Frequently Asked Questions - FBPowerboat CasaFan

How to install the receiver of the FB-Powerboat remote control?
The receiver is mounted in the fan's suspension canopy (for rod models) or on the mounting plate (for FLAT, OFFICE FAN models). Follow the electrical connection diagram and ensure the fan's pull switch is set to the fastest speed before powering on.
How to code the transmitter and receiver?
Use DIP switches 1 to 4 on both the transmitter and receiver. Set them to the same position (all up by default). Switch 5 activates (ON) or deactivates (OFF) the light dimmer.
What to do if the remote control does not work?
Check the coding (DIP 1-4 identical), the transmitter batteries (not included), and that the fan's pull switch is on the fastest speed. Also ensure the power supply is properly connected.
Can I use this remote control with any CasaFan fan?
The FB-Powerboat remote control is designed for CasaFan ceiling fans. It is compatible with suspension rod models, FLAT, OFFICE FAN, and Vortice NORDIK. Check electrical compatibility (230 V, 50 Hz, max. motor power 115 W).
How to adjust the brightness of the light?
For FB-Powerboat models (with dimmer), press and hold the Light button to dim the light. Ensure that DIP switch 5 on the transmitter is set to ON. On the FB-Powerboat oD model, the light is On/Off only.
What to do if the fan only responds to certain commands?
Check the coding and batteries. If the problem persists, reset the coding by changing the position of the DIP switches on both devices. Also ensure the receiver is properly connected according to the diagram.
Can I use the remote control outdoors?
No, outdoor use, in garages, damp, or explosive environments is prohibited. The remote control is intended solely for indoor use in dry rooms.
How to clean the remote control?
Clean the transmitter with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use chemical or abrasive products. The receiver does not require any special maintenance.
What to do in case of malfunction after installation?
Immediately cut off the power supply. Check all connections and coding. If the problem persists, contact a qualified electrician. Damage due to improper installation is not covered by warranty.
How to change the fan rotation direction with this remote control?
The remote control does not allow changing the rotation direction. Use the direction switch (if present on the fan) only when the motor is completely stopped.
