It features a powerful electrical drive, a sturdy plastic casing, a safety switch, a collision guard as well as a grass box. Additionally, the equipment is height adjustable to 5 levels and has smooth- running wheels. For the function of the operating parts, please refer to the descriptions below. Noise and vibration values were deter- mined according to the standards and stipulations mentioned in the declaration of conformity. The stated vibration emission value was measured in accordance with a standard testing procedure and may be used to compare one power tool to another. The stated vibration emission value may also be used for a preliminary exposure as- sessment.
The vibration emission value may dier during actual use of the power tool from the stated value depending on the manner in which the power tool is used. Try to keep the exposure to vibra- tions as low as possible. Examples of measures to reduce vibration exposure are the wearing of gloves when using the tool and limiting the working hours. - This device must not be used by children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by chil- dren.
- This device can be used by in- dividuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and knowl- edge if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the device and un- derstand the resulting hazards. Preparation:
- Do not allow the use of this equipment by children or others who are unfamiliar with these operating instructions. Local regulations may specify the minimum age of the operator.
- Do not use the equipment when people and particularly children or pets are nearby. En- sure that children do not play with the device.
- The operator or user is respon- sible for accidents, injuries to other people or damage to the property of others.
- Check the terrain on which the equipment is to be used and remove stones, sticks, wires and other foreign objects that could become caught and thrown up.

INSTRUCTIONS CARE- FULLY. This unit can cause seri- ous injury if not used cor- rectly. Before using the unit, carefully read through the instruction manual and fa- miliarise yourself with all of its controls.24

- Before use, always perform a visual inspection to check whether the cutting blades, fastening bolts and the whole cutting unit are worn out or damaged. Damaged or worn cutting blades and fastening bolts must only be replaced as a set to prevent imbalance. Worn or damaged information signs must be replaced.
- Never use the lawnmower with damaged protective equipment or protective grating or without installed protective equipment, e.g. deector plates and/or grass collection equipment.
- Take care with equipment that has several cutting tools, as the movement of one blade may result in the rotation of the other blades.
- Use only spare parts and ac- cessories supplied and recom- mended by the manufacturer. The use of non-original parts will immediately invalidate the guarantee.
- Worn or damaged information signs must be replaced. Working with the Equipment: Do not place feet or hands near or under rotating parts when working. Risk of injury!
- Switch on the motor accord- ing to the instructions and only when your feet are at a safe distance from the cutting tools.
- Do not use the equipment in the rain, in poor weather, in a damp environment, or on wet grass. Work only in daylight or with good lighting.
- Do not work with the equipment when tired, lacking concentra- tion or under the inuence of alcohol or drugs. Always take breaks in good time. Take a sensible approach to the work.
- When working, ensure a rm stance, particularly on slopes. Always work across the slope, never upwards or downwards. Take particular care when changing the direction of travel on the slope. Do not work on excessively steep slopes.
- Run the equipment only at a walking pace. Take particular care when turning the equip- ment around, pulling it towards you or going backwards.
- Switch on the equipment care- fully and in accordance with the directions in these instruc- tions. Ensure sucient distance between feet and the rotating blades.
- Do not tilt the equipment when starting other than if it is nec- essary to do so when starting up in long grass. In this case, tilt the equipment by pressing down the handle bar such that the front wheels of the equip- ment are raised. Always check that both hands are in the work- ing position before returning the equipment to the ground.
- Do not work without the grass bag or collision guard. Keep25
away from the ejection hole at all times.
- Do not start the motor while standing in front of the dis- charge duct.
- When starting or turning the motor on, the lawnmower must not be tilted, unless it is re- quired to lift the lawnmower in the process. In this event, tilt it only as far as absolutely neces- sary and lift it only on the side facing away from the user.
- Stop the cutting blades when the lawnmower has to be tipped for transport over other areas than grass and when the lawnmower is moved from and to the area to be mowed. Caution! Danger! The blade continues to run after switch- ing o. There is a risk of injury.
- The equipment is not to be lifted or transported while the motor is running. Switch o the equipment if it has to be tilted in transit, when crossing surfaces other than grass, and when the equipment is being transported to and from the surfaces to be mowed.
- Always keep the grass ejection hole clean and clear. Remove cut material only when the equipment is stopped.
- Do not leave the equipment un- attended in the workplace.
- Do not work with equipment that is damaged, incomplete, or has been modied without the authorisation of the manufac- turer. Do not use the equipment with damaged safety devices or screens or with missing safety equipment such as deection and/or grass collection devices.
- Do not overload the equipment. Work only within the speci- ed power range and do not change the regulator settings on the motor. Do not use low- powered machines for heavy work. Do not use your equip- ment for purposes other than those for which it is designed.
