK
DEVICES The beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone is compat- ible with Bluetooth® playback devices that suppo the following profiles:
- A2DP (for audio transmission)
- HFP (for phone operation) All associated functions are only available if they are suppoed by the playback device.
SUPPORTED AUDIO CODECS
The beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone suppos the audio codec SBC. Please note that only the Codecs available in the play- back device can be used for audio transmission. The playback device and the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone device automatically select the be mutually available Codec: In this case SBC. OPERATION Switching on and o To switch on: ► Press the on/o button for 1 to 3 sec. To switch o: ► Press the on/o button again for 1 to 3 sec. Activating and deactivating the Bluetooth® function Activate: ► Press the button twice, holding it down the second time. The LED lights up white: Bluetooth® function is activated Deactivate: ► Press the button twice, holding it down the second time. The LED is not lit: Bluetooth® function is deactivated. Pairing with a device via Bluetooth® Before you can use the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone, you mu pair it with your mobile phone or another Bluetooth®-enabled device. The connection process may dier depending on the device. ► Please refer to the relevant operating inructions of the device with which you wish to pair the Speaker- phone. To eablish a connection: 9 Ensure the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone is switched on.

2. Activate the Bluetooth® function on the playback
device and search for new devices if necessary.
3. In the Bluetooth® menu of the playback device, select
“SPACE MAX” from the available devices and connect both devices. Aer a successful connection, the LED lights up blue. Each time the device is switched on again, the devices will connect as soon as they are within range of each other. Connecting with Google Fa Pair: Android devices from Android 6.0+ enable a fa connec- tion via Google Fa Pair.
1. Sta the connection to your beyerdynamic SPACE MAX
Speakerphone as described above. “beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone” is displayed on the connected device.
2. Select “beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone”.
The two devices are connected. If the Bluetooth® connection has been lo, the LED briefly flashes blue every 2.5 sec. Deleting the li of already connected devices: ► Press the button for longer than 10sec. The list of already connected Bluetooth®devices (maximum eight) is deleted and a connection to the active Bluetooth®device is established. A double signal tone confirms success. Bluetooth® connection with a USB Bluetooth® adapter A USB Bluetooth® adapter is required to enable a wire- less Bluetooth® connection to a laptop or desktop PC while ensuring compatibility and synchronisation of the corresponding commands from related communication plaorms such as Microso Teams or Zoom. The andard Bluetooth® protocols of laptops and desktop PCs do not suppo these commands. The USB WL Adapter (available as an option) has a pairing button to allow it to be connected to a beyer- dynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone. It can be ored on the underside of the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speaker- phone. For more information, please refer to the operating inructions of your USB Bluetooth® adapter. When the two devices are successfully paired, you will hear “cascade successful” Disconnect 9 Check that both SPACE MAX devices are connected. ► Briefly press the button and the button simultaneously on both SPACE MAX devices. The Bluetooth® connection between the two devices (cascading) is deleted. Conference cascade connection The connection is intended for connecting two beyerdynamic SPACE MAX devices in conference cascade mode. For this, two speaker phones are connected via the jack socket with a beyerdynamic cascading cable (to be ordered). Pairing with the output device is done via one of the two speaker phones connected with the cable. Multi-point operation The beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone can be paired with severalBluetooth®-enabled devices. In normal mode, up to eight devices can be paired. In business mode, only one device can be paired. Active connections are possible with up to two devices at a time. However, playback of music and phone operation is only possible with one device at a time. Phone opera- tion has priority over playback of music, i.e. playback of music is interrupted during phone calls. Priority li when using the playback devices (PD): PRI. Icon is a steady red when mute. ► Briefly press the button again. Mute is cancelled. Playing media The functions described depend on the playback device and playback device soware and may not be avail- able. To a / pause playback: ► Briefly press the button once. To play the next / previous track: ► Briefly press the button twice / three times. Calling up the personal assiant To call up the personal assiant of your smaphone or tablet: ► Press the button for 1 to 3sec. Using Sound-Activated Lighting Mode When Sound-Activated Lighting Mode is activated, the LED ring lights up in time with the audio signals. To switch on the function: ► Press the button and button simultaneously for 1 to 3sec. To switch o the function: ► Press the button and button simultaneously for 1 to 3sec. Using Business Mode In Business Mode, a maximum of one device can be paired with the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone. The pairing li is automatically deleted when the speak- erphone is disconnected or switched o. To call up Business Mode: ► Press the button and button simultaneously for 1 to 3sec. To deactivate Business Mode: ► Press the button and button simultaneously for 1 to 3sec. Using Stealth Mode In Stealth Mode, the illumination of the LED ring on the beyerdynamic Speakerphone can be switched o without switching o the speakerphone. Operating in Stealth Mode increases battery life during operation. To activate Stealth Mode: ► Press the button and button simultaneously for 1 to 3sec. The lighting on the LED ring goes out. To deactivate Stealth Mode: ► Press the button and button simultaneously for 1 to 3sec. The lighting on the LED ring comes on. Stealth Mode is also deactivated when the speaker- phone is switched o and on again. Controlling calls To accept a call: ► Briefly press the button. To end a call: ► Briefly press the button. To reject a call: ► Briefly press the button. To switch a call or accept a second call: ► Briefly press the button. 1. Set the volume to minimum on your beyerdynamic
SPACE MAX Speakerphone and to maximum on the playback device.
2. Then adju the volume only on your beyerdynamic
SPACE MAX Speakerphone and not on the playback device. This applies only to playback devices that do not auto- matically synchronise the volume. On playback devices that automatically synchronise the volume (e.g. iPhone, iPad, various Android smaphones), the volume on the speakerphone is always identical to the volume of the playback device.
3. Deactivate any audio eects that may be present in
the soware of the playback device. Attaching a Kensington lock To attach and lock the lock

Battery is empty or almo empty. ► Charge the battery. No audio output. There is no Bluetooth® con- nection. ► Connect beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speaker- phone with the playback device. The beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone does not appear among the available Bluetooth® devices in the playback device. The beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone is switched o. ► Switch on the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone. The beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone is not in connection mode. ► Set the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speaker- phone to connection mode. There is already a Blue- tooth® connection to another playback device. ► Disconnect the Bluetooth® connection to the other playback device and connect the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone to the desired device. The sound reproduction is too low, even though set to maximum on the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speaker- phone The audio signal being played back is too quiet. ► Set playback volume on the playback device to maximum. The wireless range is too low, or the connection is disrupted There is inteerence with other devices. ► Keep your diance from WLAN routers and micro- wave ovens. ► Do not and between the playback device and the beyerdynamic SPACE MAX Speakerphone. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

- Do not use cleaners containing solvents, as these can damage the suace.
