Do not disconnect the plug by pulling on the cable. Pull the plug out of the socket, always grasping it by its housing. Avoid direct contact with grounded surfaces such as piping, radiators and refrigerators. Grounding of the body increases the risk of an electric shock. The device is intended for indoor use only. If the power cord is damaged (e.g. it is cut, its insulation is melted), im- mediately unplug it from the wall socket, and return it to an authorised service facility. It is not11
ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS allowed to use the product with a damaged power cord. It is not allowed to have the power cord repaired. It must be changed for a new one at an authorized service centre. The cross-section of the extension wires shall not be less than the cross-section of the wires of the power cord of the device. This should be checked on the insulation of the power cord and the extension cord, or contact the manufacturer of the device and/or the extension cord. If you notice any damage to any part of the device, you must discontinue using it. In this case, the device must be taken to an authorised service centre or replaced by yourself, if this is permitted by the user’s manual. Preparing the product for operation CAUTION! Turn off the product and unplug the power cord from the socket during all installation operations. The product must be assembled according to the below instructions. Only correct assembly ensures effi cient and safe operation. Remove the product from its packaging, remove all parts and then wash all parts in contact with the food according to the instruc- tions in the section entitled “Product maintenance”. Remove the bowl from the product by turning it so that the tabs in the base of the bowl slide out of the crease of the drive housing and then lift it up (II). Model 68251 has a bowl cap, carefully remove the snap-fasteners of the ring connecting the bowl to the cap, then separate the two parts and also wash them according to the instructions in the section “Product maintenance”. Check that the notches of the metal axis of the head meet the tabs of the drive axis (III). Only then will the product motor properly transmit the drive to the metal head. Assemble the bowl and the cap (for model 68251). Make sure that all the hooks of the cap ring engage with the edge of the bowl (IV). CAUTION! It is forbidden to use model 68251 without a correctly installed bowl cap. Make sure that the below is correctly installed. The tabs in the base should be blocked by creases in the housing. Set the product base according to the instructions. Make sure that the suction cups secure the product to the ground. Check that the product switch is in the off position - O. The plug of the power cord must match the power socket. Start the product by pressing the switch and moving it to the on position - I. The rotational movement of the metal head and heating of the heaters located under the head will begin. Allow the device to operate for about 1 - 2 minutes. Observe the operation of the product at all times. If you observe suspicious vibrations, excessive noise or smoke, turn the product off immediately using the power switch and unplug the power cord from the socket. Wait until the device cools down and then eliminate the cause of incorrect operation. It is forbidden to use a product that is not working properly. This may result in injury, electric shock and/or fi re. After warming up, turn off the product by turning the switch to the off position - O. Wait until the rotational movement of the head has come to a complete standstill. The product is ready for use. Winding of the cotton candy CAUTION! Only granulated sugar should be used for the preparation of the cotton candy. Do not pour other bulk products, e.g. coff ee, milk powder, into the metal head. Do not mix any food products with sugar. The only permitted addition to sugar is a small quantity of food colouring which produces coloured cotton candy.12
ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS Use wooden or paper sticks to wind the cotton candy. The stick should have a rough surface, which will make it easier for the cotton candy to adhere to it. Pour one measure of sugar carefully into the heated head. Do not pour sugar into other parts of the product. Start the product with the switch. Observe the product, after approx. 1 - 2 minutes the threads of cotton candy will start to form. Insert the winding stick vertically into the bowl and, without touching the head, guide it around the circumference of the bowl while rotating it around the axis (V). The cotton candy will start wrapping around the stick. Then carefully pull the cotton candy stick out of the bowl, rotate it horizontally in relation to the bowl and continue winding the cotton candy while continuing to guide the stick around the circumference of the bowl while rotating it around the axis (VI). The cotton candy is ready when its amount that is wound on a stick ceases to increase. CAUTION! The slower the rotation of the stick with cotton candy, both around the bowl and around the axis, the fl uffi er the cotton candy will be. CAUTION! Avoid touching the rotating head with the cotton candy on the stick. Cotton candy can be caught by the head. When you have fi nished winding the cotton candy, turn off the device using the switch and wait for the head to stop. Then wait about one minute for the head to partially cool down. Pour another portion of sugar into the head and start winding the cotton candy again or unplug the power cord from the socket, wait for the product to cool down on its own and proceed with maintenance. WARNING! The head heats up to a high temperature. Be careful to avoid burns. Do not touch the head during or immediately after operation. CAUTION! Never pour sugar into the rotating head. Always wait for it to stop. CAUTION! Do not use plastic sticks for winding, they may melt or deform under high temperature.

Caution! As the product is used for food preparation, maintenance must be carried out as soon as work is completed. Only proper maintenance will ensure the right level of hygiene. When you have fi nished, turn off the product, wait for rotation to stop completely, unplug the power cord from the wall socket and leave the product to cool down on its own. Do not accelerate the cooling of the head, for example by immersing it in water or pouring water into it. Remove the head and all parts of the bowl. Removed: the head and all parts of the bowl can be washed under running water with the addition of a mild dishwashing liquid. Dried sugar residues inside the head can lead to a loss of performance or even damage to the product. If this happens, immerse the head in warm water with dishwashing liquid and leave it to soak, then clean with a soft sponge and water with dishwashing liquid. Do not use brushes, metal dishwashers or other sharp objects to clean the parts of the product. Clean the device housing with a soft cloth dampened with a water and mild detergent solution. Wipe dry.
