All icons on the LCD screen will light up for 3 seconds and you will hear a signal tone. The clock will detect the indoor temperature and then start to search for the DCF77- time signal. Remove the plastic strip from the battery compartment to put the battery into operation. The battery is used as back-up. Note: Please use the original power adapter included with this product or a power adapter with the same specifications. Battery changing Open the battery compartment cover and insert 1 x CR2032 batteries by observing the correct polarity ( “+” and “ –“ marks) into the battery compartment. Close the batterie compartment cover again. Reception of the radio signal Press and hold the “ ” button for 2 seconds to start the DCF77 time signal search manually. The “ ” icon is flashing, which indicates that the DCF77 signal search is active. The dynamic display indicates that the signal is normal.

This procedure is repeated automatically up to total 5 times. During DCF77 signal reception, press the “ ” button once to stop searching for the time signal. Notes: A flashing radio mast icon indicates that the DCF77 signal reception has started A continuously displayed radio mast icon indicates that the DCF77 signal was received successfully We recommend a minimum distance of 2.5 meters to all sources of interference, such as televisions or computer monitors Radio reception is weaker in rooms with concrete walls (e.g.: in cellars) and in offices. In such extreme circumstances, place the system close to the window. During the DCF77 reception, only the "SNOOZE" and “ ” button have a function, other button operation have no function. If you want to carry out other functions of operation, please press the “ ” button to exit the DCF77 reception. During time signal reception, the backlight and projection will be temporarily turned off. The brightness will be restored after the signal search is finished. Manual time setting Press and hold the“ ” (SET) button for 2 seconds and the RCCEN5 ON/OFF display starts to flash. Press the “ ” or “ ” button to set the radio-controlled time function to ON or OFF. Press the “ ” button to confirm this setting point and continue to the next setting point. The sequence of setting points is as follows: RCC ON/OFF12/24Hr Time zone Hour Minute Date format (D/M or M/D) Year Month Date Weekday language Press the “ ” button to confirm the last item to end the setting procedures and the clock will return to the normal display mode. Notes: If there is no button operation within 20 seconds, the clock will automatically quit the setting and return to normal time display. While setting the value, press and hold the “ ” or “ ” button to quickly adjust the setting values. When choosing the 12Hr format, if “PM” is displayed before the hours, it means that the hour is post meridiem.
