  • The appliance must be unplugged: - If there is any malfunction when it is operating, - each time it is cleaned or maintained, - after each use.
  • Never unplug the appliance by pulling on the cable.
  • Only use an extension lead after checking that it is in perfect working order.
  • No domestic appliance should be used if: - it has been dropped on the floor, - If the cones are damaged or incomplete.

Do not use the appliance to grate or slice food that is too hard such as sugar or pieces of meat. Cut the food to make it easier to feed through the feeder tube. For best preparation results please use the yellow drum only for nuts, chocolate and parmesan cheese. Do not use the yellow drum to prepare potatos. For preparing potato pancakes (Kartoffelrösti, traditional German recipe) please use the orange drum.

WARNING: Before running the appliance, always make sure that the cone is perfectly positioned

on the motor drive unit (Figs.3 & 4). Your product is fitted with an On/Off button (B). To run the appliance continuously, hold this button down. F.A.Q. :

  • Choose the cone which corresponds to the desired use.
  • Fit the cone holder (D) on the motor unit (A) (Fig.1) by giving it a quarter turn to the left (Fig.2)
  • Place the chosen cone into the opening at the front of the holder (D) . The cone should be correctly positioned all the way into the drive (Fig.3)
  • Plug in the appliance.
  • Press the On/Off button (B) once or twice to lock the cone (Fig.4)
  • Insert the food through the feed tube (D) and push the food down using the pusher (C) (Fig.6)
  • To change the cone, turn the holder (D)

Dark green cone THICK SLICING (E3) Gratin dauphinois (serves 4) 800 g potatoes, 250 ml milk, 200 ml single cream, 1 clove of garlic, 2 egg yolks, 100 g gruyère cheese, salt and pepper.Slice the potatoes using the ThickSlicing cone (E3) . Put the slices in adish which has been buttered andrubbed with the clove of garlic. In a large bowl, mix the egg yolks, milk,and ream. Pour this mixture over the potatoes.Season and sprinkle with gruyèregrated using the Coarse Grating cone (E1) . Bake at 200°C (¯ 1h). Light green cone THIN SLICING (E4) Greek salad (serves 4) 1 cucumber, 2 large tomatoes, 1 red pepper, 1 green pepper, 1 medium white onion, 200 g feta cheese,50 g black olives (optional),4 tablespoons olive oil, 1 lemon, 30 g fresh herbs (choose one:basil, parsley, mint, coriander)Slice the cucumber into thin slicesusing the Thin Slicing cone (E4)

Red cone COURSE GRATING (E1) Summer Gratin (serves 6) 6 small courgettes, 2 potatoes, 1 onion, 1 cup cooked rice, 1 egg, 1 glass milk (about 150 ml), 150 g gruyere cheese,butter. Grate the courgettes and the potatoesusing the Course Grating cone (E1)

Slice the onion with the Thick Slicingcone (E3) . Brown all the vegetables inbutter. In an ovenproof dish, placealternating layers of vegetables,cooked rice, vegetables, cooked riceetc. Add the milk beaten together withthe egg, salt and pepper.Sprinkle with grated cheese and a fewknobs of butter. Place in the oven at180°C (20 min). Orange cone FINE GRATING (E2) Coleslaw (serves 4) ¼ white cabbage, 2 carrots, 3 tablespoons mayonnaise,3 tablespoons cream, 2 tablespoons wine vinegar,2 tablespoons caster sugar. Slice the white cabbage using theThick Slicing cone (E3) and grate thecarrots using the Fine Grating cone (E2) . Mix them in a bowl. Prepare thedressing by mixing the mayonnaise,cream, oil, vinegar and sugar.Season the grated vegetables with thesauce, stir and leave to stand for 1hour in the refrigerator. Yellow cone COURSE GRATING (E5) Apple gratin with almonds (serves 4) 6 apples, 60 g brown sugar, 50 g butter, 50 g whole almonds, 200 ml cream, 1 teaspoon groundcinnamon.Peel, seed and cut the apples intoquarters. Slice using the Thin Slicingcone (E4) and brown with 30 g ofbutter. Lightly butter an oven dish andarrange the caramelised apples at thebottom. Grind the almonds to apowder using the Course cone (E5) . In a bowl, mix the ground almonds,cream and cinnamon. Pour themixture over the apples and sprinklewith brown sugar. CLEANING THE APPLIANCE

  • Always unplug the appliance before cleaning the motor unit (A)
  • Do not immerse the motor unit, do not run it under water. Wipe the motor unit down with a damp cloth. Dry it carefully.
  • The store (D) , the cones (E1, E2, E3, E4, E5) and the storage accessory (F) can go in the dishwasher basket at the top using the “ECO” or “LIGHT SOIL” programme.
  • Handle the cones with care because their blades are extremely sharp.
  • Should the plastic parts become stained with foodstuffs such as carrots, rub them with a cloth dipped in a little cooking oil and then clean as usual.
  • All of the cones (E1, E2, E3, E4, E5*) can be stored on the appliance. Stack the five cones (Fig.10) and position them in the opening at the front of the holder (D) (Fig.11) . The storage accessory (F) clips over the opening at the front of the holder (D) (Fig.11)
  • Storing the power cord: push the cord into the cavity provided for this purpose (CORD STORAGE) (Fig.12)