- Do not use the equipment near inammable liquids or gases. Non-observance will result in a risk of re or explosion.
- Switch the device o, pull out the safety key and remove the battery. Check that all moving parts are at rest: - Whenever you leave the ma- chine, - Before cleaning the ejection hole or removing blockages, - When the equipment is out of use, - Before checking, cleaning or working on the equipment, - If the equipment has hit a foreign object or if strange vibrations occur during work. In this case, check the equipment for damage and have it repaired if applicable. - Ensure that all nuts, bolts and screws are tightened rmly and the equipment is in safe working condition.
- Check the mower for any dam- ages.
- Repair damaged parts as ap- propriate.26

- Always pull the circuit breaker/ ignition key if: - You leave the garden de- vice, before removing block- ages, - if you are examining, clean- ing or working on the garden device - after a collision with a for- eign object. Immediately examine the device for dam- ages and if necessary have it repaired, - if the garden device starts to vibrate unusually (check im- mediately!). Maintenance and Storage
- When servicing the blades, remember that they can move even if the power source is o.
- Ensure that all nuts, bolts and screws are tightened rmly and the equipment is in safe work- ing condition.
- Check the mower for any dam- ages.
- Do not attempt to repair the equipment yourself unless you have been trained to do so. Any work not specied in these instructions is to be carried out only by customer service cen- tres that we have authorised.
- Keep the equipment in a dry location and out of reach of children.
- Handle the equipment with care. Keep tools sharp and clean, in order to facilitate bet- ter and safer work. Follow the maintenance instructions.
- Wear protective gloves when changing the cutting device.
- Regularly check the grass col- lection device for wear and strains. For safety reasons, re- place worn or damaged parts. When adjusting the blades, take particular care to avoid ngers being trapped between the rotating blades and xed parts of the machine.
- Check that only replacement tools authorised by the manu- facturer are used.
- Before you shut down the ma- chine, let the motor cool down. Residual Risks Even if properly operating and handling this electric tool, some residual risks will remain. Due to its construction and build, this electric tool may present the fol- lowing hazards: a) Cuts b) Ear damage if working without ear protection. c) Damage to your health caused by swinging your hands and arms when operating the appli- ance for longer periods of time or if the unit is not held or main- tained properly. Warning! During operation, this electric tool gener- ates an electromagnetic27
eld which, under certain circumstances, may impair the functionality of active or passive medical implants. 1. Open the lower bar (4) and move it to
the desired inclination.
2. Fix the lower bar by means of the pre-
mounted quick-release levers (5). Install curved handle
1. Fasten the curved handle (1) with the
nuts, the washers and the upper tight- ening levers (2) to the right and left of the lower bar (4).
2. Clipping in the cable holders: Clip the
cable holders ( 15) onto the lower bar to xate the machine cable ( 16). If you loosen the quick release le- vers, you can fold down the curved handle and the lower part of the handle for storage of the device. Installing the grass box The collection box is already completely preassembled.
1. Loosen the Phillips screw (20a) on the
carrying handle (20).
2. Place the carrying handle (20) on the
upper side of the grass collection box (13) and screw it tight with a Phillips screw (20a) from below.
3. Place the plastic tabs (13a) over the
grass collection box rods (13b). Attention: Do not operate the ap- pliance until the collision guard and grass box are fully installed. Risk of injury! Initial Operation Before operating the machine,you must - install the upper and lower upper han- dles: - install the collection bag Caution! Risk of injury! During the assembly or disassembly of the collection bag, the engine must be turned o and all mov- ing parts must have come to a standstill. Remove the battery from the device before carrying out any work. Insert/remove battery Switch o the device, pull the con- tact chip ( 17) and wait for the blades to come to a stop. There is a risk of personal injury.
1. To insert the battery (7) into the de-
vice, push the battery along the guide28
rail into the device. It locks into place audibly.
2. To remove the battery (7) from the de-
vice, press the release button ( 7b) on the battery and pull the battery out. Operation Caution! Risk of injury! Always wear appropriate protective equipment and work gloves while working with the appli- ance. Prior to each use, ensure that the appliance is working correctly. Ensure that the col- lection bag is installed correctly and the device has been mount- ed properly. Do not use the device if a switch is damaged. Personal protective equipment and a fully functional appliance reduce the risk of injuries and accidents. Adjustments on the mower, as well as assembly and disas- sembly of the collection basket, mulch kit and lateral ejection chute, etc. may only be made while the motor is switched o and the blades are at a stand- still. Switch of the device, pull the con- tact chip ( 17) and wait for the blades to come to a stop. There is a risk of personal injury. Observe noise control and local regulations. Mounting/removing the grass box
1. To mount the grass catch box (13) lift
the impact protection (14) and mount the grass catcher box (13).
