Frequently Asked Questions - MKA 2500 EINHELL

How to set the timer on the Einhell MKA 2500 air conditioner?
Press the TIMER button, then use the ▲ and ▼ buttons to set the operating time from 1 to 12 hours. If the timer is not activated, the unit will automatically switch off after 24 hours.
What to do if the condensation water tank is full?
The ON/OFF indicator lights up and the compressor stops. Turn off the unit, unplug it, remove the tank by its handle, empty it, and put it back. Restart the unit and select the desired functions again.
Why is the unit not cooling?
Check that the plug is correctly inserted and that the ambient temperature is between 16 °C and 30 °C. If the water tank is full, empty it. The compressor may take up to 3 minutes to start after switching on.
How to clean the air filter?
Unplug the unit, remove the activated carbon filter, clean it with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Never use gasoline, alcohol or thinner. Let it dry completely before putting it back. Clean it at least once a month.
Can I use an extension cord with this air conditioner?
No, it is not recommended to use an extension cord or multiple socket. Plug the unit directly into a suitable power outlet to avoid risk of overheating or fire.
How to use the Swing function?
Press the SWING button to make the vertical air vents oscillate automatically, ensuring uniform air distribution. The horizontal vents can be adjusted manually.
What is the maximum length of the exhaust hose?
The exhaust air hose can be extended from 300 mm to 1500 mm. Do not extend it beyond that and avoid kinks or sharp bends to prevent overheating and unit shutdown.
How to store the unit at the end of the season?
