How to install the ION ORBIS Windows & Door Sensor?

Remove the protective film from the sticker and attach the detection unit to a fixed surface (frame) and the magnet to the moving part (door/window). Ensure the gap between them is less than 15 mm. No tools are needed.

How to pair the sensor with the Niceboy ION app?

Insert the CR2 battery and press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes rapidly. Then open the app, select 'My home' > Bridge > 'List of Zigbee devices' then 'Add a new device', or use the '+' in the top right corner to manually add the sensor.

Does the sensor work without the Niceboy ION ORBIS Bridge?

No, the sensor uses the Zigbee protocol and requires the Bridge to connect to the Wi-Fi network and the app.

What battery does the sensor use and how to replace it?

The sensor uses a CR2 battery. To replace it, open the compartment, remove the old battery and insert a new CR2 battery respecting polarity. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.

What is the detection range between the sensor and the magnet?

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Niceboy ION ORBIS Windows & Door Sensor detects the open and close state of doors or windows through the distance between the sensor unit and the magnet. The sensor uses Zigbee protocol which consumes low energy, but requires Niceboy ION ORBIS Bridge to Connect. No tools are required for installation, and simply peel and stick. This product is for indoor use only.

QUICK SETUP

1. Before activating the accessory, please make sure you have the Niceboy ION app downloaded and Niceboy ION ORBIS Bridge installed.
2. Insert the battery inside the sensor unit (CR2 type). Then hold the reset button for 5 seconds until the indicator light starts flashing rapidly.

3. There are two methods to add the device
   a. Open the Niceboy ION app, tap "Home" and then open Niceboy ION ORBIS Bridge. Click on „Zigbee devices list“, then on „Add device“ and then on „Add new devices“. The app will start looking for nearby devices. Once the device is found, it will appear on the screen. Click on the device and add it to your app.
   b. Open the Niceboy ION app, and then tap “+” in the top right corner to enter “Add Device page”. Select “Sensors”, then click on „Door & Widnow sensor“ and choose the Zigbee gateway (Niceboy ION ORBIS Bridge). Confirm that you inserted batteries, reseted the device and that its blinking rapidly (step 2). The app will start looking for a new device. Once the device is found, just add it to the app.

4. New device will be visible in Niceboy ION ORBIS Bridge and also on the page „Home“.

INSTALLATION

1. Remove the protective film from the sticker and place it on the sensor unit.
