How to install the CAMTVI5 camera?

Remove the base, drill mounting holes, route the cable, fix the bracket with the provided screws, then adjust the lens and connect the 12 VDC power supply and coaxial cable to the DVR.

What power supply to use for this camera?

Use only a regulated 12 VDC power supply. An unregulated power supply may damage the camera.

How to access the camera OSD menu?

Two methods: either by clicking on the camera channel in the DVR's live view, or through the DVR menu by selecting ADVANCED CONFIG then DCCS and choosing the channel.

Is the camera compatible with all DVRs?

No, it works only with TVI compatible DVRs, such as Velleman DVRxTx series. Velleman does not guarantee operation with other types.

How to adjust the varifocal lens?

Slightly turn the FOCUS screw (a) and/or (b) with a suitable screwdriver until the desired image is obtained.

What is the night vision range?

The maximum infrared range is 25 meters thanks to the 24 IR LEDs.

What is the camera's protection rating?

The protection rating is IP66, making it weatherproof and dust resistant.

How to clean the camera?

Clean the housing regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents.

What to do if the image is blurry?

Adjust the varifocal lens by turning the FOCUS screws (a) and (b). Also check that the IR filter is working correctly and that the camera is not obstructed.

Can I repair the camera myself?

No, the housing contains no user-serviceable parts. Opening poses a risk of electric shock. Contact your dealer for any repairs.

4. Features

This HDCCTV or TVI (High Definition Transport Video Interface) camera is equipped with a CMOS image sensor. The video image quality is 1080P. The IR-cut filter will filter the IR light, so it cannot distort the colour image. When it gets dark, the camera automatically switches to night mode. In night mode, the camera enables the IR LEDs and disables the IR-cut filter.

5. Installation

1. Remove the camera base. Loosen the hex screw on the outer ring. Hold the outer ring and turn the base in an anti-clockwise direction to unscrew it.

1. Choose your mounting spot. Take the base as a template and drill the necessary mounting holes. If necessary, drill a hole for routing the cables. Insert a nylon plug in each hole.

1. Pass the camera cable through the base and fix the bracket using the included screws. If applicable, pass the cable through the routing hole.
2. Slightly adjust the camera lens and aim it toward the surveillance area.
3. Replace the inner ring over the camera and hold in place.

1. Replace the outer ring over the inner ring and turn in a clockwise direction to fix.

1. Connect and power your camera (see below). Check the viewing angle on your PC.

2. Adjust the position and viewing angle if necessary.

6. Connection

1. Connect the power terminal of the camera to a 12 VDC regulated power supply.

2. Connect the video output of the camera to the video input of your DVR using a 75 Ω coaxial cable.

Remarks:

- Only use a regulated 12 VDC power adapter. Using any other type will damage this camera.

- Protect the connectors against moisture by applying some insulating tape over the connectors.

7. Camera Configuration

This camera has its own configuration menu. Either of the two methods below allows access the menu.

1. On the DVR live view, click the camera's channel to display it in full screen.
2. Open the control panel by clicking the camera and the panel icons.

- This camera will only work with TVI-compatible DVRs (Velleman DVRxTx series). Velleman nv does not guarantee this camera will work with other types of DVRs and can therefore not be held responsible in this event.

8. Varifocal Lens

The lens of this camera can be adjusted to capture the best images at a specific distance. Adjusting the lens is simple: just slightly turn the FOCUS (a) and/or ZOOM (b) screw with the appropriate screwdriver until you are satisfied with the image.

9. Cleaning and Maintenance

The camera does not need any particular maintenance. However, it is advisable to clean it occasionally to keep it looking like new.

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):

• All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
• Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.

You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

- Not covered by warranty:

- all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;

- consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts... (unlimited list);

- flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc....;

- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions;

- damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);

- damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;

- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.

- Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

- Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.

- Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.

- The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