2. Lower the collision guard (14) onto the
grass box (13) - it will keep it in place.
3. To remove the grass box (13), lift the
collision guard (14) and unhook the grass box from the mounting bracket. Flap down the collision guard to the housing. A level indicator is tted on the side of the grass bag. Flap open: grass catcher empty Flap closed: grass catcher full Adjusting the Cut Height There are 5 dierent cutting heights:
60 - 75 mm - large cutting height
(8) and move it to the correct cutting height, as appropriate. The correct height is around 25 – 45 mm for a decorative lawn and around 45 –65 mm for a used lawn. A higher cut height should be selected for the rst cut of the sea- son.29
Observe noise control and local regulations. Switching On and Off
2. Lift the battery cover (6) of the
device housing and insert the charged battery (7) along the guide rail into the device. It clicks audibly into place.
3. Close the transparent cover (6)
4. Insert the contact chip into the
opening provided on the power switch (17).
5. Before switching on, ensure that
the equipment is not in contact with any objects.
6. To switch on, press the power
switch (17) and hold it down while pressing the safety switch (18) against the bow-type handle (1). Release the power switch (17).
7. To switch the apparatus o, let
go of the security switch (18). After switching o the equip- ment, the blade continues to turn for several seconds. Do not touch the moving blade. There is a risk of injury. Indicator charge level The remaining charge of the battery can be viewed on the battery charge level indi- cator (19) during operation. It is located at the upper handle (1), facing the user. The number of illuminated LED lights shows the charge level of the battery. Working with the Lawnmower Regular mowing encourages increased foliation of the grass and kills o weeds at the same time. Therefore, not only does each mowing increase the density of the lawn, it also produces an evenly resilient lawn. The rst cut is to be made in around April, at a growth height of 70 – 80 mm. In the main vegetation period, the lawn is to be mowed at least once a week.
- Run the equipment at a walking pace, in tracks that are as even as possi- ble. For gap-free mowing, the tracks should always overlap by a few centi- metres.
- Adjust the cut height so the equipment is not overloaded. Otherwise, the mo- tor may be damaged.
- On slopes, always work across the slope. Take particular care when going backwards and pulling the equipment.
- Clean the equipment after each use, as described in the chapter on “Clean- ing, Maintenance and Storage”. Switch o the equipment after work and in order to transport it, disconnect the plug and wait until the blade stops. There is a risk of injury. Cleaning, Maintenance and Storage Have work that is not described in these instructions carried out by a customer service centre that we have authorised. Use only original parts.30
Wear gloves when handling the blade Switch o the device, pull the con- tact chip ( 17) and wait for the blades to come to a stop. There is a risk of personal injury. Turn o the appliance and, before doing any servicing, remove the battery. The following cleaning and servicing should be done regularly. This will ensure a long and reliable service life. General Cleaning and Maintenance Work Do not hose down the lawnmow- er with water. Electric shock hazard
- Always keep the equipment clean. To clean, use a brush or cloth but no de- tergent or solvent.
- After mowing, use a piece of wood or plastic to remove adherent plant remains from the wheels, ventilation holes, ejection hole and blade area. Do not use hard or pointed objects, as these may damage the blade.
- Oil the wheels from time to time.
- Before each use, check the lawnmow- er for obvious defects such as loose, worn or damaged parts. Check that all nuts, bolts and screws are sitting rmly.
- Check the covers and protective de- vices for damage and check that they are sitting correctly. Replace them if necessary Changing the Blade If the blade is blunt, it can be sharpened by a specialist workshop. If the blade is damaged or showing signs of imbalance, it must be replaced
1. Turn the equipment over.
2. Use sturdy gloves and hold the blade
rmly (22). Turn the blade screw (21) anticlockwise o of the motor spindle using a screwdriver.
3. Install the new blade (22) in the re-
verse order. Ensure that the blade (22) is positioned correctly and the screw (21) tightened rmly. Storage Release the upper and lower quick-re- lease levers (2 + 5) and fold the bow-type handle (1) and lower bar (4) together so that the device takes up less space. En- sure that the cables are not jammed in the process.
- Keep the equipment dry and out of reach of children.
- Allow the motor to cool before storing the equipment in a conned space. We will not be liable for damages caused by our equipment where these are caused by improper repair or the use of non- original parts or by use other than for the intended purpose. Waste disposal and environmental protection Remove the battery from the device and take the device, battery, accessories and packaging for environmentally friendly recycling.31
Machines do not belong with do- mestic waste.
- Return the unit to a recycling centre. The plastics and metals in the unit can be sorted and appropriately recycled. Ask our Service Centre for details.
- Throw the cut grass on the compost. Do not throw it in the normal house- hold waste.
- Defective units returned to us will be disposed of for free.
